  1. I went to our local record store (oldest in the country!!) and purchased four LPs. They were $8 each. They are in really nice shape...the actual albums are pristine and the covers have some wear, but are in nice condition. There are some more down at the store I want to purchase. I sent the cover today...I guess we'll see what happens!
  2. CONSOL Energy Center c/o RUSH 1001 Fifth Avenue Pittsburgh, PA 15219
  3. I contacted Consol yesterday to verify the proper address. They say they can guarantee that once it arrives they will get it to the tour management. After that, it's out of their hands. I'm going to grab the CA LP and send the cover in with a silver sharpie. I'll risk an album cover.
  4. This is wonderful! This is the first (and maybe only) Rush concert my kids will be attending and it would make a super Christmas present to have something signed and made out to the family. Great thread!
  5. QUOTE (rushfanforever! @ Aug 28 2012, 01:05 AM) QUOTE (drbirdsong @ Aug 27 2012, 11:01 PM) Little House On The Prarie. I think the only reason I took up reading and music is because whenever this show came I on I ran screaming from the family room. Back in those days we only had three channels so Mom and Dad were in control and the kids were the remote. It's funny that you mentioned that show! Same here; I had no control of the TV programs that I watched in the 70's. Sincc I collect old things, I recently saw and purchased the complete box set of the show at Sam's Club and started to watch the DVD's. OMG!! Actually, not as -inducing as you might think many years later. Should be mandatory viewing now; maybe it would change a few mindsets....same problems both then and today in some fashion. Hard work does play off... My kids LOVE watching Prairie and The Brady Bunch. They started watching The Munsters, too. Ah, the classics!
  6. QUOTE (Tommy Sawyer @ Aug 27 2012, 05:00 PM) Yeah and they Fing misspelled 'Peart'. They did?
  7. My kids had a wonderful first day of school. Oldest moved up to the next school building, which was a huge feat! I'm one proud mama!
  8. Just about anything nominated for an Oscar.
  9. Alcatraz. It would have been nice to know how everyone disappeared and then reappeared.
  10. The Office should have ended with Michael Scott's departure. Scrubs should have never had their last two or three seasons. Cheers' last two seasons were relatively abysmal. How I Met Your Mother is starting to wear out.
  11. You want funny indictments on the education systems? Check out Cake Wrecks! It is a fantastic blog of cakes gone horribly wrong. Updated daily.
  12. The Amazing Spiderman. Was actually pretty good!
  13. Some of you think entirely too much. The man is a drumming GOD. You really think he would mess up? His solos NOW differ from night to night because that's just how he is. I love how some of you think that being a little more improvisational is going to trip him up and cause a "train wreck". Sheesh.
  14. I wonder if I should break out my "All The Words" volumes 1 and 2...
  15. I wouldn't kick any of them out of bed for eating crackers.
  16. I had S&A on today and TM yesterday while I was cleaning and, yes, S&A was MUCH better.
  17. I listen to them just about everyday. They've spoiled me for other music.
  18. QUOTE (briremo @ Aug 15 2012, 09:22 PM) How long do you usually run for? I do between 3 and 6 miles usually. I love to run to CA because the BPM is pretty consistent and each song pushes me however my Foo Fighters playlist may soon be back in rotation. I really love this album. But I usually only listen when I can hear the whole thing or the majority of it. Training to get back to 3 miles a day. Once I started back to work last September I got out of the habit and now I'm doing couch to 5k weeks (two weeks a day) until I find a week that challenges me. I did weeks one and two this evening. Two and three tomorrow night. I have a month until I run a 5k with my church group for Veterans.
  19. QUOTE (Sheldon Cooper @ Aug 15 2012, 08:58 PM) Yeah maybe, but The Garden sucks. Boooooo! That's my cool down!
  20. (exercise) This album ROCKS during a good run! There's a driving beat throughout...makes me work hard on my run. Sure, you can't dance to anything they perform, but I sure do love working out to their music.
