  1. My advice? Don't f**k up. Don't ever let yourself get into a hole. Once the grades fall, getting them up takes twice the work. College is too expensive to have to prolong because you haven't really given your future enough thought. You probably know your strengths and weaknesses fairly well so try to find that major sooner rather than later. Going a lot of extra semesters adds huge$$$$ to your debt, or your parents' debt, so get good grades the first time and work hard. Make friends that do not weigh you down or suck your energy out of you. Pick people to befriend that you admire. Talk to your professors and spend time getting to know them. They can be not only an invaluable source of education for you, but life-lessons, connections, and mentoring. NEVER EVER drink alcohol before going to afternoon/evening class or heavily the night before exams. The reason? It impacts your brain cells so you absolutely cannot perform well. The result is no different mentally than it is physically, i.e., driving. Best of luck to you pal!
  2. QUOTE (The Owl @ Aug 25 2012, 07:10 AM) I posted about this before, and someone mentioned that the admins are either putting it off due to bandwidth limits and possible considering taking it away altogether.

  4. This song has very big testicles. The tone, the power, the opening, the build-up, the tension, the release into the riff.... Big testicles.
  5. Thanks all. Feelin' a bit achier today.... Time for some pick-me-up! http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3006/2793051156_6ef0e11d65.jpg
  6. Wrong. It lacks "What do you lack?" The lyric insert shows ii-The Pedlar 2 it to be between Headlong Flight and BU2B2. It specifically notes 'the ever wandering pedlar' asking "What Do You Lack"... But it ain't there. Nowhere to be found. Somebody goofed. I don't mind one bit; I just think it's an error.
  7. QUOTE (ReRushed @ Aug 13 2012, 10:55 AM) QUOTE (Khan @ Aug 13 2012, 10:47 AM) QUOTE (J2112YYZ @ Aug 13 2012, 09:44 AM) Can they just get rid of Walt jr at this point? He's always been annoying but he's just taking it to a whole new level now. Seriously, if they just wrote him out of the show and never mentioned him again I don't believe anybody would care or miss him. Very good episode and it was cool how they pulled off the robbery. The ending scene was surprising but that's what needed to happen, you can't leave any witnesses Agreed...the kid can go. But...WOW..what an ending! I had a feeling it was going to go that way when they saw him. So who were the other two guys? I was kind of thinking they would get wacked at the end so they wouldn't have any loose ends. Walt Jr. is key to what is happening because of Walt's decisions. It's not insignificant what's happening. Walt started doing what he's doing for his family. Look at what is actually happening. My feeling is before the end of this show we will see Walt Jr using some of Walt's blue ice. That would really be something wouldn't it?
  8. Well, sounds to me that that guy prolly learned his lesson....never drive over a curb while getting a blowjob from your girlfriend while in her mothers car!

  10. I do not necessarily think they will get a nod for best song, but I can definitely agree with a Grammy nomination for Best Rock Album. Just not too sure they will win, but there's always hope!
  11. I can tell you that those autographs look legitimate. The only question is it a high def copy of the entire thing that is framed....

    Secret Touch

It along with Earthshine were the two songs on VT that immediately stood out for me and took zero work to instantly like.

  15. I only have two complaints that prevent this from being a near perfect album. 1. The opening of BU2B being changed. Alex's guitar does not sound like it "belongs" to the sound of the album. Geddy's spooky voice is way too similar to the very next song, Clockwork Angels' opening sounds... It all is highly unnecessary in my opinion ...... But if I had been producing this album I would have either had them try to make the new opening completely different sounding than that of Clockwork Angels first half a minute, or deleted it altogether and gone with the original song, just maybe remixed it. 2. BU2B2 is just so off. Geddy's voice would have had effects on it for one thing to make it more surreal. It is the only vocal performance on the record I do not like. The strings I don't mind so much, but the whole arrangement is a bit meh. So that is a grand total of about 2 minutes out of a 66 minute album. Otherwise, this album is fourth in the catalog for me. Moving Pictures Permanent Waves Hemispheres Clockwork Angels I am happy you were wrong too Goob!
  16. John has just a little suggestion for any person, anyone, at all that dislikes anything having to do with Rush, or has complaints about songs by Rush: Here's John: http://i2.listal.com/image/1236720/600full-johnny-cash.jpg
  17. Skyler is in too deep to do anything. She has seen Walt, her mild mannered, cancer ridden husband go thru a change that no one would ever do, and he took on the southwest's drug lord and won by essentially executing him. Now he walks into their home and says "hi hunny, I'm home! Hi Holly! Yo Walt Jr, where's the Raisin Bran?" She is simply in her own fugue state, and probably realizes her life is done and her family is gonna pay a horrible price, say in about 14 more episodes! She is pulling off acting these confused feelings brilliantly. It's the first time I have ever wanted to see more of her in all 5 seasons!
  18. A wet fart through a thick layer of gaberdine has better sound quality that vapor trails.......
  19. The next episode is entitled "Madrigal"
