  1. Agree 100% here. Different shirts for different days, same tattoo. Plus no needles in my skin. I almost got a tattoo in college, but was too much of a fraidy cat to do it... glad now!
  2. I've never gone out on a Black Friday, but did end up getting a $35 t-shirt for $8.75 off an Amazon sale. That was pretty cool!
  3. Didn't know he's Canadian... learned something new right there. Also, that cap looks weird- like a construction hard hat pretending to be a baseball cap.
  4. It's amazing how much the rangers have taken the city by storm.. Also amazing how big of a dickhole Hambone turned into. But who cares, there's gonna be a Dallas Rush DVD!
  5. Hahaha don't forget to look for my signs! Yeauh Haha, will do. Don't forget to look for the guy walking around with the awkward boner.
  6. f**k yeah, Dallas!!!!!! The off chance that I could end up as a fleeting image on a Rush DVD makes me chub up a little.
  7. Rented The Princess Bride on that instant stream from Amazon, then was rewarded with a $1 credit for mp3 music from their download store. Thanks, Amazon! And just now- seeing that written out made it seem kinda silly to post. But then it occurred to me that because I've been so cynical and negative and pissy for the last couple years, I wouldn't have noticed this kind of thing. So big time day made- progress!!! Working with kids all day is great... especially when you get to leave them by 4 PM and don't have to worry about all that parenting stuff
  8. I tried to hit the "like" button for this, but it didn't work. Oh well. Anyway, the answer is clearly Pink Eye.
  9. QUOTE (Mr. IsNot @ Oct 20 2012, 09:41 PM) QUOTE (Territorial_Game @ Oct 19 2012, 07:59 PM) Payday here... finally got Afterman: Ascension! I've given it two full spins, plus a couple repeat songs (Domino, Holly Wood, Mothers of Men), and it sounds amazing!!! Can't wait to get deeper into this one and then hear part 2! Good songs. Vic the Butcher is my favorite. Just awesome experimental coheed. Reminds me of Al the Killer. And Goodnight Fair Lady's intro reminds me of the ones from Once Upon Your Dead Body or Mother May I... Or maybe some sort of morbid crossbreed. The only song I'm not feeling is "The Afterman" itself. It's great aside from the chorus. The vocal is so plain that is just disappoints me, I'd love to hear Claudio sing some great high long high notes during that chorus. After a couple more days of listening, I gotta agree about Vic! Man, it's great. I like The Afterman track, but haven't really gotten into Subtraction.

  11. QUOTE (rushgoober @ Oct 19 2012, 07:43 PM) I wasn't looking forward to losing my old fave standby original skin, so at least I get that for a little while longer. Care to give us any hints on what the new board will hold in store for us? 73 called me and said the new skin will have a strong Vapor Trails theme. Get ready goobs!
  12. Rock on buddy! My first Rush show was the August after I graduated high school (07, I'm still a baby too!)- talk about a present! Hope they stick around for a while so you can rock more.
  13. QUOTE (Hatchetaxe&saw @ Oct 11 2012, 03:17 AM) Akron, you really are a conundrum. Sometimes I want to give you a big manly bear hug, and then there are times, like right now, I'd like to torture you with a spoon. This could turn into a much better thread now! How do you torture someone with a spoon?
  14. Came here to post this. Oh god, I was raging so hard during that video.
  15. Call Me Maybe sounds like what I would do if I met Geddy. Yep.

  17. Nope. Gotta save money for music I like.
  18. QUOTE (Thunder Bay Rush @ Oct 6 2012, 06:55 PM) A friend of mine sent me a link to a webiste - www.networth.com. Listed on it are the apparent net worths of many celebrities, including actors, athletes and musicians. And, some dumb ass thieves... 'er, ooops, I mean, politicians. First, I have no idea how anyone could find out about people's private financial affairs and bank balances, but even if these numbers are accurate to within 25%, the amounts of money these young pop stars is making is frightening. If you compare them to some of the most talented and legendary "artists" on the planet, there is something seriously wrong with this picture. This actually makes me want to puke. Here are some examples from that website - starting with some teeny bopper pop stars. These are the PERSONAL net worths of these people, not how much $$ their latest tour grossed, for example. Some of these kids have been in the business for only two or three years and look - Justin Beiber is worth 110 million Miley Cyrus - 120 million Lady Gaga - 150 million Taylor Swift - 80 million Britney Spears - 150 million Bow wow (whoever the F that is?) - 45 million Avril Lavigne - 45 million Carrie Underwood - 45 million Katy Perry - 55 million Now for some people who have been around for a long, long time - and they actually write their own songs... Jon Anderson - 45 million Joni Mitchell 6 million Geddy - 28 million Alex - 28 million Neil - 22 million Alice Cooper - 40 million Tom Petty - 75 million Neil Young - 65 million Carly Simon - 45 million Ian Anderson - 20 million Can you imagine a kid like Justin Beiber, who went from performing cover songs on the internet to headlining 20,000 - 60,000 seaters in less than a year, is worth 110 million? I mean, sure the kid has "some" talent and he's a cute kid, but is he worth that much? Wal-Mart makes more money than specialty stores who sell high-end products to a discerning market. Same concept. Nothing disturbing really, except for the fact that these financial records are accessible.

  20. QUOTE (J2112YYZ @ Sep 27 2012, 09:22 AM) Talking about messing up on stage got me to think of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DOMXdkiGGw4 James and John handled the situation very well. f***ing awesome
  21. Never actually thought about this one before. Hooray goobs for a good poll! Voted for AFTK, but Test for Echo is a pretty cool title too.
  22. Well, if we end up having any part of the NHL season, I got my fantasy team signed up. Time for the Sunnyvale Shithawks to swoop down and put poop onto some people.
