  1. These came to mind after the news of how the plane went down last week: No hero in your tragedy No daring in your escape No salutes for your surrender Nothing noble in your fate Christ, what have you done?
  2. I'm heading over from Ireland in July! Not holding out much hope for a European leg...
  3. Toronto is the logical choice but I could see KC or Denver as well given they are at the start of the final leg. Ged's voice would be rested and the show should be running like clockwork at that point.
  4. Not likely given how much was played from PW last tour. My guess is if we get a deep cut from this era it will be Kid Gloves or The Enemy Within. A stretch would be something off HYF.
  5. I'm hoping this language implies a second leg will be announced (including Europe) and that any subsequent tours will be shorter North American stops only. A secondary hope is that if Europe is included a stop in Dublin is included given I just moved to Ireland. One can hope!
  6. PeW or PoW? We just got PoW on the last tour, and there is nothing on that album for casual fans. PeW... agree to both your points! I'll edit
  7. I think a compilation of previously released instrumentals + 1 or 2 new ones would fall flat. In my opinion, the fans interested in the deep cut instrumentals already own the back catalog and wouldn't pony up the $$ to buy this compilation. People listen to music differently today with Spotify, Itunes, etc. and cobbling together a playlist of instrumentals can easily be done without having to buy a CD. As far as a tour "featuring" the instrumentals, I think this too would be a bust if they used this as the main promotional selling point AND expected to play arenas. Again, my opinion but I think you would see a steep drop off in attendance especially coming off of the less than "casual" fan friendly setlist of the CA tour. I think it could work if they were willing to drop down to smaller theaters. Personally, I think they should follow the Time Machine model... release a couple of songs (instrumentals, ok!) and tour featuring either PeW or 2112 in its entirety. This of course assumes they are not releasing another album to support. Plenty of demand for either of those two which translates into butts in the seats... and $$ in their bank accounts.
  8. I think the band should put together a standard list of 5 or 6 deep cuts on their website. Voting starts the day of the show and the top 2 make it to that nights show... one in each set. One vote only and results are not visible so everyone is surprised come show time. Surely they could pull something like this off....
  9. Yes, Tonight that area will likely be in the Marcus Ampitheater.... Meet-up at 7:45 sharp
  10. Thinking about hitting the Bong Recreation Area on my way up from Chi Town
  11. You are the 2,112th caller to your favorite radio station and correctly answer the challenging trivia question "who was Rush's first drummer". You are offered one of the following prizes: 1) Ride with Neil between tour stops of your choosing (Includes a one hour no restrictions lunch conversation) 2) A wine tasting event followed by a MLB game of your choice with Geddy 3) A round of golf with Alex (including a lengthy stay at the 19th hole) 4) A private one hour concert at your favorite watering hole... no interaction with the band but you choose the setlist What do you choose?
  12. I have all studio except GUP. I didn't like direction band was headed... Jumped back on bandwagon after hearing Marathon and never looked back. Any GUP fans out there that want to convince me to finish out the collection?
