  1. As we hear more of the stories of the survivors and see interviews with those that are conscious it's just heartbreaking. The woman who lost her 6 year old daughter was shot in the back and in the stomach and she was in and out of consciousness the first few days. They finally told her that her daughter had died yesterday and she said she wanted to die too. She is now paralyzed. and pregnant, and thankfully the baby survived despite her being shot in the stomach. There are such tales of heroics of people shielding others and losing their lives while doing so. So devastating, what this monster did.
  2. QUOTE (J2112YYZ @ Jul 24 2012, 06:31 AM) QUOTE (Union 5-3992 @ Jul 23 2012, 09:58 PM) I have an odd feeling that Walter may end up killing Skylar. He cares much more about himself now than he did at the beginning of the series. He seems to endanger his family a lot more now than when he started. His slow evolution into wickedness doesn't seem like it will hold him back. But Skylar has to do something like try to go to the police. I'm not sure if Skylar will do anything. Did you see the look on her face in the last scene? She's scared to death of Walt now and going to the cops with what she knows will put her life at risk, if it isn't already. Very good episode and it was nice to see the character developement with Mike. Walt's descent into the darkside has been one of, if not the best character changes i've ever seen. ^^ agree about Skylar. After seeing what was done to Ted and the changes in Walt she's scared. I think she wants out but the only way I could see her doing something is if she went to Hank and told him everything, but I think Walt would be on to her before she could make that happen.
  3. QUOTE (ThinkingBig @ Jul 24 2012, 10:46 AM) QUOTE (Workaholic Man @ Jul 22 2012, 08:27 PM) Got my ticket for Minneapolis today. Couldn't help but read those four horrible words. Shall I try to sneak a camera in anyway?? We'll see.... I've done it and after a time, I realized that I'm just annoying the people behind me. And now when I see people holding up their iPhone or digital camera I think, just enjoy the show, let the camera in your brain capture the memory. I never had a camera the first 15 times I saw RUSH 1982 - 1992. Why do I need one now? Thank you for that! At 5'2" it is hard enough to see without someone in front of me holding up their phone all night. I thought we were past the era of " no camera's". I didn't have that problem on any shows I saw for the TM tour. In fact Geddy and Al hammed it up while I took pics, so I don't understand why the change now.
  4. I do not think they will play any songs that didn't have strings in them to begin with. If the song didn't have it originally I don't think they will re-arrange it to play it with strings now. There are songs previously mentioned in this thread that have strings in them like Tears that they really never play live and now they will be able to with a string section playing along like the original recording. I look forward to hearing songs they may never have played live due to lack of strings.
  5. QUOTE (go2wrk@95974 @ Jul 22 2012, 09:41 PM) Just found out my niece (my oldest sister's youngest daughter) went to school with the "supposed" gunman's younger sister. Talk about a coincidence???? yeah right....nothing's a coincidence. There's more to this story then the president/government, the police and media are telling us...I don't buy the story that this" good Christian kid" just snapped, and went loco en la cabasa, and mowed down 14 innocent people...sorry..and got all dressed up as a S.W.A.T team member to do all this crazy sh*t...good Christian's don't go on shooting rampage's..dressed in police battle gear, and armed to the freakin teeth ..period..EVER...atleast they shouldn't, if they try to live their lives biblically...It just doesn't make any sense...at all. And why would the gunman tell the police," oh btw, don't go to my apt, because I boobie-trapped it..and you'll all get blown to smitherines.... You honestly think somebody who just killed 14 people is going to tell the cops that???? I don't. He knows his goose is cooked..and he's goin to the big clink for quite a few..you think he's gonna care if a few coppers get blown up in in the loon's apt??? I don't think so..... I'm not defending this "supposed" creep..but some of this story doesn't add up...it just doesn't...especially with what I found out today. I want the real truth...I just hope we can get it from the "authorities". He didn't tell them that his house was booby-trapped, he just told them that he had explosives in his apartment. He wanted the cops to go in to investigate and once they opened the door (which was booby-trapped) kaboom.
  6. I saw Daltrey last year when he performed Tommy. He had Simon Townshend to help with vocals. He did the best he could and there were some notes that just made you cringe. All in all not a bad performance but certainly not what most are used to hearing.
  7. I wish they would "rotate" out TSoR, TS, Freewill, Subdivisions, & Limelight
  8. I did get a chance to see it and I did like it. Although this may be the last of the Batman trilogy something tells me this won't be the last we see of some of the characters in this movie. Hathaway as Catwoman did not work for me, she just seemed awkward, IMHO!
  9. 1. just a Rush song I like 2. I'm nobody's hero, just a Rush fangirl
  10. Here are some corrections in what I've read in this thread. The guy watched the movie for about 15 minutes, walked out the back door, propped it open where his car was parked with all of the weapons inside. He came back in wearing a gas mask and full body armor, including a helmet, a vest, neck armor and tactical gloves. He had hundreds of rounds including a drum clip or canister. He had an assault rifle, a shotgun and 2 40 caliber glocks. He went in, set off the gas canisters and when people started running he started shooting. At some point he decided that he had shot enough people, so he stopped, walked out the back door and was met by the police where he surrendered. He told the police multiple times to go check out his home. The ATF and a considerable amount of bomb experts are there now and a spokesman said he had NEVER seen as many wires or booby traps. There are over 250 responders on scene and blocks and blocks have been evacuated. They are dealing with wiring, chemicals, or flammables. They are using cameras to check the entire building. 12 dead and 54 injured the youngest being 3 months. They have evacuated the school he went to as they check for incendiary devices there as well. This was well planned out and the motive remains unknown as the suspect refuses to talk. His father just landed here in Denver and was whisked off the tarmac by the FBI. This is the latest as I watch it live on the local news.
  11. I was looking forward to see this today, but after the shooting here, the kids are not wanting to go see it.

  13. He was working on a PhD in neuroscience. Obviously he had problems as when they contacted his mother this morning to talk to her she told them that they had the right person, so it sounds like he had some problems. This guy booby trapped his home so they have evacuated several blocks of apartments and homes and there are about 250 responders out there sending cameras in to see where all the booby traps are. Such a mess! 12 killed 54 injured. People in the theater at first thought that it was part of the movie, like an extra. He watched the movie for 15 minutes, went out the back door where his car was parked and grabbed his weapons and came back into the theater with a gas mask on holding a canister. Once he let the gas go and people started running he started shooting, bullets going thru the walls into the theater next door.
  14. I picked Tears, but the Garden would be a great choice also.

I graduated high school in 1985, so these are right in my wheelhouse. LiX, Without You but not Home Sweet Home? I graduated HS in 85 also, all of these are the soundtrack to every HS event, dance, new boyfriend and bad breakup. Lot more fun listening to them now though. Then I'm sure you'll join me in saying that the "real" REO ballad in the poll should have been Keep on Loving You. ^^ I agree. Hands down winner if it were in this poll. I just saw REO in May and that one was too sappy for me to listen to. I liked hearing their earlier songs such as Golden Country and Son of a Poor Man, though.

  17. I know Ged & Al bring their own vintage wines on tour with them, so I'm guessing they are great at taking care of their crew.
  18. We start to see the Walt we will all "love to hate" emerge last night. Cocky and sure of himself and his power. Great episode!
  19. QUOTE (Animate @ May 1 2012, 09:47 PM) QUOTE (nobodys hero @ Mar 20 2012, 10:37 AM) I have to go with the 70's as this was when I first fell in love with Ged. Of course my continues to grow and I still think he's a hottie. But literally standing next to him in the early days when he played, and have him smile and look into my eyes hooked me! 70's for me too, plz. tnx. I would love to hear more details about this encounter, if you don't mind sharing! I'm old enough to have seen them since 1976. There were no barriers, no security. I stood in front of him staring and drooling time and again and he always smiled at me, or winked at me or even pointed at me a few times. I met them all, yes even Neil, after shows when they just hung out and talked with the fans for a few minutes. Geddy always commented it was nice to see a girl amid all the male faces in the crowd.
