  1. I'll bet on the big list of "Ways I'll probably die" this did not make the cut.
  2. I saw them at the Boston show. I would've loved to hear more deep cuts (they were supposed to play Brave Faces as the 2nd to last song but some twit in the audience shouted they play Sometimes, which they did instead ARGHH). But I got to hear US Forces live as well as Harrisburg, which is about as deep a cut as you can get this side of Bakerman.
  3. Oh Lorraine, it's not even the best song on Diesel & Dust
  4. My singing is not so great on this but I managed to play the toms and the beat at the same time: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ovcw-h5KOzI
  5. They've been my favorite band since 1993. All Oils is great, but Head Injuries (79) through Species Deceases (85) is amazing stuff. I agree with the post saying they're prog punk. A great example of this would be Profiteers. Their best album is 10-1 from 1982. Really experimental and loaded with tons of energy.
  6. Wow, I can't believe these guys were out for almost 40 years and I've never heard of them before. Absolutely incredible stuff. The drummer and bassist have insane chops, especially for a punk band. I've only heard a few albums so far but I really like Wrong, 0 + 2 = 1, and Worldhead a lot. OH and a power trio from Canada too!
  7. Sorry, my computer doesn't want to cooperate and add the space between #81 and 82 :D

  9. HaaaAAAAAAAAAAANNNNDDddddssss across the water! Water! HaaaaaAAAAAAaannds across the skyyyyyy!
  10. All of Cap's movies are awesome. In contrast as likable as Thor is his movies are very hit or miss. I went into those movies with Cap being one of my least fav heroes. they all changed my tune real quick. Mick Yeah same here, now he's my favorite.

  12. Wow this was super hard to pick, but if I had to choose one I chose the original Iron Man. I went in and expected nothing and the acting and story just really surprised me, it was way better than I thought it was going to be. Plus it started this whole mess! Honorable mentions are practically everything else but I'll say Winter Soldier, Ant Man, and Guardians of the Galaxy.
  13. They’re the two that’d be the closest (points-wise, if there were such a scale)...maybe like an A- and B+ respectively. Empire would certainly be an A+ and A New Hope an A. So maybe like this: Empire: A+ New Hope: A Return: A- Rogue One: B+ Force Awakens: B Last Jedi: B- Revenge: D+ Clones: D Phantom: F dammit!!! You guys must be hardcore Star Wars !! I thoroughly enjoyed Phantom, Attack and Clones. Not nearly on par with the first 3 movies, but definitely not as bad as you guys think. Yes! Also I don't get why people hate Phantom so much more than Clones. Much as enjoy all three prequels, even I'll admit half of Clones is barely watchable because of the "romance" between Anakin and Padme and how terribly the whole thing is performed (and written). Phantom is heartwarming! Solid B- from me at worst. Probably because Portman looks hot battling giant iguanas!
  14. That is, BY FAR, the worst of the tinkering Lucas did to the special editions. It's worse than the entirely new and shitty ending of Jedi, worse than the terrible CGI Jabba getting stepped on by Han... It's totally embarrassing. What were they thinking??!
  15. I liked the movie but basically spent 2 years thinking Luke would come in lightsaber blazing and kicking the shit out of everybody. I gave it a "B" and it's better than all 3 prequels and Rogue One.
  16. A classmate of my daughter's went to Kate Mulgrew's (Red Reznikov !) book signing when she published a biography a few years ago. Grace said Kate was having fun looking at the attendees and guessing why they were a fan- older women, from when she was on Ryan's Hope (70's soap), guys, from when she was Captain Janeway on Star Trek: Voyager, etc. Kate takes one look at Grace in her khaki pants and flannel shirt and Doc Martens and says, "You gotta be Orange Is the New Black!" "Chokotay to the bridge! It's another terrible plot!"
  17. I watch Orange is the New Black and S2 is probably the best. S4 is (by far) they worst. Pu-ssey is the best!
  18. Currently my wife and I are watching Sons of Anarchy, which until this week I've never seen a single episode of. We're only on the 1st season episode 8 but so far it's really good.
  19. Again, you know DSC is in trouble when you're constantly comparing it to Voyager and Voyager wins! :laughing guy:
  20. Honestly though I think the problem some might have with a lot of the synth stuff listening to it now is how dated some of the sounds themselves are. Take a great song like "Red Tide" and remove the cheesy DAH DAH DAH DAH synths out of the beginning and end (after that awesome piano riff) and the song improves tremendously. Even on an excellent song like Territories some of the samples just don't hold up too well anymore.
  21. Nearly all tribute bands won't touch anything before Signals and many of those stop at Moving Pictures. so as a rule I won't bother with them because that's not exactly my idea of a good time.. I think you mean after signals? You raise an interesting point about tribute bands. Their reluctance to play the snyth years says something. Not sure what it is though.... That's it's wicked hard and there's only one Geddy, that's what it says!
