  1. I never thought Presto was synth era. Its certainly not prog. I call it their MOR trilogy with Bones and CP. Yeah, I didn't really mean it as prog rock in the actual meaning of the word, like 2112 and Hemispheres were, rather that they were changing their music rather than stagnating, literally progressing. More like regressing. I gotta agree there. The Big Money... Never again :( All the shit on HYF and Presto and you focus on The Big Money? It would be the best song on Presto. I mean, as much as that group of 3 are my least favorite Rush albums, The Pass is still one of my favorite songs by them. The Big Money is very very bad.

  4. What I love about the Synth era, is that it's truly progressive rock - they were progressing - also that they never did it to be more commercially viable, they did it because they wanted to. That being said the only two Synth era albums I like are GUP and Presto. *glares menacingly at HYF and PW in the corner*
  5. Working Man Fly By Night Bastille Day 2112 Xanadu La Villa (sorry) The Spirit of Radio Red Barchetta New World Man Kid Gloves Marathon Time Stand Still Chain Lightning Bravado Leave That Thing Alone Driven One Little Victory Faithless Seven Cities of Gold Keep in mind I love every single one of these songs.
  6. Yeah, I did search, and though I didn't see anything, I did kinda skim through so I probably missed it. Sorry about that.
  7. Well, I couldn't find a thread for it, so here we go. Throw down some of your opinons on music that many wouldn't agree with. I can't stand AC/DC or KISS, two of my least favorite bands.
  8. Hey that was my thread! Anyway I figured they disliked touring with KISS, just because their music is less than substantial, but apparently, they liked em a lot. lol.
  9. Best friend told me I look good in glasses and boots. Sounds really juvenile but self esteem is really hard sometimes. God bless her.
  10. I'd give this place a lot more than just three thumbs up. It is true we all have our resident "enemies" but for all the aggravation, and sometimes hurt and disappointment in people here, the good on TRF far outweighs the not-so-good. The human quality of many of the members is stellar. Gotta agree there, only been here 2 weeks or so but I love the forums and everyone on here, I've seen maybe two fights, and neither of them were anything compared to what you see elsewhere. You all are awesome.
  11. How much for the Hemispheres vinyl?
  12. That it was an 80's album?? Recorded, mixed, shrink wrapped, 1979, blah-blah-blah-blah. It's probably weird, but I don't even consider MP to be an 80's album. The eighties starts with Signals for me, it was probably the decided major change in sound. Maybe I'm crazy. I'm on a forum dedicated to one band so, yeah, I am.
  13. I'm imagining the last part like that "let the truth of love be lighted, let the love of truth shine clear" all groggy and tired sounding.
  14. http://media.jrn.com/images/0401004ns-rushfolo_5216397_ver1.0_640_480.jpg This one? lmao
  15. Oh shut up. You have no idea what they would think about anything Oh shut up. You have no idea what they would think about anything I'll give my opinion anytime I want. Go f*ck yourself. Shh we're all friends here, no need for that, in my short time here I have not seen a single insidious argument and I like that, so let's keep it friendly. :)
  16. So, going by what gets posted here, threads about Geddy's hair, Threads about Alex's PJ's, and countless threads about Neil. What would the band think of these forums? Do you think they'd be creeped out, amused? Flattered? We should get someone to do this.
  17. Wow, sounds like a lot of possibility, thanks for that. I really want to go shopping on record store day, problem is during that day i'm busy until that night, where I'm going to a NOFX show. So not too much time to go, maybe I'll find a way to get out of my daytime obligation, lol.
  18. Thanks for the answers guys, I like the idea of starting out with used albums, there's some pretty sweet record shops out in Long Beach that have used sections, I'll have to go take a look.
  19. Oops, pardon the thread necro, didn't even look at the dates. :(
  20. Need Some Love (oooh yes I need some.... LOVE!) Star Spangled Banner/Oh Canada
