  1. About 1978 or so, maybe sooner than that. All magazines want to sell copies and thanks to the controversy they will sell some of these. I haven't read one that wasn't sitting in a waiting room somewhere since the 90s. Sad, but true. It is a ploy to sensationalize and sell more magazines. I think that is thing that has people pissed off the most in New England. Personally, I have no problem with an article that addresses how a seemingly normal teenage kid became so perverse in his thinking and actions. I find the cover to be in poor taste and disrespectful to those who've had their lives taken or changed forever due to this punk's cowardly act. The feeling from several I have spoken with is that it feels like a giant FU to Boston from RS magazine. Fine, when we're talking about a band (luckily, no bands that I love meet that criteria :eyeroll: :sigh: ) ... it's just Rolling Stone being Rolling Stone, to morph a local catchphrase. JMO.
  2. Happy Birthday, Tony! I hope you have a fabulous day! :yay: :cheerleader:  :hail:
  3. Now that's more like it! :haz: Great photo! :)
  4. :LMAO: 5 star, JB! Excellent! http://www.thescifiworld.net/img/smilies/galactica/cylon/cylon_newanime006.gif
  5. I didn't respond! I did it, I did it! Oh, no, wait ...
  6. Its been a while since I've bumped .... er .... :bump:
  7. Some could argue this is definitely your wife since the distance between you is a dead give away ;) Great photo, RA! :)
  8. Great looking family! You must be very proud, and deservedly so. Thanks for sharing, umoveme! :)
  9. Happy Anni, RushCanuck! :yay:  :hail: :dweez: for a fellow Blue Jays fan
  10. Happy Birthday, Amy Farrah Fowler! I hope you have a wonderful Rush filled day! :yay:  :hail: :cheerleader: :dweez: :hi: :rush:
  11. I PM'ed you my bank account number. Unfortunately the funds are located in Cygnus X-1 and you'll need to collect in person. ;) CygnusX-1? I know it well. Can I just use the key you've left under the mat? http://www.thescifiworld.net/img/smilies/galactica/cylon/cylon-pancarte01.gif
  12. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XVJ9Z3Js7Ww :rfl: It's basically a diseased face of friendship! Don't think about germs now, that anolgy is over. :LMAO: Thanks, YL
  13. Tough one, hobo, but I think you and your husband did the right thing. In my experience, doing to the right thing can be very, very uncomfortable but it is still required to be done. I hope that your daughter really doesn't "get" what happened and if she did, I hope it isn't too hard on her. She has two parents who love her very much and she is a lucky little girl in that regard.
  14. Good advice, USB. Anything you post, even here on TRF, is indelible. Be very careful with privacy settings and what you allow the world to see. The internets (sic) are just like the real world except with a global voice. Lots of interesting topics and things to look at, but there is a very dark underside and one must take extra care to protect oneself. Which remind me, I recently got caught in a financial bind. You see, I'm a Nigerian princess and I have to have left my country because it is instable. I have millions of dollars in the bank that I can't move due to the governement. If you could send me a small donation, I will repay you 1000x (and include a free order of viagra and a pizza), I just need your name, address, date of birth, social security number, bank routing and account number and I can be helped! Please pray for me, I worry each day about my safety. And i am So thankful for the generosity and kindness of people like you. ;) And, if anyone actually supplies any true information to the above request, I *will* send the Cylons after you ... :tsk: BTW, what's a facebook and why do I need one?
  15. Great pics, goose! I'll just use this one for this post, but I like all off them. You both look so happy! It must have been a wonderful trip and a true joy to spend the time with your daughter. She looks like she has a great sense of humour and the trip must have been lots of fun for both of you. :)
  16. You look like you're ready to pop a gasket. :D Great pic! Congrats on the M and G! I hope it went well. It certainly appears so. :)
  17. You're the one winking at us? Oh, no, you're the one in the cap with the facial hair. No wait, hey, are you old enough to be drinking that beer? ;) Nice picture billybobjoe1881. :) :rush: :haz: I hope you've made it through the Alberta floods and storms without any problems. Crazy weather out there this year.
  18. Happy Anni, treeduck! :yay: :haz: :guitar:  :hail: :dweez:http://www.thescifiworld.net/img/smilies/galactica/cylon/cylon002.gif
  19. I performed an extensive cost/benefit analysis regarding the merits of responding. After careful consideration, *not* responding to this thread has been deemed the most appropriate course of action. I have a poor time following directions ... so I responded ...
  20. Family. Ottawa is a beautiful city with an enormous variety of activities. I always love visiting.
  21. Nothing. I back off. If someone insists on driving like an a-hole, fine, just not around me. I've had some pretty crazy things happen and no good has ever come of confrontation and it really isn't worth the high price of retribution. Its only a car. Please don't try to kill me and I won't try to kill you. If you try, I'll drive more defensively and back down. Promise.
  22. I think that is so cool! http://www.thescifiworld.net/img/smilies/galactica/cylon/cylon002.gif I saw a shirt in Ottawa that had "World Tour" on it and listed all of the different countries. I may get one of those from the Backstage Club. :hi:
  23. Probably Manchester, NH. It was the first time and when they played The Body Electric, I went *crazy*. In fact, I loved the whole set. Uncasville, CT sounded the best I think. Bluesfest was a fun night. I can't believe I paid CDN$9 for a cold and so-so falafel. Good sized crowd though and I met some really nice folks. :)
  24. I'm so glad you and your dad are getting to know one another again. I won't ask what happened as I wish to respect that. I was born into Rush. My daddy listened to them when I was a baby. Last Rush concert I went to, I took my boyfriend and my Dad. I got to meet Ya Big Tree in the parking lot before we took the shuttle down! Thanks! :) It was awesome! Dad liked the show, but he really doesn't "get" the music. Fine by me, I just loved spending time with him. Tired today, recovering from a long drive (900 miles round trip) and back to a busy day today. :sigh:
