  2. QUOTE (Test4VitalSigns @ Apr 5 2009, 06:24 PM) I am a huge fan of these movies as well. Though I have to say I'm not too keen on Pineapple Express Some good moments but overall didn't grab me like the others. Last night I watched another flick that fits this group and thought it was hilarious! Sex Drive. Though it had all the usual cliches of these types of movies I was laughing big time. Aw, Test, I laughed my butt off at that movie. To each his own I guess. At the very least, its worth the buck to the redbox.
  3. QUOTE (rushgoober @ Apr 5 2009, 06:22 PM) QUOTE (Snowdog @ Apr 5 2009, 03:20 PM) I'd agree. But I do think we are dangerously close to Seth Rogen overkill. He has ANOTHER movie coming out, "Observe & Report" which I of course will be going to see The guy is hilarious. Oh, and Goob, in your list of comedies you forgot one of my current faves: Pineapple Express. I know, I missed it when it came out! I must rent. Yes, you must. James Franco is outstanding as Seth Rogen's pot dealer! I love seeing the cast of Freaks & Geeks (a great show that never got the chance it deserved) doing well.

  5. Can't explain the pepperoni, but I sure do laugh my butt off at the TPB. I've seen the Alex episode and the movie and am working my way through season 7. This show is funny! The only thing is, I've got to make sure the kiddies aren't around
  6. took the mrs. to see this one last weekend. the concept intrigued me and I was looking forward to it. But about 1/2 way through I found myself looking at my watch. The special effects were fantastic in spots, but at the end I was thinking I'd have enjoyed it more watching it on dvd. That way I would have only spent a buck from the redbox and not laid out the 40 bucks for tix, popcorn, drinks, etc. It just wasn't good enough to justify the cost.
  7. QUOTE (Jack Aubrey @ Mar 26 2009, 09:38 AM) Wow! This brings back memories. This was pretty much my favorite book when I was a little kid. Quicktime software is required to view this trailer. 'Where the Wild Things Are'. Looks like it was very well done! Gotta see this one. Loved the book too.
  8. QUOTE (Cygnus @ Mar 16 2009, 08:40 AM) Say Hello to Hayden Gabriel http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v703/RushForum/ultra1.jpg Congrats!!! You'll be a great Grandpa!
  9. I'll be out tonight, but the Tivo is set to go I look forward to this show every week. Its become a fave.
  10. QUOTE (Prince Sphinc-Tor @ Mar 5 2009, 04:36 PM) QUOTE (The Owl @ Mar 5 2009, 01:33 PM) La Fleur was great..... This whole season has been great I agree. There was a time when after an episode finished I'd say, "I can't wait for next week"!!!! I kinda stopped saying that a while ago, but I have said it after every episode this season. So far it's GREAT!!!!! I agree with you guys. I have never stopped watching, but season 2 & 3 kind of left me wanting more of what I saw in the first season. I never had that "I can't wait 'til next week" feeling during seasons 2 or 3. But season 4 and this season have grabbed me again. I now look forward to each and every episode.
  11. Count me as a big fan! This show gets Tivo'd every week and I love it. I agree that Sheldon is one of the funniest characters I've seen in a while. He cracks me up Chuck Lorre is comedy gold.
  12. QUOTE (lerxt1990 @ Feb 23 2009, 07:40 PM) By the way, apply the above statement to 90% of SNL regulars over the last 10 years. At the risk of derailing the thread, I have to ask lerxt1990, surely you are not including the hilarious Horatio Sanz in the 90% are you? Back on topic, Fallon will bomb. He isn't funny.
  13. QUOTE (Ya_Big_Tree @ Feb 17 2009, 04:06 PM) QUOTE (mortkort @ Feb 17 2009, 01:52 PM) so anyone watched season 3? just finished it myself, cant wait for season 4. its kinda weird, i remember watching it right after the first season started, almost 2 and a half years ago, doesnt feel that long ago. Ya Season finished a few months ago. Im so jonesing for season 4!!!!!!!!!! Me too. Season 3 was the best yet! I watched the first 2 seasons on dvd just before season 3 started and now I am completely hooked. Its my new favorite show.
  14. Saw this last night. Good flick. Clint is excellent.

  17. QUOTE (PuppetKing2112 @ Mar 30 2008, 12:44 PM) I'm disappointed, when I saw this thread I thought you were talking about Randy Jackson the Idol judge. Me too!
  18. For smooth jazz, anything by Acoustic Alchemy.
  19. Just saw the official trailer. Ledger's death aside, his performance in this trailer is incredible. I can't wait for this one.
  20. QUOTE (Rushman14 @ Mar 14 2008, 12:33 PM) so after last night episode I have lots of questions. oh so many questions... Me too. This season seems to be better than last, though. Too bad it will be short.
  21. I'm hesitant about this one. First one wasn't so good.
  22. QUOTE (anagramking @ Mar 11 2008, 10:35 PM) QUOTE (Snowdog @ Mar 11 2008, 12:05 PM) Maybe someday people will get the message. I've all but stopped going to the movies because I get too aggravated with phones, talking, babies crying, etc. You might be interested in trying the Muvico experience if there is one in your area. It's a bit expensive, but I'd do it for movies I really want to see in the theater. No screaming kids, because you have to be 21 to sit in that section. I think most of the seats are loveseats. The food is a cut above standard concession fare, and they also have a restaurant that adjoins the theater. You can bring the food in from the restaurant, but you can't have them bring it to you in the theater. You sit in the balcony of a big theater with a huge screen. As for the cell phone problem, I think no matter where we go, we are going to run into it. Theaters, restaurants, in traffic, it just never goes away. Thanks AK. I'll look into it.

  24. QUOTE (GhostGirl @ Mar 11 2008, 04:23 PM) QUOTE (Huck @ Mar 11 2008, 02:22 PM) QUOTE (GhostGirl @ Mar 11 2008, 08:16 PM) One of Skynyrd's greatest claims to fame? They can say they're from the same state as GG. Florida? Sweet home Jacksonville D'oh. I thought they were from here. Oh well. Sorry GG, but I can't go a day around here without some reminder that this is home to Skynyrd. Ronnie was buried about 5 miles from my house until they moved his grave to an undisclosed location thanks to vandals. Oh, and at the Jaguar games, they always play "Sweet Home Alabama" over the stadiums PA and the crowd goes absolutely wild. Hmmmm, people in Florida going crazy over their hometown band proclaiming Alabama as their "Sweet Home." Maybe this is just a dumb hick town after all
