Aren't you all just so tired of trying to talk about RUSH?

There is soooooo much more we can talk about or type about.

Rush will never ever play again together unless perhaps there is either:

 

Y. A Miracle From Almighty God. "Faithless"

Y. A Benefit Show In Toronto

Z. Neil Peart gets back on a real bike and loses 100 pounds, eats better, stops smoking and drinking and gets arm transplants to do a 2019 WORLD TOUR!!!!!!

 

Anyway, back to reality.

 

I was lucky enough to be able to see The Who last week in South Lake Tahoe. Pete was cranky as usual and said that "this could very well be the last show we ever play here in the United States." Kind of interesting to note that The Who was my first concert in my life when I was 14 back in 1982. The Clash opened. EPIC SHOW.

Of course I am a REAL RUSH FAN.

I was lucky enough to see the last RUSH show in LA.

So now wow, perhaps I have seen the last Who show too in the USA.

 

It's all gonna end kids. Embrace what you can see now.

 

Anyway the next night in South Lake Tahoe I was lucky enough to see Clutch open for PRIMUS! FUCCKING INCREDIBLE DOUBLE BILL!

Clutch kicked my ass but PRIMUS REALLY SUCKED MY ASS!

 

THE BEST!!!

 

I remember seeing PRIMUS open for RUSH three times on the "Roll The Bones" Tour. Incredible.

I remember seeing Primus on stage at the Oakland Arena. Les stopped the show and told the crowd that when he was a little kid he sat up in the rafters and saw the "Moving Pictures" Tour. He actually pointed to his seat.

I was blown away.

Les was so humble about opening up for RUSH. So amazing.

 

Anyway, I am so glad I woke up at noon on last Friday up 300 bucks and drove hungover straight to Berkeley to see Primus with Clutch again! Yep! Back to back to back!

 

This is how I used to be when I was young. Fuckk age. I will still do it.

I am so happy I saw Primus again at The Greek.

 

Les always talks about how much he loves this venue. He calls it a gem. It's his favorite place to play.

Man the set list was so different from Tahoe! I am sooooo glad I went again!!!

 

Les even came out and played the stand up bass with Clutch!! EPIC!

 

So here I am rambling.

PRIMUS VS METALLICA!

 

It's so funny how the masses still love and embrace Metallica.

I think they are shit now.

I am sure many of you would say the same about PRIMUS. However Tim is back in the band after two heart attacks and still kicking ass on the drums.

I like Brain and Jay but man, Herb is THE BEST!

 

I think Lars is so overrated and to be honest once Cliff passed away I think Metallica became corporate MTV SHITE.

 

But alas they still sell out around the world and humans love them.

 

You guys and gals can HAVE THEM!

 

So if you do the math Metallica has roots in El Cerrito California. Primus was born 7.3 miles away in El Sobrante California.

 

And yes it is true. Les Claypool actually tried out for Metallica after the tragic passing of the late great Cliff Burton. God Rest His Soul.

1) I prefer Sailing the Seas of Cheese over any Metallica album I've heard.

2) I really like Met's first 3 albums but Primus doesn't have 3 albums I "really like". I love Sailing/Cheese and I really like Frizzle Fry but their other stuff is either just okay or I haven't heard it.

3) I hate Reload but Primus has nothing I hate (that I've heard)

 

I'll say this though: More than likely, Les is Geddy's son from a parallel universe.

Yes JB! AMAZING PICS! I remember this so well!! Living here in the Bay Area and being "Earl The Shark Fisherman" during that same time period!

I knew about Les taking Geddy out onto the bay for some fishing!

 

My buddy and I bought a 22 foot boat with an inline 6 engine. She was a beaut and we caught a lot of shark and we ate everything we caught or released.

I had a huge Great White on my 30 pound test. I felt like I was in JAWS. Xavier the captain of our vessel would steer and go with the shark so the line would slack.

The Great White was taking us out to sea and under the Golden Gate Bridge. That shark was on my line for two hours but it eventually snapped!!

It was and incredible RUSH!! LOL!!!!

 

Dude, I have a million shark fishing stories.

 

Again, I was so obsessed with RUSH and PRIMUS back then.

 

To me PRIMUS was the TRUE new RUSH!

 

To see them open for RUSH three times on the "Roll The Bones' Tour was BEYOND! BLESSED!

I think I told the story on here somewhere many moons ago.

I saw Mr. Bungle open for Primus on New Year's Eve in San Francisco like back in 1992?

All I remember is seeing Mike Patton and the band come out and jam all wearing animal masks.

Mike was so fuckkied up that he took off his Converse shoe and wiped out his dick and pissed into his shoe!

He then held it up and made some silly toast and drank his own warm urine!

I was shocked but thought it was incredible!!!!

 

But then what really through me a curveball was when PRIMUS hit the stage.

This is true and you can look it up if you don't believe me.

It must be documented somewhere.

 

When PRIMUS played on that NYE's night the must have purchased or was given a lot of the RUSH PRESTO TOUR VIDEO FOOTAGE!!

I remember watching PRIMUS play that night in the city and looking up onto the ceiling and seeing all of this warped and strongly edited video footage of PRESTO TOUR video footage!

 

My mind was blown the fuckk away.

 

I saw the PRESTO Tour with MR BIG four times so it was all engrained in my head.

 

To see PRIMUS with the old RUSH video stuff was quite a mind scratcher.

 

Anyway it was one hell of a show.

 

I remember all of my shows since my first Day On The Green in 1982. I was 14. The Who with the Clash and T Bone Burnett.

 

Yep! I remember all of my shows like yesterday!!

 

Amazing how I am addicted to crack cocaine. Mary fuckking Jane, hard liquor. Beer, heroin, sleeping pills, cigarettes and my all time favorite!! Mushrooms mixed in with angel dust.
