  1. Says the person with the feckin' Galactica in their signature! SHAKA...WHEN THE WALLS FELL!!
  2. LIES!!!!! Please...you forced me to drink those martinis! Then you passed several beers, that you purchased, my way during the second set. I have multiple witnesses for cryin' out loud!!!! YOUR DENIAL IS PATHETIC!!!!
  3. Perhaps they'll play the entirety of their multiple, alternating sets from this tour? Last show and all... Why not? I'd do it if I were to be in their position. Blaze of glory and stuff. One can dream, yes? Neil can drive home after the show and hang up his cleats.
  4. I've always like the song but it was on another level last night. I was wondering if it was just me but it's nice to know others felt the same way. Is that a picture of yourself in your avatar? You look a lot like the guy that had a f***ed up room key (like all of us on the 8th floor) across the hall from me at the hotel. Did you stay at the De Anza last night in San Jose? U.S. Navy ball cap? No I drove home after the show and I have a lot less hair now lol. Understood. I was wearing my vodka goggles last night. (I blame that Unattractive Truth feller.) That being said, the resemblance is uncanny.

  6. No probs at all. They were quite cordial and I'm sure it wasn't an act. The show was straight up, pure rock and roll. I'm feeling like a train rolled over me right now.
  7. Is there a dress code? I'm gonna be super pissed if I become persona non grata due to the loincloth. The show last night in Oakland kicked all sorts of ass. They didn't seem burned out to me at all! Highlights for me: Somebody Get Me a Doctor, Everybody Wants Some, I'll Wait, and Hot For Teacher.
  8. I downloaded S&A when it leaked and enjoyed it. It was the first Rush album that I listened to before the official release date. I'll be holding out this time. I've waited for two years for this album to come out. I can wait for another week.
  9. Yeah....now that I've really taken a closer look at yours, I concur. No offense.

I also have a HYF balloon that I got when it fell from the ceiling back on the 88 tour. Like this one? http://i519.photobucket.com/albums/u351/Discipleoflerxst/100_5831.jpg God, that's it... as horrid as I remember it to be. Had a Van Halen one too. Don't feel bad. I bought one at the Cow Palace. Grace Under Pressure tour. http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa122/Perchance/100_2247.jpg That one is in great shape...puts mine to shame. Even 25 years ago the paint was wearing off. It's in great shape because I never wore it! It's been in one of my closets for the last 28 years!

Well they just played it in the S&A Tour so I don't mind them playing Prime Mover either. That's very cool tune too. Anything can happen! Prime Mover!
  13. It's a spectacle of immense measure! A KISS concert on steroids with brains. Rock and Feckin' Roll!!!!!
  14. Nope. But while I was driving home from work today, I heard Headlong Flight on my local Modern Rock FM station. It rocked mightily.
  15. Without a doubt the most epic production that I have ever witnessed firsthand. The sound was magnificent! Easily the best stadium sound that I've heard. A big thank you to Sean for luring me away from the fortress.
  16. Christ.....I'm gettin' old. The first time I heard Moving Pictures, I was trout fishing at the end of a dock in Kirkland, WA.
  17. There's a little shop that I go to called Meteor Music. 95% of their inventory are vinyl records. Just last week I scored an original pressing of High Tide and Green Grass by The Rolling Stones. I also bought Exit...Stage Left. Mint condition. I was quite pleased to say the least.

That was my skull! My old man is a television repairman, he's got this ultimate set of tools.
  19. QUOTE (Perchance to Dream @ Mar 1 2012, 01:53 PM) June 4, 2011. I'm a rebel. I was closest! Well....the year is a little off, buy ya'll knew what I meant.
  20. Great. The Yuba City Symphony consists of five banjo players and a washboard player. Good times.
  21. Symphony? Please, God......Noooooooooo!

  23. ****MAJOR SPOILER**** Here's a sneak peek of their "Headlong Flight" video: http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa122/Perchance/Metal.gif Lifeson on the left, Lee in the middle, and Peart on the right.
  24. QUOTE (Undemanding Contact @ Apr 6 2012, 11:17 AM) Whatever Rush turn out, it will never be as pitiful as the last offering from AC/DC. It was like they shoved all of their past stuff into a blender, pureed it, and then poured it into moulds before leaving to set - pathetic - I could pretty-much predict a given chord-change even though I had never heard the song in question. They've been doing that since their first album.
  25. QUOTE (Unattractive Truth @ Apr 4 2012, 06:43 AM) QUOTE (Perchance to Dream @ Mar 31 2012, 06:37 PM) I was rifling through a box of my stuff today and came across this item. I haven't seen it in a very long time. I actually forgot that I even had it. It's a painter's cap from the Grace Under Pressure tour. I bought it at the Cow Palace in San Francisco after the concert. http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa122/Perchance/100_2247.jpg "Rush" on the front of the cap and the "p/g" on the top of the cap glow in the dark. Time flies.... Dude, that is awesome. A painter's cap! The 80's sure were something, weren't they....?? At the time, it was all that I could afford. So there!
