driventotheedge
115. J.Geils Band - Freeze FrameGreat choice!!! Thanks. I seem to be the only one on here who knows them.I'm a huge fan. Saw them once in 1980 and it was easily one of the 5 best concerts I've ever seen and I'm somewhere in the neighborhood of 300 live shows. They blew the doors of the place (Paramount in Seattle). They were so hot that something happened I've never seen before or since....after 3 encores with the audience going bonkers, the house lights were turned on but nobody would leave. We just kept screaming, clapping and stomping for more. They finally sent a roadie out and told us they'd do one more song if we promised it would be their last because "folks we have a show tomorrow and the guys are tired". Everyone cheered, they kept their promise and so did we. I have a cousin who saw them like '77 or '78 and says the same thing about how good they were live, easily one of if not the best live band she ever saw. Special for me because they were my first real rock band concert. Unfortunately, we(my dad and brother and I)left before the end possibly because we had school the next day. I was two months away from my 12th birthday. Edited June 6, 2020 by New_World_Man
