  1. I love Ireland!!!!!!!! You're visiting? Where in Ireland? I don't know my friend! Dublin for sure! It's a pipe dream for now!! BUT HECK YES!!! I must drink lots of Guinness. See the Phil statute. See the Rory gold guitar statue in the window of some pub!!! Shoot I didn't know those were there, lol. Now I have more things to visit when I return, thanks Earl! Also, just a suggestion, but if you're willing to make the trip to the West coast, the Cliffs of Moher are one of the most beautiful sights I've ever laid my eyes on, plus they filmed part of The Princess Bride there. Essential.
  2. So that first song there is brilliantly written. That's a band that knows how to build up to their strengths. Rain is my favourite song of theirs. I truly adore the entire album though, it has real feeling and theirs an edge to it that reminds me of bands like Soundgarden with a modern feel like Alter Bridge or Shinedown. Awesome band...and really nice guys. Struggling to make things work but honestly, the music is sublime! I wish they were signed and better supported! Love Soundgarden, best of the "grunge" bands. I'll check out those other videos.
  3. I've yet to get around to their LP's, but I cannot resist the riff to Up Around The Bend. Perfection.
  4. It's now dripping with sarcasm but it's still chill It definitely wasn't chill for a while there, though I suppose I didn't need to say anything.

  7. U2 claim they're working super hard on Songs of Experience and that it will be out next year. We'll see...
  8. Oh, and a few weeks back. Bob Dylan - Blonde On Blonde (mono) Charlie Parker Quintet - Live At Massey Hall ^^cheap on iTunes^^ And some vinyl including: Cheap Trick - At Budokan Bob Dylan - Nashville Skyline Plus dad found Rubber Soul on CD for two bucks at goodwill. CD's are all equal to them, and I love it.
  9. Emerson, Lake, and Palmer - Emerson, Lake, and Palmer Fleetwood Mac - Rumors Both $6 on iTunes.
  10. Excellent! Always love to see some love for Exogenesis.
  11. Green is my favorite color. No I'm not high.
  12. I have now purchased ELP's debut. Hope I love it.
  13. Don't Say No is the only reason I need Song after song of pure classic rock with attitude.
  14. My favorite comeback album ever. After abandoning Queen after Flash and never ever listening to Hot Space, I was blown away when I first heard The Miracle. A great album! A Kind Of Magic is really good as well. Yeah...I kind of skipped over it, but that's the one with One Vision, yes? And don't forget Princes Of The Universe, Friends Will Be Friends, Who Wants To Live Forever, and the magical title track (pun intended)!
  15. Muse Time Is Running Out Reapers United States Of Eurasia New Born Hysteria Those are actually just some of my favs.
  16. Stroke! Stroke! What a voice on that guy, too.
  17. Flint, Michigan before the water crisis had some pretty great live music.
  18. Coldplay in particular bring back very intense emotions wrapped around my first crush for two or three years in high school. It's hard to listen to some of their stuff anymore, but it can be very satisfying to play and sing because of this. I suppose it really doesn't help that I don't build new memories around A Rush Of Blood To The Head and the like.
  19. That's how it works for me. One of the reasons I'm very selective about when I play my favorite records.
  20. The Dolls were most notable in the under ground I think. They were a big influence on a lot of much bigger bands, but they've never really hit the mainstream. In other words I listened to one of their songs on Spotify once, that's all I've heard. Aerosmith define classic rock. When I think of rock, I think of Aerosmith. That will never change. They were never the strongest album band but their records were always rockin', and I'm of the firm belief that Pump is better than any of their seventies records, the other eighties albums also being pretty great. You wanna talk perfect rock and roll bands, they don't get any closer to the heart of rock and roll than Aerosmith. I could listen to them all day. That said, KISS are unbelievable. So, so, so, so much charisma and identity, I can't help but love them even if their output is a little worse than Aerosmith's. But boy, Alive sure wreaks havoc on most live albums. KISS is cool, and that will also never change. Scooby and Shaggy were big KISS fans! (Lol) And they've got a ton of great songs. Not to mention Paul Stanely is an incredibly under appreciated vocalist. It takes more than average talent to sing like that. I need to put him in my list of favs. It's a close call between Smith and KISS, but the music nerd in me usually prefers better records, so I'll vote Aerosmith.
  21. He's had plenty of solos and features with songs, and even more epic bass lines that would constitute solos for lesser players. A bass solo song never really fit Rush as much as it did Yes. Rush were too much of a team.
