  1. Gary Moore set from THAT night in Dortmund. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=48hfDsXdbQo
  2. The Flying V in all it's glory. I was in attendance that night, this was about 1.am and Gary Moore was still to come after MSG. The lineup that night was pretty awesome. The fantastic thing was, they NEVER advertised who was playing. it was 1 unbelievable surprise after another..... The Concerts were held at the Dortmund Westfahlen Halle. The biggest indoor arena in Europe at the time.
  3. It's finally cooling down here. Today was a very pleasant 19C. No rain for a few weeks though, which is very unusual.
  4. I was fortunate enough to see him live on the final tour.
  5. So it's now Agent Sour Face. What's he letting himself in for I wonder.
  6. I had loads of those Compilation albums, but not this one. K-tel indeed !! Was that Tommy Vance with the voice-over? As for UFO, that classic lineup was superb. I was blown away seeing them live. I find it amazing how few top guitarists play a flying V. Is it more difficult to play? The sound is fantastic.
  7. Steve Hillage : Green Bill Nelson : Getting The Holy Ghost Across.
  8. I was very surprise when Wilson initially ended his association with the band. Having seen them live, and the reaction they got, it seemed a very strange decision. Hope he tours with them again. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oeTBGCVpXvI
  9. The band are back ( On record anyway) http://teamrock.com/news/2016-09-09/steven-wilson-confirms-blackfield-v-date
  10. 28C which is freakishly hot here for this time of year. No respite in site, with Tuesday forecast to reach 31c. This is not healthy for my Scottish skin.
  11. Just listened to both episodes there, and really enjoyed them. I like the use of static to give it that 40's radio effect. Ep 1 has now crashed through the 3 figure mark. Ivan should never have gone home so soon. Vinny will be looking out the knuckle dusters after that. What ever is the "Boss" going to say? Unfortunately, this is the only site I register with, thus no comment or like on YOUTUBE. But consider me a fan. Do you know how it's going to pan out, or do you start each writing session from scratch? Maybe you could add some spoof 40's type commercials but for modern products. Anyway, keep them coming. ps Looking forward to hearing the Boss, if he is due to make an appearance that is.
  12. Saturday night the Morgenland Festival All star band http://www.morgenland-festival.com/. Where else can you find a group featuring Europeans, Jews, Arabs, Turks and Kurds!!! The power of music to overcome all differences. To say these concerts can over come the audience with emotion is an understatement. The US has something very similar with the Silk Road Project. If world music is your thing, then this is it in it's purest form. Open Air, in Osnabruck Marktplatz, after the live bands comes the DJ's. Oh and it's free.
  13. Privilege by Ivor Cutler. Just a wee taster..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZkKnnAK7E-U
  14. The Live version of Kingdom by Devin Townsend. I'm surprised that there have been no complaints from my neighbours, as this is a song that demands you listen to it at a very high volume. So powerful.
  15. The band has just released a remix of their classic track. The question is why. You can hear both versions here. Personally prefer the original. http://teamrock.com/news/2016-09-02/temple-of-the-dog-s-hunger-strike-2016-remix
  16. Incredible animal illusions created by Johannes Stoetter . See if you can spot the models before they are revealed.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ny7P_04kiWY
  17. It does seem pretty steep but there is a meal and a concert thrown in. Attendees also get a copy of that concert, which if this band break, will be worth a small fortune as they will also be limited to 50 copies. Plus a free invite to the launch party for the band's new album. Plus it is pretty exclusive with only 50 seats a night available. Finally, it's happening in London, where all events are more expensive than anywhere else in the UK.
  18. Yes he sounds shot. 3hrs 50 minutes!!!!! No wonder he sounds like that. Does he have an interval, or do they play the whole concert straight?
  19. Their first 3 singles were all No 1 but this only made No 8. Managed by Epstein, and produced by George Martin, they split up just months later.
  20. I just hope the RUSH fans, who will snap these tickets up, remember that Terry also produced other bands. They should also throw a few questions at his brother. Of course, we want to hear more about what it's like producing Rush, but I'm sure they both have many fascinating stories about working with other acts too. I imagine the Music Journalists present will keep the session varied .
  21. As a comedy actor, there were few who could match him. Such a funny man on screen.
  22. This sounds really great...... http://teamrock.com/news/2016-08-30/rush-producer-terry-brown-to-take-part-in-intimate-studio-q-a
