The honeymoon phase with CA is not over yet, apparently. Not for them, at least. And it shows that they really believe in that album, which is good. Well I ain't complaining as I like the album, but I know there's X-amount of CA haters who'd go over the cliff together with 4 CA songs in the set. they can party in the parking lot for another 30 minutes. and i'll take one of their seats

in all seriousness, vancouver has a ton of cheap floor seats on stubhub. Seattle looks pretty tight. Portland also has a ton, so you may get decent floor seats for reasonable cost closer to the concert date. Personally, I'd do the 2nd show in vancouver if it was cheap and in your area if you have the bucks and time.

hmmm...let's think out of the box on this. they're also playing seattle and vancouver. so probably for less that what you'd pay for the fourth row seats, you could afford a 2nd show in your area. or let your wife have one of the crappy seats and you buy one of the fourth row seats. you know she's probably just going along for the hell of it.

they make money on tours. they're lucky to breakeven on album sales these days. Given the money dynamics, I wouldn't expect much of an album if they're not willing to adequately tour with it. Maybe a 4 song EP or soundtrack work at best.

Bingo. The only competition for the Tulsa arena was the rodeos and occasional monster truck show.

if you're lucky, they'll have a little tech breakdown and you'll catch the Al Comedy Show.

Well, if they only sell 10 tickets then they won't be coming back if they tour again. Filling up an arena is a good sign that your city will support a big arena rock show whether it be Rush or someone else. This makes it more likely that bands will want to play that particular region if good crowds are drawn for concerts. Plus, a sold out crowd is always a nice thing to be a part of. I wouldn't worry about the attendance for Tulsa. It's the opening night of the tour and it more than likely will "sell out". There are probably a good amount of people who are waiting until the last minute for whatever reason. Those 600 tickets that are available will probably be sold by show time. Some people are probably waiting for the resale prices to go down and they can snag some good seats real cheap because the prices usually drop as the show draws nearer. you'll get some last minute buyers. hey honey what do you wanna do friday night? i heard rush is in town. what the hell, let's go.
