  1. The tagline says it all. It IS the ultimate car chase movie. I love the hitchhiker scene: "I bet you think we're QUEERS, don't you!"

QUOTE (Digital Man @ Mar 1 2010, 03:46 PM) QUOTE (GeddyRulz @ Mar 1 2010, 03:27 PM) QUOTE (Digital Man @ Mar 1 2010, 12:03 PM) QUOTE (GeddyRulz @ Mar 1 2010, 11:48 AM) QUOTE (Digital Man @ Mar 1 2010, 10:21 AM) QUOTE (GeddyRulz @ Feb 24 2010, 09:16 PM) My guess is no. There's a "surprise ending" to the book, which will no longer be a surprise to the filmgoer who's already read it. (And I wasn't even "surprised" when I read it; I saw it coming.) Thanks for semi-spoiling the ending for everyone who hasn't read the book or seen the movie yet. How is saying there's a surprise ending "spoiling" the ending???? It's not like I've told you what that "surprise" is. Hell, I haven't discussed the plot at all. The ending won't be a surprise now. We'll be expecting the plot twist, we know it isn't going to end the way it seems like it should while watching. Wow, I guess you're right. I've totally ruined the ending for everyone. Did you know there's also a surprise ending to most episodes of "The Twilight Zone" and to every M. Night Shyamalan movie? Did knowing there'd be a "surprise ending" stop you from watching? Do you always go to movies expecting only the predictable??? Of course I don't always expect the predictable. Although most stories do progress in a linear fashion and have a somewhat predictable outcome. Knowing that there is a surprise ending I will watch the movie differently. I'll look for the subtleties that may give a clue to the ending and possibly miss parts of the movie. I go to movies to see how the story will progress and knowing something about the ending takes some of the fun out of it. You're probably the guy who says, Oh I love this next part watch what happens to this guy.... Using the Twilight Zone as an example is lame, the show was setup that way. It is was supposed to have a twist at the end, it was "predictable" in that manner. Why don't you bitch about it? Christ's sake, it's only a movie, and a mediocre one at that. It's not that big of a deal.
  5. Great scene from an awesome movie.
  6. SPOILERS (kinda) One word: Cliche. The ending was just so....been done before a million times. that being said, it was a very interesting film. I just expected more from ol' Scorsese
  7. You know, I really enjoyed "Avatar," until it dawned on me that despite huge technological advances, such as interstellar travel and human/alien DNA splicing, the wheelchair is still the primary means of conveyance for crippled people. That's bullshit.
  8. QUOTE (Jack Aubrey @ Feb 15 2010, 12:31 PM) QUOTE (GeddyRulz @ Feb 15 2010, 05:56 AM) Was that the movie with Melissa Sue Anderson from Little House on the Prairie? Happy birthday, dude. You could've waited a little longer; I'm sure someone would've started a thread for you. QUOTE Was that the movie with Melissa Sue Anderson from Little House on the Prairie? Did you have a thing for her when she was young, too? QUOTE You could've waited a little longer; I'm sure someone would've started a thread for you. Everybody got that? We're not allowed to start our own birthday threads because it upsets GR and he will give you sh*t for it if you do! Aww, c'mon, dude. let it die. Jack, it's hard to have the utmost respect for someone who I only know through text, but I have a ton of it for you. I think you're easily one of the coolest guys here on TRF and a total badass, but I also think you need to leave GR alone on this one. He said some stupid shit and acted like a weirdo about it, but I think he's paid his dues. He's been harassed about it to know end.At this point it's just exploitation for the sake of being mean. You're above that, man. Time to let the Gomez thing die. Can't we all just...get along?
  9. QUOTE (GeddyRulz @ Feb 12 2010, 04:56 PM) Again, technically not "zombies," but... THE OMEGA MAN. The original Heston version. http://ochentosos.files.wordpress.com/2007/11/omega.jpg This is the greatest movie ever made. Ever.
  10. QUOTE (Xanadu93 @ Feb 13 2010, 10:35 PM) All I know about this movie is that the soundtrack is basically all Fueled By Ramen bands. Well there's your problem.
  11. US Army 82nd Airborne Infantry. Can't wait to actually start doing my job!
  12. Bahahaha! This happened in my hometown! I wake up, go outside and grab the local paper. What's on the front page? Andy Dick in custody in Huntington jail. I pissed myself. We haven't had this much publicity since "We Are Marshall" was being filmed.
  13. QUOTE (Godeater2112 @ Jan 16 2010, 12:46 PM) QUOTE (Your_Lion @ Jan 16 2010, 12:42 PM) awesome guitar duel between Ralph Macchio and Steve Vai at the end As a young kid an aspiring guitarist I cannot tell you how many times I watched that scene. Absolutely epic! I like the alternate ending better:
  14. Pretty good programming. I enjoy watching MMA, so that's good, but that host is such a f***ing mecha douche-bag.
  15. QUOTE (GeddyRulz @ Jan 13 2010, 09:26 AM) Liam Neeson is in this? Liam Neeson??? I thought he was a respectable actor. He is a respectable actor, and that's why this movie is going to kick ass.
  16. Just got around to watching this ass-kicker of a masterpiece. What a phenomenal movie. I loved it from the title card to the end credits. It just goes to show that badassery doesn't fade with age.
  17. This looks tight. As a huge fan of the show and of Liam Neeson, I gotta say, I've got faith in this one.
  18. The movie is great! Kinda long, but extremely pretty to look at. Plus, James Cameron always manages to make the most awesomely badass Space Marines.
  19. QUOTE (Jack Aubrey @ Dec 17 2009, 10:06 AM) Super freakin' cool! It's nice to see this as opposed to that crappy-quality YouTube bootleg! 'Iron Man 2'! Well at the the time I posted that, it's all that existed!
  20. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mi6YhUkNtCc Bootleg trailer. Enjoy it while you can,
  21. Clint is the man. It's a shame he never paired up with Charlton Heston. Can you imagine a more awesome duo?
  22. Mother f*cker. That's all I have to say.
  23. Looks pretty cool. Reminds me of the Fallout games kinda.
