I'm far from the type of guy that EVER cries... not that there's anything wrong with that, BUT... Every time I hear 'Marathon', my eyes well up, and I get a warm body rush. It has no special meaning like an old relationship or anything... it just has a crazy effect on my entire soul. Anyone else get that? (From any Rush song)

Over the decades I've seen them in DC, Seattle, Tacoma, Hershey, Baltimore, Norfolk, and LA... Cant say I recall any stank or funk that a fatty wont drown out. :codger:

Not trying to be snarky, but it's tenuous to believe 'internet spoilers' when both Alex and Ged are on record (in every interview the last year) saying both 1. They will add and subtract songs every night. and 2. They ain't telln'. They want to make it special. One thing for sure... I'll find out exactly what they'll play on May 30 at the Jiffy Lube Live amphitheater! :dweez:

My point being that they may not kick off the show with lazers and pyros... but they certainly use them outdoors. I can post more pics for show and tell (from 2011 and 2012) if folks here wanna see.

Silly thread... they already announced the setlist will change from night to night anyway. This is a Rush FAN forum and post after post of "I don't like ______"?? WTF?? Seen every tour since 1976 and still feel lucky to see them together. After Mr. Peart's personal loss, I truly thought that was the end of Rush.

The bottom line on what venue artists play is all about the basic formula of capacity, availability, and last... choice. Totally agree that the outdoor amphitheaters are acoustically superior.. and Rush cranks up the lazers -and pyros- after sundown anyway.

How can you be a Rush fan and "hate Permanent Waves"???

I've seen them every tour since 1977. UFO also played, and another band I can't remember. It was the Farewell To Kings tour. I loved the Signals tour! I don't get how folks were turned off when they went to synths and keyboard?? Already have tickets in hand for R40!!
