Ron Livingstone acted pretty much the same way in Loudermilk! 1

blueschica Posted March 2, 2024 Posted March 2, 2024 (edited) We used to watch this with great dedication when we were elementary kids and it was on Bowling for Dollars or whatever. I'm not sure why our parents let us. It's pretty emotional (woman sent to death row when possibly innocent) and the final scene, with all the details of the California gas chamber at the time, is pretty gory. Anyway, Susan Hayward won an Oscar for her role (she's very good) and they have a lot of good films on TCM now for Oscar season. But, yeah, kind of like telling your kids to go watch "In Cold Blood." (In their defense, our moms worked and also the friend I used to watch with had 9 brothers and sisters! Moms were just glad we were watching tv! ) Edited March 2, 2024 by blueschica 2

It was a "delicacy" some friends Grandma's made growing up! The test of I think it got harder to do when neighborhood butchers went away but now they're kinda back. I'd rather get meat! 1

It always works for me. 1
