Atlanta setlist swap - a song from Buffalo makes a return.
EagleMoon replied to Snaked's topic in On The Lighted Stage
Awesome show. People much more animated and vocal at this show than any I've been to. There were a few goofs here and there but I imagine some of it was due to the cold. Geddys voice was in top form tonight. He hit notes I've not heard him hit in a couple of years. -
Honestly I don't mind Limelight that much but it seems like it's been played to death. I would like to hear something a bit more unusual.

QUOTE (32Ford @ Oct 27 2012, 08:09 AM) Verizon Wireless Theatre in Atlanta said they would forward the mail. I sent a photo earlier this week. Had luck wtih them on The Time Machine Tour. Signed my 8x10. Trying another 8x10 made out ot my kids. I sent my AFTK album cover to them too. Here's hoping!

I think TBE is a great song on the CD, just not sure how well it transfers to a live audience. Personally I wish they'd take out one of the PW songs and replace it with something else.

QUOTE (HalfwayToGone @ Oct 26 2012, 08:20 AM) I guess I'll find out soon enough, but how many guitar picks came in the set, and what do they look like? Any "signature" picks? Red and white picks with RUSH, Clockwork Angels and the CA clock. Kind of faded out. The ones that come with the pick holder are MUCH nicer. There are 6 total.

QUOTE (robertrobyn @ Oct 25 2012, 11:28 PM) QUOTE (EagleMoon @ Oct 25 2012, 11:02 AM) Got my stuff today. http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t180/imzadi-7/IMG_01731.jpg Whats the tiny red box below the tote bag? The tiny box has the guitar picks in it. It's metal and slides open. Oh and the laminate and commemorative concert ticket you get at the show. That's where I got mine. They were in an envelope along with my regular concert ticket.

You can almost see the circuits blowing

QUOTE (TheWK90 @ Oct 25 2012, 01:23 PM) Eaglemoon: did they give you a tracking number? Do you live in the eastern side of this country? What letter does your last name start with? I'm asking because I was under the impression that they were shipping in order of the shows and mine was 9 days before yours, so I'm just trying to figure out the actual order that they may be shipping our goodies. My last name begins with a W, so I hope they're not going alphabetically. Edit: Then again, which date did the Columbus VIPNation tix go on sale? The Pittsburgh presale for VIPnation started on April 30. No, no tracking number. It just showed up today on my front porch. My last name begins with K. I live in Ohio, so sorta midwest/east. Honestly I can't remember the date the Columbus tickets went on sale. I looked through my emails but didn't see anything.

QUOTE (apetersvt @ Oct 25 2012, 01:13 PM) QUOTE (EagleMoon @ Oct 25 2012, 01:02 PM) Got my stuff today. Great. Still haven't got mine yet from the DC show (2nd - right after NH). What show was your VIP? Columbus, Sept 20th was my first show.

It's true that he can't hit the high notes like he used to, but then his voice has always been a bit inhumanly awesome to start with. He's just down to the normal human range now. That's one more thing that makes this group so diverse in style.

I put it at #6. Signals is also where I kind of stopped listening for a while. I like it now, but at the time it was just okay.

Some Rush songs are an OCD nightmare. Headlong Flight is one of the newest worst offenders. Though in a good way. I've had lots of people tell me they couldn't get it out of their heads, especially the opening riff. For me, the beginning to Animate, Cygnus X-1, The Body Electric and YYZ are some of the ones I keep hearing repeatedly.

Great seats available for the Cleveland show

QUOTE (SchemingDemon @ Oct 21 2012, 03:20 PM) Best I'm finding is section 127 which is way too far back for $96 Yeah same here. Section 127. -
I'm torn between Animate and Leave That Thing Alone. They're my two faves. It's interesting how I've heard multiple people say that they've grown to love this album but hadn't at first. Same with me. In fact most of the late 80s/90s stuff didn't do much for me at all at the time but I've learned to love it since. I think the guys have been ahead of their time for a long time.

I love when Neil updates his travels. Looks like he came through SW Ohio too, which is cool. He seems like such a likable guy with a wicked sense of humor.
-
He wiggled a lot at Columbus. Turned his butt to the audience and just did it deliberately. Wish I had a video of that.

Most fans want to hear Jacobs Ladder
EagleMoon replied to losingit2k's topic in On The Lighted Stage
I'd like to hear it but I also have a lot of other songs I'd like to hear. Like The Fountains of Lamneth, Natural Science, Permanent Waves, Something for Nothing..etc. -
QUOTE (Steely Caress @ Oct 5 2012, 12:07 AM) Hoping to get mine before the next tour. Or at least before 2112.

I don't think I've ever heard a song he's sung that I didn't like. They all give me the shivers. Some that really come to mind that I really like are the obvious ones, like the end of 2112... My spirits are low in the depths of despair My lifeblood spills over.. And "The Sphere" part of Hemispheres... We can walk our road together If our goals are all the same. We can run alone and free If we pursue a different aim. Let the truth of love be lighted, Let the love of truth shine clear. Sensibility, armed with sense and liberty, With the Heart and Mind united in a single perfect Sphere. More recently The Way the Wind Blows, takes my breath away. I love the way he sings that song. I'm liking a lot of the vocals of Clockwork Angels as well, but I don't care much for how they did the vocal tracks on this CD. They don't stand out enough.

I haven't gotten my swag yet and my first show was 3 weeks ago. Sucks.

Clockwork Angels Tour Setlist
EagleMoon replied to Tombstone Mountain's topic in On The Lighted Stage
QUOTE (Tombstone Mountain @ Oct 1 2012, 03:55 PM) QUOTE (EagleMoon @ Oct 1 2012, 03:22 PM) Love The Body Electric but they could lose Grand Designs, Red Sector A and Territories. I would like to hear more obscure stuff that's not from the Power Windows era. Maybe Cygnus X-1, In The End, Lakeside Park...etc. Songs we haven't heard in like forever. As long as Geddy can sing it, or its an instrumental, I'm all for it. thanks for joining the thread with your opinion eaglemoon...I have a feeling we'll never get to hear those songs, but hey, that's what dreams are made of...are you going to see them this tour? I saw them in Columbus and going to see them again in Atlanta. Can't wait! -
