  1. QUOTE (-D-RocK- @ Aug 22 2008, 03:18 PM) QUOTE (fledgehog @ Aug 22 2008, 01:25 PM) even if i haven't at least rinsed my hair for 2 days, it just feels disgusting then i see people who have clearly not washed their hair for at least a week Like dirty stinkin' no good hippies. I gotta agree here. I live in a town with three generations of hippies, and some of them are kinda foul. They look and smell worse than I do after a day's work. I bathe every day and run a brush through mine.

  3. I'm 41, and my hair is mid-back length. Graying quick. I'm not gonna dye it, either. I'm not going to trick anyone into thinking I'm still 21. I got tired of getting continual haircuts 20 years ago. Now it's easy to take care of. Put it in a ponytail and go to work.
  4. Hey, Mister. I'm 5 years old. Can I have a lollipop?
  5. No kidding!!! Then next week its a short week for me Mon-Wed. I get married on friday and disappear for a week. Won't see ya guys for a few...
  6. I just puked onto my dinner plate.
  7. QUOTE (Godeater2112 @ Jul 19 2008, 02:06 PM) Cool! I might get one for my winter ride. What's the MRSP on those little suckers? I think they'e about $40K with the Hemi, less for a 6-cyl coupe. I saw a black one about two weeks ago on my way home. It looks about the same length as the '73 I had, but stockier. I had an electric blue one with a 383. Too bad these cars came out just in time for a gas crisis, kinda like the ones from the '70's.
  8. I'm on my work computer. I hope the damn thing fries like a hotdog on a grill.
  9. The first one was way more fun than a lot of superhero movies to me. My fiancee turned me on to this one recently. I'll probably just grab it on DVD when it comes out.
  10. QUOTE (Cowtothesky @ Jul 8 2008, 07:25 AM) Early 90's cast for me. First cast would be 2nd. Same for me, too. Though I have to agree with Rushian king ultimately and go with SCTV. 12. A back brace! Levi's and a day's stubble.
  13. I'm 41. Most live music here is college punk bands or bluegrass. Getting loadde in town isn't that fun. All my music equipment and beer is here. I'd rather go to a friends place and jam and/or drink beer.
  14. QUOTE (treeduck @ Jun 21 2008, 05:56 PM) Tony Iommi was at the Amir Khan v Michael Gomez fight in Birmingham (UK), right in the front row too. I didn't know he was a boxing fan but it is his home town... Quite some time ago Tony Iommi was pretty involved in martial arts, so I can see him enjoying the fights. ...And yeah, Randy Rhoads was a major force to be reckoned with when I was in high school. My classmates and I had arguments on Van Halen vs. Rhoads, among others. Good fun instead of doing class work.
  15. Tideland disturbed me to the point to where I turned it off. being John Malkovitch I just didn't get.
  16. QUOTE (Puckfiend @ Jun 18 2008, 01:07 PM) QUOTE (ozzy85 @ Jun 18 2008, 10:12 AM)Same here! I heard Ozzy first, then Black Sabbath later. This was in the early '80's, so I actually thought Black Sabbath was a Dio band. It wasn't until someone brought me a copy of Paranoid that I believed Ozzy was in Sabbath! That reminds me of a funny story.. I had Speak of the Devil before I had Master of Reality... We're spending the weekend at my cousin's in Las Vegas. He is into metal too, and I look to see what he's got.. I pop in Master of Reality in the boom box as I'm going to bed after smoking a joint. I flick off the light and hit 'play'. It's pitch black and then the coughing intro started and scared the beejeebus out of me. Well, I remember borrowing a copy of Paranoid and listening for the first time... the ending to War Pigs sped up to a thousand miles and hour and I spun around to swat my tape deck. I thought at first it ate another tape! (DAMN IT! NOT AGAIN!) My copy of Sabotage I played until it fried.
  17. QUOTE (Puckfiend @ Jun 17 2008, 11:35 PM) Since Blizzard of Ozz was the album that got me into hard rock, Sabbath soon followed. Master of Reality is my fav w/ Ozzy and Heaven and Hell w/ Ronnie. Didn't think I'd ever see them live with Ozzy or Dio, but now I've seen them a couple times each thanks to the tours they've done in the last decade. And a couple years ago, I even got to meet Ozzy and Tony. Won a KLOS radio call-in contest for a Black Box CD set, then won the grand prize to meet them and sit in while they did the Rockline Radio show: http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y109/CRSCHKUM6/IMbb/Rockline_2004.jpg http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y109/CRSCHKUM6/IMbb/SG01.jpg Gibson SG signed by Tony Same here! I heard Ozzy first, then Black Sabbath later. This was in the early '80's, so I actually thought Black Sabbath was a Dio band. It wasn't until someone brought me a copy of Paranoid that I believed Ozzy was in Sabbath! BTW, nice axe. SG's are cool.
  18. I find it interesting that Sabotage gets such a high rating from people. It seems to be a fave on the Sabbath site I hang out at. Oddly, it came out during a time of chaos in the band (bad management, trying to put a lid on drug use,) but is such a consistently good album. I've seen Ozzy live a couple of times, but not Black Sabbath. I'm hoping to rectify that with Heaven and Hell. It's basically the Sabbath '82-83 lineup.
  19. So we have a Motorhead thread. Anyone into Sabbath? I like all eras of Sabbath, but I lean a little heavier toward the Ozz-era (probably apparent.) My Holy Trinity of bass players is Geddy Lee, John Paul Jones, and Geezer Butler. Quit getting haircuts 20 years ago and started playing bass due to these guys. Some favorite albums; Black Sabbath Sabotage Technical Ecstasy Mob Rules Eternal Idol Like Rush, this is a band that manages to not have any albums I totally dislike. If this thread has been done before, I apologize. I've been here only a couple of months.
  20. A gentle hand, a secret touch on the pants...
  21. By-Tor! And the Snowpants! Man, I gotta think up some more, but I'm too busy laughing and worrying my co-workers...
  22. Bad Santa Animal House (The food fight scene was VERY influential at our junior high school) Shaun of the Dead
  23. Happy Days, Laverne and Shirley (The Squigtones rock!), Fat Albert, Sonny and Cher, Pink Panther, Dukes of Hazzard (started in '79).
