Yearly Standing at Concerts Thread
Disembodied Spirit replied to pfrushfan0122's topic in On The Lighted Stage
Yeah, ain't nobody sitting at a Maiden show. If you want to sit all night go see Michael Buble -
He was with his wife..I went for a beer and somehow they struck up a conversation with my Girlfriend. I had my Rush shirt on. BTW Foreigner and Night Ranger put on a hell of a show. SO this guy- at the show who custom met is ALSO -THIS GUY- The guy on the plane who wants to talk. The guy at the mechanic who wants to tell me what's wrong with his car even though, I also am getting my oil changed. - When you see/ hear this guy, there is only 1 thing to do- Run for zee hills. He usually never shuts up.

That 2nd song, 2nd set is going to be the spot they switch up. Tom Sawyer is a LOCK to begin 2nd set. After TS you could play ANYTHING off MP or ANYTHING off PeW That puts YYZ, Natural Science right in the crosshairs. TSOR stays and Jacob's stays too IMO -
This is why I don't discuss anything with strangers at concerts. You should never talk to strangers anyway. Didn't your Mommy ever tell you that? Exactly- This I talk to everyone world we live in is horrible. Do parents still tell kids not to talk to strangers or do they just text them? That explains all the trouble you've gotten into then. It's why as I've gotten older I keep to myself. I don't how you say it, discuss music with strangers at Foreigner shows....

I think the setlist will be different in some manner on the entire tour. Songs will come and go. Be rotated in and out. If you rotate 10 songs total in some manner or another, every show will be unique Maybe get pulled out for 5 shows then come back for 2 , then gone again.
-
yeah, I don't get it either. "this song sounds like shit because I knew they would be playing it." ? seems like an older person vs young person thing. people our age don't give a shit, and I guess for everybody else not knowing the set makes you feel young again? I dunno. Older person? Older person?! What the hell is that supposed to mean?!... .... :codger: Oh I am loving getting older. Now being an irritable guy you can blame on age. I can't wait to get a cane so I can whack kids in the knees. "Get off my porch you heathens!" :codger:

Why was Jay Baruchel wearing a Texas Tech jersey? Peter Dinklage's brother Jonathan was in the string ensemble on the Clockwork Angels tour. I wonder if Peter is actually a Rush fan or if they called in a favor for fun. Did Jay Barachel lose a bet to be wearing a Texas Tech jersey? We know he's Canadian

Official 2015 PGA Tour Thread

Nice outfit... She should have a bit more class than that. We were making the same comment at our mother's day gathering. Well, if she wanted some attention for herself, she got it. Someone needs to tell her the Country Club and the Night Club are 2 completely different places. Rickie is now being referred to as the Andre Agassi of the 21st century sportsworld. -
Just so everyone knows. I am NOT going to be the Periscope to go guy for New Orleans. I will be watching the show. Shall we request a Periscope Feed thread to be pinned for the tour?

As awesome as that would be, I don't see Subdivisions moving for it. Sorry, Lorraine. :( Why not? They could alternate the two. Subdivisions has been played in many tours. The last time they did The Weapon was in the mid-eighties. I'll keep my fingers crossed just the same. :) 1st set staples are Subdivisions and Roll the Bones. Those will be played every show. Everything else is up for swap....although IMO Animate and Headlong Flight are also 1st set locks

1st off is anyone still watching this show head toward it's death? WOW! Talk about a meaningless storyline x 10 Forget the Sopranos, Seinfeld or any other show, unless something amazing happens in the finale next week, this show will be the UNDISPUTED winner of worst finale.

You will not know until showtime or during the show. It being Lincoln, I think chances are slim.

A Rush fans allowed to be liberal? ;) I thought all Rush fans were Canadian?

How Shocked Is Narp after leaving at the end of set 1?
Disembodied Spirit replied to LocalsBandGuy's topic in R40 Tour Forum
I think the excitement of the show will keep you awake. :) Its the six hour drive there and back that concerns me some. A couple years ago not a problem. Now who knows. Any of you young folks out there my advice to you would be stay that way as long as possible... :) A couple of years ago when I went to the Chicago concert I drove the ten hour round trip. I didn't get home until after dawn. It was tough, but I did it. My suggestion if you're not going to get a hotel and stay overnight and do the driving is to make sure to eat plenty of protein and keep your blood sugar up so you won't get sleepy. That and caffeine. The excitement of the concert kept me awake for several hours after it. It wasn't until the last hour or so driving that I was really tired. I am going to spend the night somewhere. Its my general health and the meds I take that concern me more than anything. I really don't want to bore folks with that sh*t anymore though. I really appreciate your response however. Very kind words of encouragement. Thanks... :) Narps plenty of nice hotels in Alpharetta. Been up there plenty of times for work. Within 2 exits off GA 400 in either direction. Hit me up if u want specifics and my experience. Not sure what your cost is -
These guys just snagged 7th Row, Alex's side. "Now what in the hell, is a Red Barsheetta?" http://i1303.photobucket.com/albums/ag153/Freedom80065/4Farmers_jpg_800x1000_q100_zpsfk9uupx3.jpg

It's only been around a few months. People have been fliming movie bootlegs with their phones for years. The way companies fight technology, this hypothetical, James Bond jamming signal you speak of, should be in place by the Summer of 2034 I don't think it's that hypothetical, but your right. Any kind of widespread implementation of that type of technology would probably end up going thru the court system first. By that time, Periscope will be old school. Just like Napster, until something is done legally about it. Jump in. I personally would not waste my time streaming a video of a ball game, a trip to the mall or a Rush concert, but hey I'm glad people are doing it. I caution, we are never guaranteed a feed from ANY Rush show, you just have to find it.
