And you felt it necessary to point this out because.......? Personally, I think you're a repressed Rush groupie wannabe. You'd have done better with the Village People, Freddie Mercury or Elton. Hope you don't think that I 'flamed' you, but then how can you flame a flamer? Yeah I heard he has been lurking in the "Geddy is Hot" thread lately. So I cross indexed those time frames with the typing characteristics of his posts during the same time and... well lets just say... The analysis concluded that he is a "one armed man"? WTF? Apparently my humor is lost on some, even with an emoticon to try and help. Nice 'The Fugitive' reference though.

  5. QUOTE (thebernreuter @ Mar 30 2008, 11:47 PM) Oh Geddy is using his falsetto range; no doubt. He just belts the notes out with enough force to where you can't tell. Same thing with Geoff Tate and Bruce Dickenson; their voices are so strong that they can make their falsetto as loud and full as their chest range. It seems that you don't know the difference between falsetto and full voice. It's simply a matter of natural range. The few guy's with incredible natural range like Ged, etc. are singing in full voice. Singing in less than full voice in order to reach a higher than natural range is falsetto. Obvious examples of falsetto are Jagger in Emotional Rescue or anything by Tiny Tim. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Falsetto
  6. QUOTE (gleamingalloyaircar81 @ Feb 23 2008, 09:42 PM) QUOTE (Ancient Ways @ Feb 23 2008, 09:37 PM) what do you do? Your favorite member of Rush shows up at your house and is your new landscaper and pool cleaner. Do you invite them in for some "lemonade" or do you secretly watch the through your windows? Obviously, you freaks love to watch through whatever windows your gods provide. Enjoy.
  7. OMFG!!!! Well to be honest, around 1984 anything was possible, but today it would be a simple no. But I might still be willing to man the camera.

    Fear

QUOTE (Retrospective @ Dec 25 2006, 01:57 PM) QUOTE (Indica @ Dec 6 2005, 01:31 AM) So the triology of fear has 4 parts so I guess it's not called the trilogy of fear anymore because it should be called Quadilogy or something like that lol. I think Neil just used that term as a joke. He used it again too: another trilogy was the Gangster of Boats trilogy which consisted of Where's My Thing? (Roll the Bones, 1991) and Leave That Thing Alone (Counterparts, 1993). I always thought that Limbo was part of that 'trilogy'. Sure seems to have some aquatic sounds don't you think? Where else would GOB come from? The fact that it would be the third, of four supposed parts, with the first the one named GOB's just makes it all the funnier. Just Lerxt having us on for taking it all so seriously IMO.
  9. Looks like an Omega Man remake. I might have to see this on DVD.
  10. QUOTE (Slaine mac Roth @ Dec 18 2007, 10:48 AM) QUOTE (Test4VitalSigns @ Dec 15 2007, 12:14 AM) I like them...especially the horror flicks. Nosferatu, Totally agree with you here QUOTE (Test4vitalsigns)Phantom of the Opera (with Lon Chaney), The cabinet of Dr. Caligari Sadly, not seen these two yet I'll also have to put my hand up and vote for: Metropolis Buster Keaton films Harold Lloyd films Some of my favorites in there. Particularly Metropolis, which is just loaded with symbolism that translates to today.
  11. It's the physiological effects that the video describes I found most interesting.
  12. I found this to be very interesting and thought I'd share.
  13. Here's your top 10 banned books, and it does include SLC. http://classiclit.about.com/od/ladychatter...tp/aatp-ban.htm
  14. Didn't need to see much of it to recognize that's it a total fraud. Just another psyop, being used to great effect apparently. Some folks will believe anything.
  15. Couldn't agree more. I've never seen it live and would just flip out!
  16. Call me the breeze by Skynyrd never fails to have me checking my speed on the road. That boogie woogie piano by Powell just can't be beat. Where's the love for ZZTop? Ok, so they're more blues based than traditional southern rock, you can't deny their incredible roots-rock sensibility. I was lucky to have seen them live early on, and they were just incredible! Later, not so much. Check out Fandango and you'll see what I mean.
  17. QUOTE (DonB @ Apr 24 2007, 04:29 PM) One flawed system being overthrown and replaced by the promise of something better, only to find the new system rife with flaws of it's own. History's debt cannot be repaid because "something better" never really is achieved. Certainly a true observation, and TR's also, but if that's what Peart meant, then why 'let hope prevail' ? I wonder if he was saying that the USA won't be repaid for it's injustice's and excesses. If so, he may be reconsidering that position.
  18. Seems to me to be an obvious description of the USA, and our descent from fortress of liberty and bastion of ideals into mammon driven warrior empire. Of course Neil points out that the seeds of corruption were there from the start. All shining eyes, but never seeing The greatest minds, and never knowing The bit that's always puzzled me is the last line. History's debt won't be repaid. Who's debt? The American's, or the worlds? Perhaps by being so vague, he's implying a bit of both.
  19. Fantastic! The best yet, and with a bare minimum of propaganda. An armchair travelers delight.
