  1. QUOTE (GernTheFish @ Mar 8 2011, 05:35 PM) Ok, no tickets yet, so I called the bastards at MT. They said they plan to mail out FedEx tickets around 3/18 for the 4/1 show. So I SHOULD get them by 3/21. I feel better, but I won't be completely satisfied until I can physically hold my tickets. Will they actually get here??? Will I be on the phone with MT the day before the show??? Will I have a nervous breakdown????? Try not to panic, they always arrive on time... ...I've used MT for the last two tours.
  2. QUOTE (Nim2 @ Mar 7 2011, 07:47 AM) I have one ticket for sale to Apr. 5 in Louisville but can't find a thread dedicated to ticket sales. Maybe I am not looking well enough but if there is one, please direct me on how to find it. Try the corresponding show in the Time Machine Hot Tub Section of this site. All the best!
  3. Rushchick10, I just wanted to write to let you know that I am so sorry for everything that you are going through. I cannot even begin to imagine the pain you must be experiencing. Just wanted to reach out, give you a big cyber-hug and to let you know that you are in my thoughts and in my prayers. There are so many people here who love and care for you, please don't hesitate to reach out to one of us if need anything. ~Peace and Grace, RGLT
  4. A picture perfect day off with my amazing wife... ...nothing epic, just ran around all day, did some shopping, ran some errands, had some Chinese food for dinner, watched TV, laughing, etc. We were driving and were laughing like mental patients as we tried to name as many Simpsons characters as we could. After 20 years together, spending time with her still means the world to me.
  5. QUOTE (Barry @ Mar 3 2011, 11:45 PM) I got to meet Geddy back in 1988 when he was promoting Hold Your Fire. I was working in a studio where syndicated radio programs were recorded and Ged was in to do an interview with Scott Muni. After the session he signed an album for me and spoke to me for a few minutes. I have never forgotten that day. Last year, I was fortunate to be able to attend the premiere of Beyond the Lighted Stage in NY. I sat in the front row and was like 5 feet away from Geddy and Alex as they spoke before the film (I had a better seat than Sebastian Bach :-). I had really hoped that they would take the opportunity to meet and greet some fans at the premiere but I understand why they didn't. As a fan, I respect their privacy and appreciate that they do all the things that they do for fans (like signing the things that their fans send to them, which is more than most bands do) but lets face it, they don't owe their fans anything...their body of work is their gift to all of us :-)
  6. There always seem to be at least one contest through the Rush Backstage Club http://www.rushbackstage.com/rushbackstage/index.html each tour. Also, through Music Today presale ticket purchases. I believe that someone is selected for each stop who purchase tickets and any other memorbilia offered. And, as posted, through your local rock radio stations. All the best Tapermike ~RGLT
  7. QUOTE (ReflectedLight @ Feb 24 2011, 09:02 PM) moops moops!!!! "What are you looking at? You never seen a kid in a bubble before?"
  8. "That's pie country. They do a lot of baking up there." "They sell them by the side of the road. Blueberry blackberry." "Blackberry boysenberry." "Boysenberry huckleberry." "Huckleberry raspberry." "Raspberry strawberry." "Strawberry cranberry." "Peach."
  9. You think you're better than me...its go time!
  10. QUOTE (32Ford @ Feb 25 2011, 10:02 AM) I actually got calls back from 3 additional venues on this leg of the US tour and they will forward items to the band. Just no guarantee what happens after its forwarded to them. which venues? Many thanks!
  11. QUOTE (TwentyOneTwelve @ Feb 24 2011, 10:30 AM) Bad Reputation - Thin Lizzy Wow...one of my most favourite albums ever. Going to see the current line-up of Thin Lizzy in NYC on 25 March. I've loved this band forever it seems.

  13. QUOTE (garyg7133 @ Jan 12 2011, 01:56 PM) Amen to that. I hate the wait. Every so often I get tix from a broker in NY and they are fedexed next day or messengered to my job. The LN sid seems to drag their feet on the shipping end of it. GaryG, What brokers have you had success with as I am trying to get good seats for Jeff Beck at the Beacon? Many Thanks!
  14. I missed this one in the theaters and then I watched it by chance one night on HBO and thought it was amazing. Must have watched it 5 times everytime HBO re-aired it. Agreed with previous posting, very thought provoking...interesting Hollywood take on faith vs. religion. If you haven't seen this one, you really should check it out.
  15. Here's a picture of the "A Show Of Hands" album that I received. http://s1224.photobucket.com/albums/ee378/...nt=100_2775.jpg Was thrilled that the band takes the time to do this for their fans. ~Cheers
  16. QUOTE (That One Guy @ Feb 19 2011, 06:25 PM) The Rush songs that are frequently in rotation here are: Tom Sawyer Limelight Freewill Spirit Of Radio Subdivisions Closer To The Heart Other songs get played less frequently Yeah, that's pretty much what the classic rock station out of NYC (Q104) plays. Got some great rarities around the time of the last tour though. It is so funny, but you can hear a Rush song a million times and then all of a sudden it is on the radio and you get all excited and turn it up.

Greetings Net Boys and Net Girls, There is a section on an Alice Cooper forum site called, "The Trading Post". It is a place for fans to share not only photos of their collections but also, as the term says, to trade with other fans. From what I can gather, it is strickly limited to trade of memorabilia for memorabilia. It all seems to work out well in a very civil manner. I have tons of Rush related memorabilia that I've collected from 1977 to the present, and am missing just a few pieces that I have been looking for over the years. Great idea and post Rushchick10, many thanks. ~Peace, Love, Rush Stuff RGLT
  18. I started purchasing the porgrams fromt the Rush Backstage Club as well. They come sealed and it perfect condition. They end up being about the same as what you would pay at the venue when you include shipping.
  19. If they are fans of Rush, then I love them all!
