My missus is a big fan! We have seen them a bunch of times and they always sound heavier live than they do particularly on their later studio albums. Their last few albums haven't been all that good. Yeah ..... kinda rock by numbers stuff. But some of their older albums are great! I like everything through the 80's. I think there might be one in the early 90's that was ok too. Crazy World from 1990 is pretty good. Yeah that's the one I mean. I have a bunch of those albums. I got the remasters from a few years ago as well, plus I already had the previous versions on CD. I've got Scorpions all over the place! I've not listened to them for a while though. I remember seeing them in the Manchester Apollo in July 2007.Michael Schenker's MSG was the support group. Should have been great ... but Schenker was blind drunk. Couldn't string two notes together ..... They were booed off mid set. So disappointing. Scorpions however were superb. They played a slightly longer set to make up for the MSG fiasco. Uli Jon Roth was with them for part of the show. A super performance, and I met Uli Jon as well!! Memorable.

Working Man 10. La Villa Strangiato Timings are based around durations on live sources. -
It is a raging topic here ..... Between England, Scotland, Wales and N. Ireland there could be 4 separate sets of rules. Our last set of rules kicked in at end of September so I haven't seen my mum now for 13 weeks .... I really would like to see her for Christmas! We hope to see her on Boxing day at my brother's house (providing the rule of 3 families over the 5 day Christmas period still stands).

Need to ponder this one over ....... later alligator! -
For me I would start with Hunky Dory and go chronologically. That way you would be going with the flow in terms of his metamorphic nature. Ideally a big binge session.

Bowie all the way.

Metal riffs and songs that strippers could dance to effectively

You clearly need a drop of bromide in your tea! -
Very predictable - you had all the ball, scored with a deflected shot, we scored on the break. Second half we had two excellent chances, missed them. You continued to have all the ball and scored at the end! Indeed it sounds predictable based on other encounters they have had at Anfield. I must admit, I thought Spurs would have won tonight.

I can't really comment on the game as due to unforeseen circumstances I was unable to see it. I know it was a big result for us but it was a late goal so I don't know if it was deserved or not.

Be interesting to see what comes next for SW. He's a clever guy .... next musical steps could go anywhere. If you like To The Bone I guess the new release will appeal to you. Just not proggy enough for me. I hear you. I read an interview where they discussed him returning to jazz roots of early prog. That was pre to the bone material. To the bone ,I agree is not that proggy I really like his heavier side like deadwing and foabp. And early pop leaning tunes on stupid dream and lightbulb sun. Indeed. Lightbulb Sun and In Absentia couldn't be more different, but they're my 2 favorite albums from him. In Absentia was the album that really got me in to Porcupine Tree, but it was the next two, Deadwing and Fear Of A Blank Planet that became my personal favourites.

It shouldn't come as any surprise. The Raven That Refused To Sing and Hand Cannot Erase were both excellent albums. However when To The Bone arrived all the signs were pointing to a change in direction (the wrong direction IMO). So, I kinda hoped that it was a temporary thing and the next release would 'steer the ship into better waters' ...... but no. apparently not.

Todd is one of the greatest drummers in the world. I see STYX twice a year. I've taken my parents to see STYX twice. Once on my birthday in Vegas. Sad that concerts are over thanks to COVID. I am so lucky! It makes me sad that my good friend Duck HATES this band. He calls them STYNX. But hey, that's life. It's his opinion. TODD RULES! PURE CLASS ACT! I hope I get to see STYX again some year. Signed, "The Grand Illusion" Yeah, that's a PUN. Hey Earl, glad to see someone other than myself who likes Styx! I have been lucky to see them a few times now, both in the States and the UK. Super band!
