  1. QUOTE (The Mighty Dudad @ Sep 11 2012, 08:58 PM) Just saw something at RIAB that said they played 7 Cities. If true, then that's a mix of A and B played tonight. Awesome! Glad that they're mixing it up a bit! Doubt we'll get BU2B though, it's not credited in the tourbook. http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/rush/2012/co...pa-bddad3a.html Looks like they replaced Wish Them Well with Seven Cities...I can't complain.
  2. Cool...but he used the word auspicious wrong.
  3. Frigging unbelievable that he still plays like he does at his age. I really do believe he is superhuman sometimes... TO THE PROFESSOR!
  4. QUOTE (Snaked @ Sep 11 2012, 04:21 PM) QUOTE (rushbabe @ Sep 11 2012, 04:50 PM) Where's My Thing...take it off plz Absolutely NOT
  5. Carnies by far. Still my second fave off of CA.
  6. If JL was in the equation, they would have surely played it at every show so far. I do think there are a couple of songs that can still make it into the mix. A-B-A-B-A-B is a bit too straightforward isn't it? But maybe that will be the case due to the string octet now being a factor.
  7. QUOTE (Tombstone Mountain @ Sep 11 2012, 10:21 AM) QUOTE (Alchemical @ Sep 11 2012, 10:19 AM) QUOTE (Snaked @ Sep 11 2012, 10:17 AM) Would you like some cheese with that whine? Depends, what kinda cheese do you have? Did your parents ever have the "life isn't fair" talk with you? Most definitely, they didn't mention that I would not get to hear 2112 on October 30, 2012 in Charlotte, NC though!

  9. The simple fact that setlist B contains 2112 (Overture, Temples of Syrinx, AND GRAND FINALE!), essentially a 9 minute song, over a 5 minute TSoR on setlist A is completely unfair. In fact, set B, by my calculation is about 5 minutes longer (7CoG is 1.5m longer than Carnies) than set A. Unfair much? Look, I love the sets, but to make it more fair I would amend it like this... Subdivisions The Big Money Force Ten Grand Designs The Body Electric/Middletown Dreams Territories The Analog Kid Bravado/The Pass Where's My Thing? Far Cry Caravan Clockwork Angels The Anarchist Carnies Seven Cities of Gold The Wreckers Headlong Flight Halo Effect The Garden Manhattan Project/Dreamline Red Sector A YYZ 2112 (Overture/Temples of Syrinx/Grand Finale) Limelight/The Spirit of Radio La Villa Strangiato/Natural Science Tom Sawyer I'd say both sets are more balanced this way. It's only fair! Everyone should get to hear most of 2112, not just every other city on the tour! What say you?
  10. I don't get the hate. BU2B is an amazing song and I'd take hearing it again this tour over hearing Wish Them Well for the first time, to be honest.
  11. QUOTE (drbirdsong @ Sep 10 2012, 05:11 PM) QUOTE (smsterner94 @ Sep 10 2012, 12:23 PM) Well I was born in the middle of the Counterparts tour so I guess that's my album. Hey, I was at that show. For a moment I heard a lady screaming louder than Geddy and suddenly a wet bloody baby flew by doing this: It was the best show ever.
  12. QUOTE (kentpilot @ Sep 10 2012, 01:23 PM) CD 1 in FLAC is up on PIRATE BAY i've added loads to soundcloud as well http://thepiratebay.se/torrent/7620281 there is CD 1! finishing it up on another site to for people who don't like torrents I'm seeding it for weeks please seed the CD The torrent is gone.
  13. Aw c'mon you guys. The bass is a beautiful instrument. I'd love a Geddy solo! I can't be alone on this, right?
  14. For those who have been to a show so far this tour, would you say the videos are improved? Or are they cheesier than ever? I don't mind cheesiness as long as the videos don't exceed 3-4 minutes tops.
  15. QUOTE (LeaveMyThingAlone @ Sep 10 2012, 08:55 AM) Geddy Lee's 5 favorite Rush albums: 1. Power Windows 2. Roll the Bones 3. Moving Pictures 4. Snakes and Arrows 5. 2112 Pretty sure CA has eclipsed S&A at least. They love it.
  16. I'm starting to like setlist B more and more...too bad Charlotte is probably getting setlist A.
  17. QUOTE (Snaked @ Sep 8 2012, 10:27 PM) This band has well over 170 songs in their catalog and each and every one of them is a personal favorite for SOMEBODY. There is somebody out there who LOVES Stupidconductor. There is somebody out there who LOVES You Bet Your Life There is somebody out there who LOVES Dog Years and Virtuality. Point me in their direction so I can slap them.
  18. QUOTE (Bangster of Goats @ Sep 9 2012, 10:03 PM) At least they're not bringing back Roll the Bones. Seeing that damned rapping skeleton again would send me right over the edge dammit. I have to admit that's a guilty pleasure of mine.
  19. QUOTE (losingit2k @ Sep 9 2012, 10:25 PM) QUOTE (Powderfinger @ Sep 9 2012, 10:15 PM) QUOTE (LeaveMyThingAlone @ Sep 9 2012, 10:06 PM) I am torn. Why oh why would they replace Carnies of all songs?!?! Of the changes I prefer: The Body Electric to Middletown Dreams (A) Bravado to The Pass (A) Dreamline to Manhattan Project setlist b Carnies to Seven Cities (A) 2112 to Spirit setlist b The best change is Dreamline and 2112, so I'd probably prefer B By the way, what the hell happened to Limelight? That's so weird that it would be scratched out. I can't believe they're not playing it. It's their best IMO Yes, I'm really surprised they didn't just leave Limelight in the setlist A encore. The TS/2112 encore is several minutes longer than the TS/TSoR encore. Why not put Limelight in encore A to make it a comparable length? There are many strange decisions being made as you pointed out. Why did they drop Limelight from the encore? Why didn't they include Losing it or Nobody's Hero on this Tour? Why not Change out Wish Them Well instead of Carnies? Why not drop Wokring Man and Replace with 2112/Temples/Finale and leave the encore as is? There are gems on both set list. Those of us that are only able to attend one show will feel cheated somehow either way. 1. Time constraints? They got bored of playing it? 2. Thematically neither align well with the tour. Losing It is a bit of a downer song, at this point in their career I don't think they are interested in playing it. It may never get played. 3. Maybe they like Wish Them Well more? This one is the most confusing for me. 4. They LOVE Working Man. No other reason.
