Yet I believe we don't have a bonus for a perfect week.....why is that?

I do not think anybody brought it up. Maybe we can put it in next years pool.

 

I did early this year, I suggested we givecthe maximum points for that week as a bonus. Example: this week the max points is 16 you get that if you picked perfection. Especially since the two years I've been playing this game no one has hit that mark as yet. I came the closest last year 13-0 going into a Monday Night with one point to win or lose. I lost, however my idea was shot down on the pavement. That's a line from THE CLASH!

I do not remember that I think it is a good idea. I am going to read back through this thread and the unofficial thread to see where I/we missed this.

 

It was suggested last year, too, I believe. I can't recall if the reason for rejection was the same both years, but I do remember those not in favour of the bonus stating that scoring all possible points in a week was a sufficient reward.

 

If all participants are in agreement and want to add a perfect week bonus this year, please let me know so that I can account for it :)

I personally have no problem with the bonus idea. Knowing I suffer from sometimers (has not progressed to alltimers :D )I am still trying to rack me brain as I believe I would've supported the idea then as well as now. I however do believe that the perfect week bonus should be for regular season weeks only. With our new format including the playoffs and beyond the amount of games decrease and the point values rise the chances rise dramatically of having a perfect week. So if we want to do a late season vote for the "regular season" perfect week bonus, is fine with me. My vote

I personally have no problem with the bonus idea. I failed to mention this was ONLY for the regular season mainly for reasons you eloquently addressed. I try to hit it perfectly each week but I've come up short every time. In fact I've visited a site where the "experts" NFL pickers all 100 of them have NOT had a perfect week this year. It's just NOT an easy thing to do. My vote is yes as well.
