Der Trommler
I hate Roy but he did deserve some of the trophys he got. It's part of the way it goes. Thankfully, this isn't a popularity contest! It is based off stats & such....I have to go with it...

*Limelight*
Dion Phanuef and crosby also did not bad for rookies. I think ovechkin was the best choice though.

For sure. The Ocho had a little bit better year and a team that was never expected to do anything (and they didn't). Pens and Sid the Kid did have really high expectations and just farted all over the place.

I'm not saying that Crosby isn't good. Ovechkin was better. I agree with you...

D-13
QUOTE (Der Trommler @ Jun 23 2006, 02:06 PM) Well, this is the reason: Kiprusoff led all netminders in goals-against average (2.03) and shutouts (10), ranked second in victories (42) and was third in save percentage (.923). He backstopped the Flames to their first division title since 1994-95 by posting an 8-0-3 record in April with a 1.01 goals-against average and two shutouts. He also captured his first William Jennings Trophy as the goaltender on the club allowing the fewest goals during the regular season. I have to agree with this. He does deserve it here.... I greatly Concur
