  1. Oh and the endless shameless shots of all the females at the show up front was annoying. Haha yeah we get it women at a Rush show. Stop it and show the band and light show. Thanks.
  2. Geddy's vocals make this almost impossible to listen to. Neil's drums especially in the 2nd half sound like boxes of mud. One Little Victory sounds better than before because he is using a Fender Stratocaster. I saw many better shows this tour than Toronto where Geddy was in top form. This show has bad editing, bad camera angles, and needed some desperate clean up work in the audio department. Geddy should never have allowed this thing out without redoing the vocals in the studio.
  3. For digital? Not talking physical cds.
  4. 21.47 on Amazon. That's with tax included. It's 2015. People give digital albums away for free, sell for .99 cents, 1.99, 5.00, or 10 bucks. Rush is clueless charging this much for the digital version when it has been streaming on Rhapsody since midnight day of release and on torrent sites. I know they want to make money but streaming kills sales unless sales are reasonable or competitive. Plus they released this stuff to coincide with Christmas shopping. I am surprised at the lack of fanfare they have surrounding this thing. No commercials, nothing in theaters, no videos on vh1 classic, no edited version of concert on vh1 classic or palladia. It's like they are intentionally drowning this thing.
  5. I hope the Forum show was the final tour show. They are entering R-42 territory in 6 weeks. I for one am absolutely fine with Rush remaining a studio band giving us a new record every year and experimenting with everything from guest vocalists to guest artists. We got 3 studio Records and an EP of covers between 1997 to 2015. Give me 10 more record's over 1 more tour with Geddy struggling to sing anything, Neil in awful pain, and Alex getting worse arthritis. Of course the tour was too short. They should have played Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Miami,Orlando, and hit states they never went to before like Maine, Alaska, Hawaii, and states they haven't been to in decades like North and South Dakota, Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, Rhode Island,Idaho etc... Yes, they should have announced a UK/Europe leg for the Fall and said that yes this will be our final trip to the UK and Europe. Say a proper farewell. Then do the exact same thing in Brazil, Chile, Peru, Argentina, and Mexico. They could have easily added those huge stadium shows and said that international touring is over for good and we thank you for 41 years of support. Yes, they could have done the same with Asia and gone and played 10 shows in Japan. Japan got a total of 3 shows in 41 years and it was on 1 tour in 1984. Say a proper farewell at the very least outside of the comforts of the U.S. and Canada. All in all had they done 10 shows in the U.K., Scotland, Ireland and then take a week off to rest and then 10 shows in Europe then take 2 weeks off go do South America and Mexico they would have pleased millions who couldn't afford trips to Canada or America. Hit Alaska a month later for 2 shows, Hawaii for 2 shows on the way to Japan and Asia. Take 2 weeks off and finish in the states and cities you skipped the first go around with 16 shows max. I doubt ANYONE would be complaining right now that they missed then had they mapped it out that way after the initial 34 shows were done. They still would have had many weeks off to rest and recharge. The only solution to unresolved business is to announce a final international tour and stay as a recording act doing residency stays on either coast and in Canada twice a year. That's for those who still need to see Rush live. I have been seeing them since 1984. I saw 3 shows on R-40. Saw each set list. I am content. A blu ray will be in my hands Friday. I am good with that and youtube shows from the entire tour. What I really want is new music and BAD. I grew up spoiled as a kid with a new album every year and that live album always to look forward to. R40 is now their 11th live record. That means they have as many live albums as they do studio Records up to Power Windows. Neil's tragedies prevented probably 3 records from being made. I don't want the guy to be in pain, away from his little girl Olivia, his wife, his friends, and his own life. The time he has spent in arenas and going city to city is mind boggling. He is turning 64? He can't play like he did in 1982. Not even close. But, Rush proved with Clockwork Angels that they CAN still write relevant exciting music. So since they don't want to ever use the retirement word, then I hope I hear in late January that they have begun writing a new album that winds up being a double album. A double album we have never gotten from them except live stuff. Geddy and Alex both have studios at home. They can literally write an album without Neil. Send him the music in files to Los Angeles and work long diatance. Then join up in Los Angeles to record it all properly or he just goes to Toronto. Imagine Rush giving us a new album every year again? Count me in on that. Seeing Tom Sawyer, Spirit of Radio, 2112, and Working Man Again for the millionth time? No thanks.
  6. I can not stand Michael Moore. The fact that there is a continuing relationship between Rush and him is beyond nauseating.
  7. Not sure if that link worked right. http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=301799017065&alt=web
  8. No. But I'm always very paranoid about which posters are legit I would LOVE to see a photo of the Marillion/Rush poster. I'd have paid big bucks for that one myself since I was there.. Didn't know it existed. I'm somewhat of a poster junkie. I really have to like the poster or it has to have some sort of significance for me. There are a lot of rare (but ugly) posters out there and a lot of reprints. Definitely a minefield I don't venture into very often. unless I'm pretty much 100 percent sure. I will definitely get you a picture of the Marillion and Rush one. It has the cover of Power Windows on it with the Misplaced Childhood boy standing outside the window and the name Marillion on one of the TV sets. On the bottom has box office and Ticketron info Brendan Byrne Arena March 31 & April 1, 1986 SOLD OUT. It has the St. Pauli Girl logo on the bottom of it. I picked that up at an old record fair at a mall I used to live near that they would have every month on a Saturday. I paid about 100.00 for it back in 1994 which was a lot of money back then. Then i found one again on ebay many years later and paid 250.00. Have that rolled up still. I might sell it to you if you like the photo of it and are interested.
  9. I spoke with the seller finally tonight, he is a music and sports archivist since the 70s and has 2 storage units of items he is now selling off. He said he put the price of it because it's never shown up anywhere else but has the make offer option on there so it seems like he is being reasonable. Offered bulk price on multiple items he has listed. The story I got was he obtained these in an estate sale from an executive many years ago who worked for the promoter Fantasma and there were literally thousands of tubes from various artists and events that they did. Some were too yellowed out, some were bent which left creases in them. Others were in flawless condition. He has seen Rush dozens of times since the 70s. He says he has other Rush Fantasma posters and Rush related Concert items that he will be putting up over time. He still works in the industry in venue promotional and media relations and obtains cool stuff. He obtained an R40 lot from the Newark show for the Prudential Center that a few were used for the lobby and business offices. That one is here: http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=301799017065&alt=web I'm going to pick this up and likely the Seger one. I look at it this way I paid a fortune on the Andrew MacNaughtan photos and autographs both on his site and ebay and like those I don't expect to suddenly see 50 or 200 new ones show up. I love the mystique and memories of Rush and if they aren't touring any longer then things like this I can justify. Speaking of which not to change the subject but what is the most you have ever spent on Rush memorabilia? I think I have bought every autographed item through backstage and Andrew's page. The tour books leather bound one signed by all 3 was a pretty penny.
  10. I think Rush was the opener here if listed as special guest. Seger was huge in 77. Still is to this day. I just was unaware that Rush did a string of dates with them. Looks like Rush became headliners on their own a few weeks later.
  11. Actually The Forum one is selling $700 now. http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=262134355217&alt=web
  12. For those saying they wouldn't pay the cents for it obviously know nothing about the concert poster market. There is a limited edition R40 one for The Forum that I have seen sell for 500.00
  13. Can anyone identify what tour this Poster is for? It says only 5 were printed back in the 70s and 3 are left known in existence. I see one sold a few days ago leaving 2 available and I am interested but to be honest I didn't even know Rush played with Bob Seger And The Silver Bullet Band? I have collected some Rare show posters even paying 750.00 for a rare 1986 Power Windows one for the Meadowlands with Marillion. I am just curious if anyone has any info about this show? Did this really happen and if so how come we never hear about a Seger/Rush tour more often? http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=301781144285&alt=web
  14. This is the lowest tweeted and scoped show this tour so far.
  15. Man nothing worse than someone scoping 1 song and using half of it to show them making faces and the crowd.
  16. Oh knock it off. He should go way lower in range or just sing other songs. It sounds terrible. Sure there are plenty of bright spots in the show but this is a mess.
  17. If this sounds good to your ears then you should get your hearing checked.
  18. Yep. The early 70s stuff is really taking a toll on him. He has nothing left in the tank tonight. Thank goodness for the 8 day break for him. Although, I think he needs 2-3 weeks at this point as they went from rehearsals to tour so he has been going non-stop.
  19. It's official. Ged's voice needs weeks off. This encore is proving just how bad of shape he is in vocals wise. The roar part in Anthem and all of Lakeside just brutal.
  20. His voice is terrible tonight especially in the encore. Holy cow Anthem and Lakeside were terrible.
  21. Me and Sarah Jane is in my top 5 Genesis songs of all time. I would love to see No Reply At All, Anything She Does, Fading Lights, Keep It Dark, Paperlate, Who Dunnit?, and ABACAB in a Genesis set if it ever happens again.
  22. On a previous thread I was discussing momentum and shifting things in the first set. I know this is not going to happen but the flow seems off for me in the first set and uneven with the second. I feel the abundance of 3 CA songs off the bat is too much and should be limited to 1 a night and alternate. I put together a list if you kept a core of the show in tact I can see this making people happy with more spots alternating nightly with some more familiar songs and definitely adding more to the guessing game nightly. I appreciate the A.B.C. set's but the first set especially needs work. I saw 3 shows this tour and felt like everyone couldn't wait to get to the P/G part of the show to get loose or Roll The Bones and explode for set 2. The World Is...The World Is... Headlong Flight/Carnies/Anarchist alternate Far Cry/Good News First alternate Malignant Narcissism Earthshine/Freeze/One Little Victory alternate Test For Echo Cold Fire/Double Agent/Animate alternate Roll The Bones Show Don't Tell/Chain Lightning alternate Time Stand Still/Big Money alternate Distant Early Warning/Between The Wheels/Kid Gloves alternate Losing It/New World Man alternate Subdivisions No Country For Old Hen's Tom Sawyer Red Barchetta/Limelight/YYZ/The Camera Eye alternate The Spirit of Radio Natural Science/Entre Nous alternate Jacob's Ladder Prelude/La Villa Strangiato alternate Cygnus X-1 Drum Solo Cygnus Voyage Closer To The Heart (with jam) Xanadu 2112 Mel's Lakeside Park/Passage To Bangkok alternate Anthem/Beneath, Between, and Behind alternate What You're Doing/In The Mood/Before and After alternate Working Man Exit Stage Left...
  23. I love all of the basses he is bringing out but can't fathom why no Wal bass or Steinberger? I hate to bitch about this but Roll The Bones would have sounded excellent on the Wal and DEW on that Berger. Wish he would have brought them along.
  24. Every person I know in Florida who went to the show (about a dozen), all checked in with me via text with pics and comments and I saw at least 8 scopes myself tonight and the sections and parts of the crowd they were in were all subdued and polite claps at endings of songs and nary a vocal reaction. At least 4 different people sitting with family and friends from the floor to the middle decks saw people around them talking about the Lightning or watching the game on their tablets or cell phones while their friends recorded the show on their phones. They also saw people leaving to the lobby to go watch the game on TV's that were showing it in the arena during the first set. When Jacob's Ladder came on a bunch of people texted me at the same time and said people were actually leaving for beer and checking the score because the run of hits were over. For a holiday weekend New Orleans and Tampa came off unexpectedly dead in a lot of parts of the show but mostly in the first half.
