  1. Bumping the thread for Edna. :(
  2. Since no one above me bothered to respond - I thought I saw a small response and a shadow, though I'm not sure - I'll take this opportunity to respondez (I've been eating french bread lately)
  3. I've seen Bruce in concert four times, first in 1984. He puts on one of the greatest shows I have ever seen. The energy of Bruce and the E-Street Band is amazing. They play for three or four hours non-stop, no intermission. They play requests. Requests! :o They still carry the work ethos of a bar band. The band is dynamic and energetic and Bruce is a masterful storyteller. My favourite albums are the first four. I think Thunder Road has some of the greatest lyrics ever penned (The screen door slams, Mary's dress waves...). Stellar. http://www.thescifiworld.net/img/smilies/galactica/cylon/cylon002.gif
  4. :LMAO: http://www.thescifiworld.net/img/smilies/galactica/cylon/cylon_newanime006.gif
  5. I fell asleep at 11:30 tied at 4. I was quite surprised to see the results this morning. Wow. :o I've watched it many times at real speed and in slow motion. I think it was the right call. This may take quite a bit of wind out of Boston's sails. Tonight should be interesting. Boston will either be very aggressive or very flat. Go Cards! :madra: Let's keep the series from going back to Boston! :cheerleader:
  6. Damn, I missed the window. Maybe if I just slip this post in here, no one will notice...
  7. It should be noted that those are cheese curds (mmm...squeaky cheese). The french fries are crisp and the gravy is brown. The best places to get poutine are usually at a chip truck. There's one in Ottawa that we go to when we're in town and it is consistently wonderful.
  8. I bought a bottle of Bertman's on a road trip through Ohio many years ago and thought that it was very good. Very flavourful. http://cdn.mustardmuseum.com/images/uploads/185_1421_large.jpg
  9. Correct. And, it is phenomenal. But, only if you like cheese. And french fries. And gravy. If you don't like those three things, you probably wouldn't like poutine. Hand of God or a heart attack in a bowl. Poutine is rare treat. :hi:
  10. Yes, quite crafty. :) :o Since greyfriar won this thread, I'm not going to respond. What you have just read is not a response because I asked it politely to not be one and it has graciously agreed.
  11. I am grateful for the quality of service provided by the YBG. Truly, the finest source of news with an interesting, frost bitten Yukon perspective. But, their IT department needs some assistance and I'm happy to help. I fixed your link for you. ;) www.rollingstone.com/reviews/welivtofukwithrush/YukonBladeGrinder
  12. This is a loose reference to the imitation of the pretend non-response mentioned above. It does not constitute a response.
  13. This post is a response...damn...wrong thread... Damn typos.
  14. I see your non-response, and raise you a non-quote Hold on...I have a non-quote in my extra purse... I'll see your non-quote and raise you an irrelevant fact.
  15. I have a co-worker who is chomping at the bit to play. He works and games with the guy who played Turkey in the last game. I don't anticipate any quixotic quests from them as they are both good strategists and gamers, so that's two if we want. If we can get one more, we'll be all set. I'm unavailable most of today (and the game site is down for maintenance Tuesday-Wednesday). Should we start now or begin after the maintenance window?
  16. non-response recorded
  17. Hey, look what I found! :bump:
  18. Happy Birthday, 1 of the 7! I hope you had a great day! :) :cheerleader: :)
  19. Happy Birthday, Reb! I hope everything is going well for you and that you have a wonderful day, my friend! :)
  20. Yes, Peter Gabriel, DP and Ronstadt are all overdue, imo. I suspect Nirvana will get the nod since they have had an enormous impact on music. Will Geddy, Alex and Neil induct Dave and Kris? Rush will not shower, dress in wool sweaters and stare at their shoes while playing "Smells Like Teen Spirit".
  21. A serious article from the YBG??? I'm shocked, shocked I say! :o I hope this doesn't ruin the brand's reputation. ;) Thanks for the article, TM.
  22. For me: Rivendell (I heard they fell asleep while recordi... ) Chemistry (but it has great songs on either side of it) Lock and Key (boring to, and into, my ear) Carve Away The Stone (this song really doesn't go anywhere) Test For Echo (Rush at one of their lyrical low points) Your mileage may vary.
  23. Not to be rude, but how does a Rush fan, who posts on a Rush forum, not have Vapor Trails Remixed yet? It blows my mind! One who hasn't got around to it yet! I guess there are really different levels of Rush fans. Personally, since 1984, I had to have every new album the moment it came out! Well it's not really me not getting around to it actually, it's amazon who haven't sent it yet. All I can do is wait it out. :hail: you Rush fraud. Yeah, treeduck if you were a *real* fan you'd swim (or paddle, as appropriate for a duck) the pond to pick up a copy. ;) I'll help you out though. Swim as far as Newfoundland and I'll meet you there. Good rum, too. :madra: ETA: I voted CA over any VT. CA is my favourite Rush album.
  24. Happy Birthday, Pags! :cheerleader: I hope you have a great day! :)
  25. Yes, I think so.
