Granted this is only based on a couple of the youtube vids that had decent audio... but to me it sounds like Geddy's bass sound is much clearer and has more punch than on recent tours... I assume he is indeed using the Orange amps. Can't wait till August!

Not only do they protect your ears, the sound is so much better with them in... I finally got my brother to use them when we went to see Michael Schenker a while back (he had always refused when I offered my spare set to him at concerts)... After the show he was freaking out about how much better and clearer the sound was and felt stupid for never trying them before. Bottom line: everyone should bring a pair and simply do an A/B test... Worse case, you don't like the sound with them in and simply take them out (and you are out a couple of bucks).

My guess is that this is the intro video that will open up the 2nd set.

I recommend ear plugs. they not only protect your ears, but they make the concert sound better. Some may disagree, but the difference is truly night and day for me AND if for some reason you don't like the sound with the ear plugs in, simply take them out... BUT if you do not bring them, you can not use them to hear the difference for yourself... Enjoy the show!
