Another RPG: Crimes Of Passion vs. Union

I love Union. Especially compared to the “Yes” albums that came after it. -
I love that video.

Just Let Star Trek DIE, Pretty Please?
chemistry1973 replied to Principled Man's topic in Video Vertigo
A huge disappointment to all the fans who want lots of bloody violence and close-ups of Deanna Troi's feet. It's like making a G rated Saw or Friday The 13th movie. Star Trek should be for everyone. QT making it R would be a big slap in the face to the Trekkies. I was excited for that actually. It’s not like they’ve been getting Star Trek right recently. -
New Subdivisions cover: Charlie Benante of Anthrax plus others
chemistry1973 replied to Weatherman's topic in Rush
Jesus almost a train wreck. Did Benante get hurt or something? Why is he playing so heavily with the right hand. There is a flow to the syncopation and he’s doing all this extra work with his right hand. Also the drums sound not too great. -
I love that this thread is so old that the voting only goes to Feedback

I can't remember if this movie addresses those people specifically (i think it does) but if you are interested in the history of bands in the area there is a movie on youtube that talks about JR Flood-"The Big Story of Small Potatoes: Niagara’s Rock Music History 1964-1974" I had it on in the background one day and when it was done I remember thinking, "That's a bit more than I wanted to know  " but it has a lot of good info. If you are following JR Flood you might find it of interest. Here is an article about the filmmaker and movie; it lists his website at the very end. Perhaps he might be a contact to find more information. https://www.brockpress.com/niagaras-music-history-focus-of-a-new-documentary/ That doc was pretty damn good and if you want some other perspectives about Neil Peart and Rush’s fame, then it’s worth your time.

I could hear losing it fine. I’m in Commiefornia though... Try a different browser.

I take it all back— I am into this fully. Holy shit- - The Weapon. More guitar, added bars, more drum-fills. f**k yeah.
-
Ok I’m digging it more that my ears have adjusted. Kind of Signals with a faux Moving Pictures mix. More guitar oriented. I’m liking it a little now.

Analog Kid is all I’ve listened to so far. I appreciate the attempt but it sounds very mid/high. Drums sound awful. Sounds like they’re missing some reverb I’ll check out the other tracks.

So is Naïveté, Innocence and Being a Child not the same thing?!?

Yeah but Kanye and Kim gotta DIVORCE. -
Random Access Memories is pretty killer. Worth a listen (just skip the Pharrell tracks).

Brilliant group.
