  1. QUOTE (tick @ Dec 30 2008, 11:55 AM) QUOTE (GeddyRulz @ Dec 30 2008, 03:43 AM) QUOTE LOL, Keanu is the worst actor alive. It's easy to pre-judge him. Totally agree. I think he's literally the worst actor in America right now. It's bad enough when he's doing his stock "stoner dude" shtick, but when he's given a lead dramatic role... watch out! The guy can't emote convincingly; I think that's his problem there. I suppose it IS possible for an actor you've pre-judged to "go up several levels" with one performance, but that's rare. Stallone impressed the hell out of me with his acting in "Copland," for example. I thought Swayze was amazing in "Ghost" (think of his reaction, early on, when he sees his own dead body), and I once thought Jim Carey was pathetic (all those Ace Ventura type things) until I saw him in "Cable Guy" and a handful of dramatic roles. In my books, Ben Affleck is worse then Keanu. Ben Affleck blows as an actor ! Ben Affleck's the male equivalent of Meryl Streep compared to Keanu. He's so emotionless and...he's just terrible.
  2. My friend told me about the series. I love it!
  3. I also live near one. Goooood times.

  6. QUOTE (theworkingman @ Oct 9 2008, 09:52 PM) QUOTE (ReRushed @ Oct 9 2008, 02:45 PM) Spider Man 3, because it was so horribly bad. Unfortunately, that's probably true! The dialogue was awful.
  7. QUOTE (theworkingman @ Oct 14 2008, 08:30 PM) QUOTE (ReRushed @ Oct 14 2008, 04:24 PM) QUOTE (theworkingman @ Oct 14 2008, 05:49 PM) QUOTE (ReRushed @ Oct 14 2008, 06:03 AM) I just listened to OK Computer. It's not one of the greatest albums of all time. It's the greatest album of the 90's, period. I like Slanted and Enchanted better. And Nevermind. And Automatic for the People. And Odelay. For now, I'll put OK Computer at number five. Well it's certainly the best Radiohead album. IMO Top albums from the 90s for me are... Ok Computer In the Aeroplane Over the Sea Achtung Baby Slanted and Enchanted Automatic for the People Nevermind The Bends Ten The Fragile Siamese Dream Parklife In The Aeroplane Over The Sea is FANTASTIC.
  8. It's a very good movie. Jim Carrey's a genius when it comes to acting/improvisation.
  9. I'm ashamed to say that I've never seen Kubrick's version.
  10. The John Candy Comedy Collection: Uncle Buck, The Great Outdoors and Going Berserk.
  11. Intolerable Cruelty and I Huckabees. Two great movies.
  12. The first half of Full Metal Jacket was excellent. The second half was... Still, I respect Kubrick.
  13. I think this movie looks pretty bad, but that's just my opinion.
  14. QUOTE (Necromancer @ Sep 7 2008, 12:26 PM) OMG!!! Kevin Smith Does It AGAIN!!! well... if you forget about jersey girl anyway... I can't wait to see this. It's got some classic Smith characters in it. I wonder if Jay and Silent Bob will make a cameo. I think he's going to deviate from the View Askewniverse in this film.
  15. QUOTE (Marathonist @ Sep 7 2008, 07:04 PM) Donnie Darko, anyone? "You're such a f***ass."
  16. QUOTE (Xanadu93 @ Sep 7 2008, 04:00 PM) QUOTE (Ancient Ways @ Sep 7 2008, 03:54 PM) The Fifth Element anyone? What about The Breakfast Club? "I bet those were a Christmas gift. You know what I got for Christmas last year, Claire? It was a banner f*ckin' year at the old Bender household! I got a carton of cigarettes! Old man grabbed me and said, 'Hey! Smoke up, Johnny!' I LOVE The Breakfast Club.
