But I still went to do some follow up fire inspections this morning. That put me in the town offices during normal working hours, and I'm always there when it's empty on Saturdays. So I'm on the computer at the fire inspections desk which shares the office with the building and electrical. The building inspector is talking with this guy who wants to do work around his house and they are talking about the necessity for permits vs. property taxes. The inspector has nothing to do with the tax office but is CONSTANTLY fielding tax questions - and apparently it bothers him. The way he responded was... "What really jawks my jaw is how the tax office makes their money from our permits..." I NEARLY FELL OUT OF MY CHAIR!!!!
