  2. QUOTE (Queen of Megadon @ Mar 30 2011, 01:03 PM) QUOTE (ReGorLaTroy @ Mar 29 2011, 08:44 PM) Queen of Megadon, with her natural sense of kindness and nurturing spirit finds a way to take all the zombies in and care for them as if they were here own. The zombies live in perfect peace and happiness and are sung to sleep each night by Queen of Megadon as she gently plays Rush songs on her acoustic guitar. The neighbours think she's gone a bit mad, but then again, they may have secretly thought that before the zombie's arrival. Next up...Xanadu93 So I am neighborhood "zombie lady", kin to the neighborhood "cat lady" *edited to say, so happy to have survived and be useful* I think the operative theme here was intended to be "natural sense of kindness and nurturing spirit," not crazy cat lady!
  3. Great update...thanks for sharing. I could post this in the what made your day thread.

  5. Many thanks for the head's up jmdyyz...very cool of you to post the news!
  6. ReRushed was/is a hero in all of this. Neglecting his own safety, he "rushed" out to kill as many Zombies as he could with nothing more than his tennis racket that he air guitars Beatles songs to. He is doing an amazing job at slaying the undead with one part Russell Crowe and two parts Arnold Swarzenegger skill...I mean the stuff great movies are made of! Just then, GeminiRising79 says, "All you need is love, my ass!" ReRushed turns to look in the direction of the sacrilegious use of the Mighty Four's lyrics only to find himself in the clutches of an undead. He is bitten on the shoulder and immediately turns into a zombie himself. The New World Women cry in utter disbelief as Metaldad and Tel run to kill all of the descending zombies who are attracted to the potential kill. They pull ReRushed from the Zombie throng and hide him safely away in the garage of the TRF stronghold. They chain him to the wall (much like Ed to his shed in Shaun of the Dead), so he doesn't attack any of the TRFers and feed him a steady diet of Rush and Beatles music to soothe his discomfort...as the New World Women make sure he has plenty of chipmunks to eat, his new favourite delicacy. He could be heard saying, "Mmm, chipmunk, tastes like chicken!" Strangely enough, ReRushed seems to prefer his new life to his old and all of the attention it brought him. In the end, even in his zombified state, he retains the best taste in music. http://webpages.csus.edu/~av289/zombies.PNG Next up...1 of the 7

  8. QUOTE (FOH Lights @ Mar 22 2011, 02:18 PM) However, when you think a little deeper into it, and from the viewpoint of management, it starts to feel a little strange. Is this guy a fan or a stalker with a clever way to get at the object/s of his obsession? Very strange, This is exactly what my wife said to me when I showed her the post. Then issued the warning, if you win M&G you better not. Creepy!
  9. QUOTE (Syrinx @ Mar 22 2011, 12:43 PM) I don't know. I would probably contact their management and tell them you have $3000 for one of their favourite charities if you can get in on the meet and greet at your local venue. This is a fantastc idea...then the money goes to a worthy cause.
  10. Just got tickets for Alice Cooper - 20 August!!! http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_5nCn7d-poJ4/TNFmDlmutjI/AAAAAAAABkc/SYxuaAEllk8/s320/alice-cooper-wallpaper-motive03-1024x768-438x324.jpg

  12. QUOTE (tapermike @ Mar 21 2011, 05:37 AM) QUOTE (Unattractive Truth @ Mar 20 2011, 06:18 PM) You know what? I'm not going to give you a hard time on this. That's how a free market works, right? We all to some extent decide what things/experiences are worth to us. If a meet and greet is worth $3000 to you, then I wish you good luck. My favorite football team went to the superbowl a few years ago. I spent a week straight debating if I should spend the $1800 to go. I did, my team one and it was the best spent money. Had I decided not to go I'd regret it forever. From now I am looking for experiences that are important to me. It is a lot of money but I am one of those people that is happy seeing one show (close up) and not buy T-shirts, programs etc. What are shirts now 60$? Makes sense, if it is that imprtant to you. I wish you the very best Tapermike. ~RGLT PS...which show(s) on the upcoming tour are you planning on?
  13. If Ringo wasn't such a great big beat drummer, believe me, George Martin wouldn't have allowed him behind the kit. The success of The Beatles was no accident...and Ringo was, indeed, a big part of their success.
  14. QUOTE (Todem @ Mar 19 2011, 07:33 PM) That is 1K for every 30 seconds a total of 90 seconds. The actual M&G lasts way less than 90 seconds...closer to 30, if you are fortunate.
  15. Tapermike, From one Rush fan to another. I've had the opportunity to attend a meet and greet. Although I am glad to have had the opportunity, I will say that it is not worth $3000 to do so. It is a rather hurried proposition, with mere seconds (and those here who have attended at M&G can attest to) with Alex and Geddy. It is so quick and impersonal, the photo op is the cool souvenier, but that it about it. I am quite certain that your hard earned money can best be served elsewhere. With much respect and best wishes, RGLT
  16. It was amazing, they had this unbelievable lazer light show and this giant Godzilla that took up the whole stage. I was 15 years old and just blew me away. Of course, from that day throughout High School, "Golden Age of Leather" was a staple at every party. :0 Can't believe that was 1978...man, time flies when you're having fun!
  17. I saw Blue Oyster Cult on the Spectres tour in Syracuse...truly amazing. I've been a fan ever since. http://www.blueoystercult.com/CC/collectibles/tees/06.jpg
  18. Thin Lizzy - 25 March 2011 - Best Buy Theater - New York City!!! http://static.olympiaentertainment.com/images/Events/Spot_ThinLizzy.jpg A new lineup has formed to take LIZZY's music to a whole new generation of music fans. Led by alumni Scott Gorham, Brian Downey and Darren Wharton (all of whom played in THIN LIZZY with Phil Lynott) the stellar lineup is completed by DEF LEPPARD's Vivian Campbell (guitar), bassist Marco Mendoza (WHITESNAKE, TED NUGENT) and THE ALMIGHTY's Ricky Warwick on vocals and guitar.

  20. I lost my sister Patty a couple of Christmas' ago and it is amazing how much it hurts...to say I miss her is an incredible understatement. She was a wonderful person, good friend, loving Mom to her two kids and awesome big sister. Growing up it was as if I didn't have a name, I was simply known as Patty's little brother. A title that I wore as a badge of honour. I know she's rocking out in Heaven to her favourite, Bob Seger. F..k you cancer, indeed. ~Love, hope, strength, RGLT

  23. QUOTE (Good, bad, andrush @ Mar 9 2011, 07:03 PM) Why did you spoil that? Now that I know they're gonna kick my ass I'm not gonna go. Brilliant!
