  1. I consider myself a WWII history nut too. You're right about the planes. Was there a bombing raid in Oslo too? Again if memory serves me right the Oslo bombing raid was complete mess total disaster for the allies chalk it up there with "Operation Market-Garden",but I'm not sure
  2. I live in northern Nevada and we have lots of Basques here. Are you originally from Euskadi (the Basque Country)? Yes I was born right outside of Bilbao in the Biscay region very beautiful area specially the Bay Area I have dual citizenship Spain/US,also much respect that u used the word Euskadi
  3. "Operation Carthage" very daunting mission and very hard, but I saw that too they took out the floors but the mission also had huge mistakes the fighters were off so the fighters shot at the same spot finally taking out the floor with the Gestapo but than a plane clipped a building and crashed into a church or school and children were killed very sad......but that is war no one wins If memory serves me right they used those fast Mosquito Bombers which were also used in another similar called Oslo Mosquito raid I'm a big WW1 & 2 history nut,let me make it clear though I depise war We always must try at diplomacy no matter how severe but sadly in WWII it was a mess and spiraled out of control fast and became the worst war mankind has ever faced, basically "Total War" term used by a German General Ludendorff. But I am interested in the history of it the people, tactics, politics, material, etc
  4. I'm down for any Rush show but I'm not a big fan of "S&A" so play all they need to play from that is "Larger Bowl" be nice to hear "cut to the Chase" and always felt "show Don't Tell" would be a killer opener just rip into it have the place go apeshit!,and bring back some RTB stuff I'm a big fan of the dark Rubert Hine era and the heavy "Counterparts"
  5. Mystery Science Theater 3000 "I Accuse My Parents" oh man I'm in tears
  6. They film some of those right by my apt building off E. 5St and I see the signs up around broadway and Lafayette,NYC
  7. "A Day In September" (about the 1970 Munich Olympics tragedy) "New York Doll" (about Arthur "The Killer" Kane bass player for the "New York Dolls" one of my fav bands btw)
  8. Wow this show got boring fast it's just like the comic practically (which Beats the show any day) but I can see why people dig it,although I'm looking forward to "28 Months Later" and another Romero zombie movie, too bad Lucio Fulci is dead guy made great sick movies like "Zombi" and "New York Ripper" good stuff
  9. Omg I just shit my pants there touring again? Fawkin A although I wonder how they got Peart to tour so quickly again? And is there a new album to come out? Or just another live album? Remember when Rush released a live album every 4 studio albums,I do.....I miss those days
  10. Seems like more pro Rush comments are flooding the website, shit if mah boys play there I'm throwin down to shitty CA and sit through some crap than go apeshit to see a stripped down Rush set WOOHOO!
  11. Hmm well I'm a Basque born in northern Spain than moved to NYC......kinda boring really, but that's it!!!
  12. "The Final Cut" starring Robin Willams, great fawkin movie!!!! I want a Zoe implant!
  13. COS is the mofo tits and I'll blaze to that vinyl any day ......but "I Think I'm Going Bald" is still one of my least fav Rush songs
  14. I'm sorry but Kimmel is funny but a lot of these are fake their actors it looks so scripted as does other ones he does but it's still amusing,a friend of mine got stopped by them and was asked to "go along with the questions just agree with us" so on one hand it's amusing on the other it's BS but 2 things are true there are idiots at festivals and Kimmel is one funny mofo
  15. Oddly there number one on the polls of bands "that fans want to see" this shot up after Roger Waters performance and that Rush has now become "cool" as in me walking down St Marks in manhattan and seeing a hipster with a signals shirt on,I never thought I'd see the day And yes on the home sight there are some that are not into them but I'd love to see a stripped down show no solo, maybe some rare picks of songs, and it is a cool outdoor venue Odds are it won't happen but I'd hope it would I'd be on a plane right over there just like when Roger Waters played only thing I hate is the heat eeeyaa
  16. As always every year Rush is a Rumored to play at CA, Coachella festival which I go to sometimes but it's too damn hot!! But for Rush I'll deal with it.But it seems to be gaining steam since Roger Waters stellar performance last year and with Rush gaining popularity with hipsters (I never though I'd see the day) and reading Coachella main site it seems Rush is the band the want to see headline (and again I never thought I'd see the day).Coachella has always been more catered to the indie crowd which is fine but has gone mainstream since the 2004 Re uniting of the Pixes. But would be cool to see Rush play there and do a stripped down set of say 45-60mins and I front of a beautiful area where you see deserts,Mountains, etc just totally empty just fans from all over the world.I know my Aussie Rush long suffering fans will love this cause will def jump on a flight to CA to see them, than again I see fans from around the world when I see them in NYC specially at the than brand new arena in Brooklyn Barclays Center 10/22/12 like a nite before hurricane Sandy(Even hurricanes can't stop Rush! Lol) came in to NYC.But I notice hipsters in there and wasn't surprised since Brooklyn is hipster capital of the world ...sigh Only thing thing that seems to shoot this down was that I read there taking off in 2014(or not I get confused a lot) but they did SARStock but i can see that was more personal to the boys helping out Their hometown. But to see them at Coachella would be interesting If this was posted all ready sorry
