  1. It was a great show, but this tour is really taking its toll on them. They are giving it their all, but I've seen them age just in a matter of months. You really have to be in awe of their effort. I think it's their last tour.
  2. We got 7cog, Bravado, Manhattan Project. Whoever came up with the a,a1,b formula is spot on.
  3. If we get Bravado and 7cog tomorrow night, I may have a heart attack.
  4. I heard "Southern Man" this morning, on Slacker, and it made me wonder if it was controversial, or not, when it came out. Can any of you guys shed light on this AND the general mood of Southerners towards rock n roll, in general, during the 60s and 70s in the south. Thx.
  5. Rammstein rules! I don't understand a lick of German, but, apparently, their lyrics are a play on the German language, in the song DU HAST.
  6. I think if people actually took the time to think about what life would be like, on a daily basis, with people running up to you and going berzerk, and bowing down, and making fools of themselves, at random parts of the day, every day, it would be enough to drive a rational man insane. Only a psychopath would love that. It would really get irritating when you were simply trying to enjoy a meal or other activity. I'm thankful Neil doesn't want stalkers.
  7. I guess Neil is in the GSMNP, this morning, and will probably hike the AT today, or some other trails in the area, or ride the Blue Ridge Parkway, or US 129.
  8. You sound like a chick that wouldn't mind putting on some hiking boots and a backpack and hiking a trail for a few days!!
  9. My wife has back problems and has to sit more than she stands. She would love to stand, but can't, all the time. For that reason, AND for the courtesy of others, I didn't get floor seats, this time. But, nobody better tell me to sit down!!!
  10. The most obvious reason is because the music isn't about who is screwing whom and getting high as hell and all the other crap that virtually all other music is about, particularly that of the pop and country genres, which are, BTW, crap genres that shouldn't even be taken seriously any more. IMHO, the real reason is this, and would like to know if any females agree with this theory: I don't know about other guys, but it is hard for me to communicate my real feelings to other people. I will tell my family members that I love them, but, rarely is there any emotion to it. Rush does this for us. If I can get my wife to listen to Rush, for example, she knows how I feel about shit, without me having to be awkward in telling her, or not telling her at all. THIS is the reason that Rush is so important to male listeners, IMHO.
  11. When we saw them in Atlanta, last year, Neil got a slow start on Subdivisions...he tried to throw the sticks up in the air a couple of times and dropped them, on the way back down, but, it was no big deal. I figured he had been hiking on the AT, all day, and was probably a little tired!!!!!!
  12. AWESOME!!!!!! Especially the ones with the different colour lights.
  13. Aw man, look at that Avatar....it's got to be Wisconsin or Missouri, somewhere, because that is the only states that I have been to that use letters for county roads. I think it looks like Wisconsin...AWESOME!!!!!
  14. That show is before Raleigh, so you'll get to hear 7cog, bravado, the manhattan project.
  15. That means that we'll get that same setlist in Raleigh. Dang, I was hoping to hear 7cog and Bravado(one of my favorites), again, but, oh well, it still kicks ass, especially dreamline.
  16. I believe the song "Pinball Wizard" is the only place I have ever heard that word actually spoken...lol
  17. praxaeology, or however it's spelled in Mises' books!
  18. If Neil and/or any other members of Rush, or anyone else in Rock n' Roll, or in athletics, or, in any endeavor in life, inspire you, does anything else about them matter? I tried to warn my wife about this very thing, because she loves country music; lo and behold, while Bush was POTUS, several of the country music artists turn out to be Democrats, or say something bad about Bush, and she wanted to disown them. The fact of the matter is, very few people would know these guys outside of the limelight, so if they inspired you by perfecting their trade, then their personal life shouldn't matter. I know NP's personal life is interesting, and I know he blog's about it on his website, but you gotta let things slide and have a little empathy, I guess.
  19. I had a pretty rough night, last night, so I've drank two cups of coffee, today, to take the edge off; but that's still a lot less calories than soda. I figured I was consuming 100 oz. of soda, per day, so that's anywhere from 1200 to 1700 calories, per day, depending on whether it was Coke or Mountain Dew. That's a pound every two days, that I hope to lose. Also, I am quitting rice, pasta, potatoes, bread, and everything that is processed. Only veggies and meat from now on. I am going to Wal-mart today, to buy a 12v cooler, for the truck, and stock it with only veggies, and eat salads on the truck, all week, instead of fast-food. No more fast-food for me, either. I am really starting to become conscious of what I am eating..... .....thanks a lot Alex Jones!?!?!??!?!?!!?!?!?!!?!
  20. ....yes, because all musical lyrics should be about partying as hard as possible, who's screwing who, and who's cheating on who, etc., etc., etc....to hell with actually thinking about the purpose of life, etc.
  21. Mara, you have inspired me to quit drinking sodas. I've gone a day and a half, now, without any soda...I hope it gets easier. I have been addicted to this since I was a kid, getting severe headaches, if I don't get a fix every few hours. I quit for 6 months, one time, but started back. I plan on quitting for good, now. I am tired of riding the sugar/caffeine roller coaster every day and to hell with headaches. It's amazing how calm my body is after just a day and a half, even though my mind is playing tricks on me. Anyways, thanks for setting an example!!!!!
  22. Would've been cool if it was a link to SOCN on this forum....a real barrel of laughs!
  23. The fact that they've stayed together and toured so heavily, like all the other great bands, probably has the most to do with it.
