  1. Still haven't received my photo back from Greensboro. Chalking that up to a loss as I'm pretty sure I botched something on one of the mailing envelops, which is killing me because I have done autographs via mail in sports for years. Guess I just got sloppy. So round two is going out in a few weeks. Already got the ok from one venue saying they will forward it. Fingers crossed on this one. Need to figure out what to send.
  2. I'm still waiting on mine to hopefully come back from Greensboro. I live in New Jersey. Not feeling too good about it though.
  3. Has anyone happened to research the venues on the back end of the tour that forward fan mail? I'm starting to doubt myself and that I somehow screwed up the package I sent to Greensboro.
  4. Glad to see Greensboro items are making it back. Still waiting on my photo to hopefully come back. Fingers crossed for tomorrow or so.
  5. I sent out an 8x10 to Greensboro. What I did, and usually have always done for any 8x10s I send to bands/athletes....I have 2 envelops that are around 9x11. One is my SASE with 6 Forever stamps, which is usually more than enough. The other is what I send directly to the venue. In my envelop I have the SASE, a brief letter (hand written) and the 8x10 photo in a file folder. I also put in the folder with a pesonalization on a Post It Note because no matter what it's getting personalized. It's very simple. Hardest part is just making sure the venue of your choice forwards mail to the artists, which only takes a phone call or email. Another suggestion is not to send anything bigger than an album cover.
  6. Got my 8x10 of Massey Hall ready to go. Probably going in the mail Saturday for the 28th.
  7. I believe I had luck with Greensboro in the past as well as the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Atlanta. I've always called ahead of time to be sure mail is forwarded.
  8. I would love to hear Double Agent again. Loved it live in '94.
  9. My thoughts...don't send anything too big. An album cover is probably the limit. I only say this because I lost a poster on the Time Machine Tour. Only one I lost but got a few photos back over the last few tours. I have the venue picked out to send to. I hope it works out again. Good luck. Rule of thumb...don't send anything you're afraid to lose.
  10. Not sure if anyone covered this, but Neil did say at some point this past summer that they had the next 2 years already planned out. He made note that even for the band that's very rare. So if you go off that, I would have to say that there is a 2013 NA leg to come after Europe.
  11. Verizon Wireless Theatre in Atlanta said they would forward the mail. I sent a photo earlier this week. Had luck wtih them on The Time Machine Tour. Signed my 8x10. Trying another 8x10 made out ot my kids.
  12. "The arrow flies while you dream..." What does the arrow represent? Any ideas?
  13. QUOTE (garyg7133 @ Oct 2 2012, 12:38 PM)At the risk of being panned, get over yourselves. With 11k registered users, does anyone REALLY think that they represent the majority of fans? Seriously? There are thousands upon thousands of people going to these shows just about every other night. Do you speak for ALL of them? I'm going and I assure you, I don't even try to speak for anyone an nobody here speaks for me. I see people crying for this song and that and why don't they do this or that, the new album is great/sucks. This board is barely a blip on the radar in the grand scheme of Rush fans. Hell, I would never have found it if not for someone else telling me about it. Enjoy this music while you can because their touring days have far fewer tomorrows than yesterdays and what exactly will you be complaining about when Peart finally decides he's had enough? That he owes you one more tour opening ,closing and playing 22 renditions of Jacob's Ladder in between? If you don't like the set/album, don't go and don't listen. I hear air supply are touring, go see them. Agreed.
  14. Just an FYI and not sure if it's been posted. Barclay's Center in Brooklyn will NOT forward fan mail.
  15. In today's mail from the Pittsburgh show. NICE!!!!
  16. QUOTE (Amy Farrah Fowler @ Sep 13 2012, 02:38 PM)It came back to me!!!! I am having an incredibly Rushtastic day... http://apageatatime.net/images/gupcover.jpg Very cool. Hoping to see my Permanent Waves album come back in the next day or two.
  17. Sent my Permanent Waves album cover today to Pittsburgh. Fingers crossed.
  18. I ended up buying the tab book off Amazon about 2 weeks ago. Personally, I just don't have the time learn it all from ear. The CA book is awesome.
  19. I have gottent them via Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Atlanta in 2010 (8x10 photo) and I think the Bi-Lo Center (Caress of Steel jacket) in 2011. Send everything to: Rush c/o Liam Birt Venue address It's never a guarantee remember. Make sure you're ok if it never comes back.
  20. QUOTE (garyg7133 @ Nov 9 2011, 01:28 PM) The radio city botch job is great too, I think the all-time best though was TSOR . I forget where it took place but NP was off in la-la land and kept the beat going during the 2 pauses in the beginning of the song. Priceless. Ah, yes...another one I gave you That was in 2004. I believe it was Manchester. Coming out of r30 Medley into Spirit. Classic.
  21. Not to nit-pick...but it's Passaic, NJ. The theatre was torn down around 1990 I believe. Used to live in the next town over. Never it made it to a shows there. Same theatre Springsteen did one of his legendary shows that was broadcast on WNEW-FM in 1978.
  22. QUOTE (garyg7133 @ Nov 9 2011, 08:58 AM) Honestly, I would have LOVED for them to leave it in as is. Think about it, over the years a lot of us have seen RUSH countless times. Most of the time we get near-perfect performances. This tour seemed to have a lot of issues whether technical (still no guitar) or human (have you heard Alex botch the opening riff on freewill in Allentown?). I think it would have just been neat to leave it alone and say "hey, this is a live performance and sometimes it happens". I do remember that in Allentown. But nothing can top the Subdivions clunker at Radio City in 2004 with Geddy.
  23. Got this back from Greenville over the weekend. http://photos.sportscollectors.net/128278.jpg
  24. In today's mail from the Greenville show. NICE!!! http://photos.sportscollectors.net/128278.jpg
  25. QUOTE (That One Guy @ Jun 4 2011, 11:34 PM) So as it turns out, I'm going to make it to the Vegas show this year (excited!) and these threads have always made me want to get something signed. Can anyone throw out any important info or pointers to the process. I would like to get any one of these signed. 2010 Tourbook. 2010 Poster. Any CD Rush Book As far as addressing your package you're sending. 1. I would call the venue and see if you can find someone who can possibly confirm that they will forward fan mail. 2. When addressing it, I would send it to: Rush c/o Liam Birt - Tour Manager venue address. 3. Also, write somewhere on there "hold for show June XX, 2011. Hopefully it will go into a pile. I did not do that on my last one I sent out to Greenville. Im hoping that it still gets to the right people. Also, send a nice little note. Have a SASE envelop inside so all they have to do is seal it up and send it right back.
