  6. QUOTE (evilsugar25 @ Mar 6 2011, 07:04 AM) just want to make sure all you ladies have seen this interview Neil on Pamela Wallin (who goes out of her way to pronounce his name correctly) - a five-parter, and he's absolutely eloquent and adorable: Part I (watch 'em all, though, it's a Neilfest): http://www.youtube.com/user/xxxx15us#p/u/10/HyOBNL1PHus this YT channel belongs to snowdog, he's been posting rare footage like crazy -- he's up to 57 clips, and there's a thread elsewhere on TRF with links. i had no idea Neil was on Politically Incorrect! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3NaP0jNsDvA WOW. Cheers for the links evilsugar25 Like you were saying, I had no idea Neil had been on Poilitically Incorrect either, that was really cool! Man, I'd love to see Neil on Real Time w/Bill Maher, that'd be very interesting to watch. One of the few things I miss about living in the US is HBO and Bill's show. Gonna go and check out the rest of the youtube footage now, wow, what a treat!
  7. There's the 'Rushgirls Rock' FB page too, but that's run by the same lady that started 'I'm a Rushaholic...' they're all kinda connected really.

Call me if you want to talk ok? Love ya Sis x You're awesome! I love ya too! I don't need no steenking husband to give me an excuse to get to Scotland! That's my girl! Get yours and Alex's asses on a plane - pronto! Lil' Lerxst and I shall be looking for airfare. Would you like for me to get in touch with the elder Lerxst to see when he is available for a trip? Yes! I won't have seen him since May so get him to fly you first class. Tell him to bring his Ledderhosen! Ooh, could this be another attendee for the May 14th meet-up? Partaay!
  9. Y'know, I think it's really great that this thread has been so active lately, I really enjoy reading everyone elses thoughts and opinions. So, thanks y'all! I know there's a link somewhere out there to Neil reading an excerpt from one of his books, and I have to say it'd be wonderful if there were audio book versions out there with him narrating. (Although, I certainly wouldn't expect that of GR, I think that'd be a step too far, understandably.)
  10. Yeah there's enough Bubba for the both of us! First and foremost it's the music for me, I respect all 3 of them as musicians and the fact they all seem like really decent guys is a bonus. As you say, with Neil it's a combination of things; first class musician and lyricist, intellect, humility and it helps of course that he's also tall and damn fine lookin'!
  11. My thoughts are with you Jaime, I know it's pretty tough going (my situation is particularly f**ked up lol), you seem like a pretty strong woman and you have the coolest little boy! I really wish you all the best and may it be as straightforward as possible.
  12. QUOTE (Spike @ Mar 3 2011, 01:01 AM) Some nice summer pics on a cold winter day: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v636/mamidmmk/Rush_Misc/Neil/neilrowing2008.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v636/mamidmmk/Rush_Misc/Neil/neil.jpg ...uh...*thud*....
  13. QUOTE (VampireBiscuits @ Feb 28 2011, 01:26 AM) QUOTE (1 of the 7 @ Feb 27 2011, 05:46 PM) You all make me feel better...everyone always aks if my boyfriend, who's 24 years older than I am, is my dad. And it's always been this way...a couple of other guys I dated were 18 years older. Rush is about 20 years older. That must be the age for me! I know how you feel! I've gotten the same thing, people thinking my husband is my dad (he's 20 years older than me). A lot of people think my husband closely resembles Ozzy Osbourne, and once when we were walking together in San Francisco, someone on the street shouted to us, "Look! It's Ozzy and his daughter!" It doesn't bother us though, we both get a kick out of it. Lol, that's uncanny my ex husband is 21 years older than me and for the first couple years we were together he got people shouting "Hey Ozzy!" at him all the time, he got a kick out of it for a while, he had long black hair, the round glasses, would wear lots of black, band t shirts etc and even had Crazy train as his ringtone! But, I remember one time, in safeway, a woman came up to him and said he looked like Geddy lol! I'm the same though, I just never find myself attracted to guys my age or younger (i'm 32), I sometimes think I wish I could meet someone closer to my age who'll end up, when they're older, actually looking like the kind of guy i'm attracted to now! Then at least there wouldn't be such an age difference and I'd still find him hot in later life. (win win situation!)
  14. QUOTE (NobodysHeroine @ Mar 1 2011, 10:31 PM) I don't really mind the handlebar mustache. But it does remind me of a scene from That 70s Show. Kelso: Well, I like the mustache. It makes me look like an authority figure. Hyde: It makes you look like a porn star. Bow chicka wow wow....
  15. QUOTE (usb_connector @ Mar 1 2011, 06:07 PM) The comment I got was from one of the professors concerning the starman emblem. He said something like "I don't think expressing a belief in Satan is appropriate for a university student." Yeah that gets really old doesn't it, i've had people make similar comments online whenever I use the starman as a profile pic somewhere. "All it means is the abstract man against the masses. The red star symbolises any collectivist activity" Infact i'm thinking about having a bunch of leaflets printed with this to hand out to people whenever they say that.
  16. Hi evilsugar25 Yes, this is the best.thread.ever...well that and the original one no doubt the ged gals and lerxst ladies would disagree though Love the wallpaper, tis a beautiful thing
  17. QUOTE (HowItIs @ Feb 25 2011, 08:54 AM) Got the completed version of the Chibi Rush artwork today. I love it!!! You'll note that it's already my avatar. The artist made me a smaller one just for that purpose. Totally worth what I paid her plus I get the satisfaction of helping a starving artist That's excellent! I really like it a lot, unique, well done and very cute! Two thumbs up from me! Is it ok if I save a copy of it?

It appears that Neil is doing a little Geddy thing with the glasses down slightly. I rather love this picture for some reason. me too...it's a little mischievous Oh, yes, it is. Still can't remember where that pic came from (it must have come from his website, surely)...wonder if anyone else can chime in. Anyway. Just wanted to post this and saw awww. QUOTE (Janie @ Feb 16 2011, 03:59 PM) QUOTE (Babycat @ Feb 16 2011, 01:11 AM) QUOTE (Janie @ Feb 16 2011, 02:40 AM) QUOTE (Babycat @ Feb 15 2011, 03:38 PM) QUOTE (Janie @ Feb 15 2011, 08:23 PM) http://i378.photobucket.com/albums/oo228/LifesonPics/Picture2464.jpg Well, poor old Crum. He's taken a turn for the worst. For the past few days he has holed himself away in a cabinet. Aside from his meds, he's had no appetite, is very lethargic but hovers around his water dish. Last night, when we were eating dinner, he came downstairs (the first time in a long while), sat on the chair next to me and just sat there looking up at me. Still happy but obviously sick. He wasn't doing much better this morning and is at the vet's all day today for blood work, x-rays, etc. The last time he was like this, about six months ago, the vet said he probably only has about another six months. Which is where we're at. I'm still hopeful but at the same time, I know he's pretty sick. Poor kitty. I miss that he's not here. How is Crum doing? Have been thinking about him. I just got off the phone with the vet and, surprisingly, he's doing well. His kidney and liver values are high but that's to be expected I guess for the amount of kidney damage he has. They're keeping him overnight and will have the results from all his tests tomorrow morning. Everyone loves him. The vet said she was heading out of the clinic but was going to return tonight before she went to bed to check up on him. Glad he's doing well. I kept thinking: "Please get better, please get better." Crum is such a gorgeous kitty & I just his white whisker..! How old is he, btw? He is only 11. Not too old. I'm so glad we get to bring him home today. I love that one white whisker too! Best wishes for Crum, Janie, I hope he'll be back to himself soon, I can tell he's got a whole lotta personality!
  23. Can't argue with your posts summer_sky, nice one. This was also a fav of mine, seemed all the more poignant after he passed.
