  1. QUOTE (Snaked @ May 16 2012, 12:36 PM) General Admission sucks. I don't need some roidhead crawling up my back, thrusting his fist in front of my face and spilling his overpriced beer on me all night long. Reserved seating is the way to go. +1
  2. QUOTE (losingit2k @ May 14 2012, 10:06 AM) QUOTE (TheBluePhoenix @ May 14 2012, 07:51 AM) There's no way they're going to play Available Light. I'd uncross my fingers now if I were you. I just love everytime someone comes up with "They'll never do that!' like they are inside RUSH's inner circle or mind or something! Prior to Test 4 Echo it was "They'll never play 2112 again" Then "They'll never play a Passage to Bangkok!" Followed by: "BY-Tor & The SnowDog","Cygnus X-1", "Circumstances", "Entre Nous"," Working Man", "Between the Wheels" "The Camera Eye", "All of Moving Pictures" No They will never play none of that again! If there's anything about RUSH is that they do what they want, and at times it's unpredictable! +1
  3. EXCELLENT post! Iron Maiden is still making great music and putting on great live shows. I am happy to see both bands this year.
  4. Agree with the above posts - would be awesome to here this one live!
  5. QUOTE (Unattractive Truth @ May 13 2012, 06:26 PM) We were in the front row on Friday for Roger Waters. As soon as we got to our seats, the guy behind us said "You're not the kind of guys who stand up all through the show, are you?" Are you kidding me? People are weird. You'll just have to judge it when you get there. How was the show? I am going up to Buffalo to see him in June.
  6. It happens. Just because someone is at a show and has a good seat, it does not mean he/she can recite and/or recognize every song a band has ever made. Fans come in all sizes and shapes. I was the same way for my first Maiden show when they played Phantom of the Opera. Never heard it before.

    911?

QUOTE (danielmclark @ May 11 2012, 03:19 PM) QUOTE (friendlyfloridian @ May 11 2012, 01:10 PM) QUOTE (drgrendel @ May 11 2012, 12:38 PM) Quick to judge indeed... Right back at you. I have the same right to my opinion as yours. I am not the one trashing you for your beliefs. But whoa I come on here asking for some opinions and I get trashed. Not good. You would have thought I started a religious debate. Now it's your turn to "Slow down there partner". You started a thread with a question and it was answered twice before you came back with (essentially) "I don't believe you, it must be 9:11 and I'm disappointed the band didn't consider my feelings before making this the album cover". You got your answer. You should have let it go at that. If you didn't really want the answer, you shouldn't have asked the question. Nobody trashed you until you started ranting about how nobody else has been through what you've been through and how insensitive the band is because of an image that you don't understand. +1
  8. QUOTE (rushjoe @ May 9 2012, 01:38 PM) Thanks ED. Here Again would another obscure song i would love to hear. Love alex wailing away on guitar the last 3 mins of the song. YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! My fav on the first record.
  9. Whining and discussion are not synonymous. For the sake of the better good, I will not continue this. Best of luck getting "good" seats.

    911?

QUOTE (friendlyfloridian @ May 11 2012, 10:41 AM) QUOTE (danielmclark @ May 11 2012, 10:36 AM) You're making connections that don't need to be made. Respectfully, it is easy for you to say this. It didn't happen to you. I, like you, know of someone(in my case friends and two family members) who lost their life that day. However, having that connection does not give me the right to make inferences that are not clearly there. Right from the initial moment the artwork was released, people noted the time 0f 9:12. I left it at that. Quick to judge indeed...
  11. I'm sorry if I am coming off as angry or disgruntled. I love Rush and I'll love whatever seats I get. I'm just a little frustrated with the process right now and I don't really appreciate being called spoiled. After I read this I envisioned a 5-year old throwing a fit when denied a cookie. Sorry.... If you are this upset over the process, perhaps the best avenue to take your anger and frustration is in the form of an email to the powers that be letting them know how awful it is. Whining here does nothing to change it.
  12. Motorhead has ruined my hearing so anythig that Rush throws my way up close pales in comparison. Having said that, I am not proud of destryoing my hearing at shows. Iron Maiden has done a wonderful job as well... I would advocate anyone wearing them if concerned. Ebay has them a little cheaper.
  13. "God Bless America" and "Oh Canada" over and over for 3.5 hours. "Tom Sawyer" as encore. As far as I am concerned, they can play anything their hearts desire and it will be awesome just the same.
  14. Oh my...you really do not see it do you? I wish you the best in your search for a good ticket. All I want is a simpler ticket buying experience Buying a ticket cannot possibly be any simpler. I made my purchase right at 1200 hours and had tickets paid by 12:00.33. Done deal.
  15. Chopping that wood taught me to appreciate what was offered in life and that hard work leads to good things. I am thankful for that. Was good for my health as well... I was scanning various venues for tickets and there are some really good seats available at most to all of them. Much better seats that the ones I got in the early days. Sorry, but that is my opinion.
  16. You missed the point. It is the general perception that pre-sales "owe" fans better tickets than other sales. Or...that pre-sales "should have this over that" that i have issues with. Where is it written that the best have to be offered first? Good ol' days indeed... Wish I had the opportunity to go online to get tickets when I was 13. Would have spared me chopping some wood in order to get my Dad to drive me to the city to get tix... Yeah....spoiled.
  17. QUOTE (Snaked @ May 10 2012, 12:52 PM) I really dont give a rats a$$ what they play anymore. I'm just happy I get to see my favorite band 30+ years after my first time seeing them. If they break out something I truly dislike like Stupidconductor, You Bet Your Life or Dog Years I'll have a clear shot at the mens room rather than having to fight the crowd at intermission. +1
  18. QUOTE (GeddyLeefan2112 @ May 10 2012, 01:23 PM) QUOTE (drgrendel @ May 10 2012, 12:17 PM) I wish we could go back to the good ol' days as well. Two Reasons: 1. Would not hear all the whining about how bad the seats are that you were offered. What happened to being happy to get a chance to see your fav band? 2. Would be happy to hear anything they played as opposed to beeching about what they have played too much of and what they have skipped all these years. Whine whine whine......spoiled rotten. You know, it's great that a lot of people have had a chance to see Rush a lot... but I am 22 years old. I get to see them once a tour. So yes, I am quite invested in getting good seats. This will be my third time ever seeing them. Forgive me for trying to get good seats and thinking that 12 presales is a little ridiculous. Sorry...no bleeding heart from me. I was 13 years old and wanted to see Rush. 1. No internet to buy tickets 2. Parents would not allow me to sleep overnight for dang tickets 3. Dad, if he could take the time, would drive me to the city to buy tickets. I took whatever they had. Know something? I was the happiest kid in the world because I was going! So yeah...spoiled.
