  1. Did you not see my thread in the Rush forum? Don't look at it now though........some idiot posted spoilers in there......I'd say slightly disappointed if it's true...
  2. I actually don't like the encore....seems like they just played Working Man in the encore recently.....and I'm all La Villa'd out. I think they have played both these songs on 11 different tours or something. Even In The Mood would be better than Working Man IMO.
  3. QUOTE (shaun3701 @ Jun 28 2010, 05:04 PM) if you're going to get all pissed off about spoilers, maybe it's best you just avoid the internet altogether. Leaks always happen, whether intentional or not. I thought you didn't believe the set list? So it's not a leak......right? And I specifically said do not list song titles.........always has to be a bad apple....
  4. QUOTE (Solitudeix @ Jun 28 2010, 04:45 PM) The thing is that there is no true spoiler until we actually know. Do we know this to be true? I dont. Like I said........how reliable is RIAB on their info?................Anybody...............Bueller???
  5. QUOTE (Presto-digitation @ Jun 28 2010, 04:19 PM) QUOTE (nick1931 @ Jun 28 2010, 04:04 PM) if it's the one at RIAB, I say I'm a level 5 I have nothing against any of the songs but, for live selections, they could have done better SNA brought out some kick ass stuff .... entre nous, circumstances, bankok., digital man - thise were really exciting to see ! They could have dug deeper for a couple of tunes or brought back a couple of the 4 rare gems form SNA tour I mentioned above i was really hoping the Jacob's ladder rumors were true nothing from GUP? I see LVS is back but, will it be a teaser abbrevieted version or another goofy rant? I wish I wasn't this lukewarm about the lisyt IF Analog KId is back that would be GREAT I should just be happy to be seeing a great band - So much for NO SPOILERS, eh? I should have known some idiot with 5 posts would jump in here and start naming off songs left and right......jeez!!!!!! So now I had to go and look:( If this set list is true I'm not too happy. There are a couple nice surprises in there but nothing from GUP? Totally dislike the encore. Working Man and Lavilla. They just did both of those recently. No way is this set list true. If it is they should have never called it Time Machine tour. I've been psyched for Jacobs Ladder for years now........ugh! How reliable is RIAB usually in their info?
  6. QUOTE (metaldad @ Jun 28 2010, 03:34 PM) - 6 Is that a minus six or a plus six? If I remember right metaldad likes the older stuff? I would think they would be playing plenty of older stuff on this tour. This thread is like treading on thin ice because I want to know but I don't want to know. One things for sure no matter what the sets are they can't please everybody.
  7. QUOTE (GeddyRulz @ Jun 28 2010, 03:32 PM) I hope it's not a "spoiler" to mention they're playing Moving Pictures all the way through. That alone gives the show at least an 8. That is cool but that doesn't get me ultra excited. I've heard most of those songs live a gazillion times. Camera Eye will be cool. Hope they keep the full guitar solo in it and don't shorten it.
  8. I'm avoiding as much of the set list as I can this year so please don't mention any song titles in this thread. I'm just curious if the rumored rehearsal set turns out to be true how would you rate it from 1-10. And what is your excitement level? PLEASE NO SPOILERS...........until I break down and look myself:)
  9. QUOTE (Supersyl @ Jun 27 2010, 08:15 PM) what is RTF?? Link please Rush Tour Forum........ Neil's new kit SPOILER
  10. I don't believe it for a second but I'll let you decide for yourself: Never before has any drummer had a set created that will "change" as he plays, meaning when it is called for the "electronic" set will drop down, and up will come the tubular bells and so on. Get ready to see something you have never seen before p.s. I have seen the new drums and the stage and the light set-up etc..I will leak nothing because it wouldn't be right...I got lucky and was at the right place at the right time...it is all spectacular!! and tis!!!! Is Neil getting experimental and frisky:) I call Bull****. I don't believe it for a second, but that would be super badass if that happens Believe it - this set does some awesome stuff! And yes, "bad ass" is a very appropriate description! Let me guess...............you have "inside" sources.......LOL! Hey, we don't need to start this again From what FOH has said before, he's been right. On Tuesday, all will be revealed. After reading a lot of FOH Lights posts he does seem pretty knowledgeable. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt for now. But if he's wrong I'll let him have it:) Does he work for Rush or something? This tour just might be bad ass. LOL!! Sorry if I offended FOH. If you are wrong about this you lose your credibility. I thought Neil wrote in Roadshow that he would never bring all that bulky percussion back out when he can have it on pads? Maybe he's had a change of heart?

  13. If that's true the only thing I don't like is the 4-5 SnA songs. I was hoping for only 2 or so. Why would they play that many when it's a Time Machine tour? I want stuff they haven't played in a long time. And the more the better.
  14. Me like it too. It shows up on my Rush compilation CD's sometimes. One of my favs from Bones. Nothing beats Dreamline though. I still want them to keep Dreamline in the set even though I've heard it a million times live:)
  15. Just dawned on me. Listen to the guitar part in Caravan starting at exactly 4:00. Sounds really similar to the guitar in Malnar:)
  16. QUOTE (Xanadu93 @ May 31 2010, 11:02 PM) That breakdown in "Caravan"... 73, you've been talking about those big breakdowns recently, and how there hasn't been one for years. I swear, the band has been reading TRF! I posted that same thing earlier. Or maybe Nick has:)
  17. QUOTE (GeddyLeefan2112 @ May 31 2010, 10:59 PM) QUOTE (1-0-0-1-0-0-1 @ May 31 2010, 10:58 PM) Just heard "Caravan" for the first time. Two words: F*ck yes. Onto "BYOB" now. lawl BYOB.... Bring your own beer to this listening party:)
  18. QUOTE (kbomb106 @ Apr 22 2010, 08:53 PM) QUOTE (Mara @ Apr 22 2010, 08:58 PM) Not Rush, but my tenth-grade English teacher listened to the Police: "We are spirits In the material world" and she heard: "Oscar Lee You ate all my cereal" Since we're on the topic of misheard Police lyrics, the other day, Canary in a Coalmine came on the radio, and my gf asked if they said "Put Larry in a Coma." Listen to it. She has a point. TOO FUNNY. Zenyatta Mondatta is my fav Police record. Time to wake Larry up. LMAO!
  19. I think they have made an Indy stop on every tour they have ever done. And Indy always gets great crowds. And I'm pretty sure there are holes in their schedule around the St. Louis date and Verizon center here also has a lot of holes I believe. Are they adding any more dates this summer?
  20. Not gonna happen. He's gotten to used to his current set up. Just like going back to 2 bass drums. Not gonna happen.
  21. These replys have just gotten stupid now. Probably because nothing comes close to beating the bank of arcade games. Would be cool to have whoever is coming out to play them dress up as a different 80's celebrity each show.
  22. No doubt about it and if he uses this idea I want commission. Old school 80's video game machines with Mics at the bottom. Pac Man, Dig Dug, Donkey Kong, Asteroids etc.... Every so often someone comes out with a quarter....well you know the routine. That would be so cool to have a mini arcade right behind Ged.
  23. Was it drug fueled?...... Does a bear shit in the woods?
  24. Um lets see, would I rather eat bologna or steak? Tough choice.
  25. QUOTE (MasterEggCream @ Apr 13 2007, 11:40 AM) QUOTE (Gedneil Alpeart @ Apr 13 2007, 11:17 AM) From his impressions: * lots of acoustic guitar * diverse range of styles * very strong and melodic choruses * brief but powerful Alex solos (real solos) * TMMB is awesome but not as concentrated as MalNar * Great singing * Crisp production * Sounds to me like powerful lyrics No problem with the new thread. But man, you're one intense dude! Wouldn't want to be in front of you on line come May 1! (Not that I think anyone's capable of beating you to your local record store.) Just wanted to clarify that this is just one guy's opinion. You might hear "TMMB" and think I'm full of horse biddy -- and you might be right! One last note: It was very interesting listening to these lyrics after having read Nei's books, in particular his most recent. It gave me an appreciation, a fuller understanding of the words, having read his thoughts on many of the topics he addresses on the album. A very cool added experience. MEC But the question is... where does this rank in the whole scheme? Would you say best record since Moving Pictures? Or do you still need time to grasp it?
