  1. Xanadu would be awesome regardless of the setlist placement. Idk, I didn't mind WM as the ender of Set II; the Alex solo is fabulously indulgent.
  2. QUOTE (Thunder Bay Rush @ Sep 14 2012, 10:29 AM) Oh, trust me, if I was working for someone else, I'd quit in two seconds! The problem is that I'm self-employed and I have to make hay when the moon shines, or however the hell that saying goes... If I don't go to do this contract, I'll be turning down $15K... gotta go. But, I'm still going to buy a large pack of Mydol today. SOB! And, I'll be watching my mailbox for a few of those big-ass chocolate chip cookies mentioned above... ugh. I sympathize as my husband is (literally) a farmer, so yes, when there is nice weather outside during the nice months, I'm sad because he is stuck working in the fields instead of catching rays on the beach with me
  3. Why is it you "have" to go? I mean, really. What if you had this huge vacation planned around the world, bought and paid for and not really easily rescheduled? Can you remotely attend the work stuff during the day from the Rush cities? (Skype, email, chat, etc)? Does your work know you were taking this time off in the first place? (I don't know what it is you do, which may be the problem of me not helping you...)
  4. Don't ever buy this stuff unless you have the metabolism of a 17 year old boy, or don't care about gaining any amount of weight whatsoever. http://www.amazon.com/Trader-Joes-Speculoo...r/dp/B006KK4GUO Oh. My. Lord.
  5. Actually, I'm sorry Rush even started. Because the bar was set too damn high and it's nothing but disappointment as a result.
  6. My century is this weekend
  7. Rush, burning? http://www.post-gazette.com/stories/ae/mus...-angels-652948/
  8. QUOTE (An Enemy Without @ Sep 9 2012, 10:12 PM) Some of you need to grow the f**k up. "You don't like the setlist?!? MOM HE DOESN'T LIKE THE SETLIST!!" Seriously. A bunch of f***ing ten year olds. LOL
  9. QUOTE (ReflectedLight @ Sep 9 2012, 07:42 PM) QUOTE (iluvgeddy05 @ Sep 9 2012, 07:41 PM) They played Working Man. Quite well too. now there's a tune we haven't heard in a while. Psh. I could listen to Alex's live solo in that everyday for the rest of my life.
  10. They played Working Man. Quite well too.
  11. I say it's mint green
  12. QUOTE (GeddyRulz @ Sep 8 2012, 03:00 PM) The strings were barely audible. They played WITH the guys' electric instruments, and the guys drowned them out. The string musicians played no "solos" or anything like that. The symbols on their shirts were the alchemy symbols from the album artwork, and not every player wore the same symbol. I also noticed some of the players were young and tattooed. Exactly.
  13. He sounded pretty good, but its hard when it's that loud and rumbly to distinguish. Plus I was singing along...
  14. They definitely did not overpower, rather complimented the songs. And they only played on parts, not the whole way through. I believe the symbol on the shirts was something rushy.
  15. Many were still during the garden but I did nit witness anyone crying. Mostly silently awed.
  16. Just got back from Manchester. I feel like they picked my younger brain and said "yes, let's play those songs" Unbelievable! I'm in love. I was dying with the first set with pure joy and shock. Plus, it included and impromptu drum solo in the middle of Where's my Thing which was awesome!! The strings were a really nice compliment and not weird or overbearing. Tons of new pyro and lighting tricks Tad disappointed in the encore but definitely a crowd favorite. IT WAS SO GOOD.
  17. TRF needs a mobile site or app to make this more helpful
  18. I wanna have beers with John arrowsmith!
  19. I'm definitely part if the "used to think i was hard core" club. But that's not what you're asking
  20. Openers are going to be probably popular songs, or new CA songs, former singles.. I've noticed recently the third-fifth songs have been reserved for the deeper, not played in a long time, cuts. (entre nous, digital man...). I could see chemistry and analog kid fitting in those slots.
  21. Headlong flight and wreckers, given they are the to official singles from the album..
  22. QUOTE (hermy @ Aug 31 2012, 10:58 AM) http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d153/avplanners/ScreenShot2012-08-31at110426AM.png oh?
  23. QUOTE (EveryNerveAware @ Aug 30 2012, 04:18 PM) QUOTE (rushfanNlv @ Aug 13 2012, 02:03 PM) Rachel Ray's "Week in a Day". It's on Sunday mornings at 9:00. She runs through how to prepare a whole weeks worth of meals in one day. Several great tips and tricks. I also like the "The Best Thing I ever...." series of shows. Thanks for the tip. I'll set that one to record. Don't like Rachel Ray but always looking for ways to make feeding the family easier. Rachael Ray has really calmed down over the years... and I really like "Week in a Day" because she is way less hyper in this show. I don't ever make all the meals for the week, but it's interesting to watch and she does give out good tips in the "off side" interviews. Can I just say for the record I loathe the "Pioneer Woman"? Puhlease! She claims to live on a hard working ranch...yeah, ok. I live on a small farm in upstate NY and my husband comes home looking like a mess most days. This woman's husband always shows up in a stupid cowboy hat, all clean and trimmed and hungry. Give me a break! He also seems like kind of a jerk and she just soaks up the 50's housewife roles by cooking for his unappreciative a$$. Overall, the Food Network is getting a bit out of hand with the portrayal of the perfect life around food. Like, I get it, but it's annoying and unrealistic The kitchens are always clean. The friends always come over with bottles of wine in hand, smiles and laughter. Everything is just so damn nice.
