  1. NO :finbar: YES! What else are you going to do? Sit home and watch TV? The ticket prices aren't bad. Go see Yes! Nah, I decided against it. They're 100 miles away, cost $70 and don't even have Jon Anderson. I'll pass for now.
  2. I do enjoy Imagine, Plastic Ono Band, and Double Fantasy but compared to Paul and George, Lennon is far behind. Though it is a bit unfair that I can count their solo careers after 1980. The stuff McCartney has put out since 2001 has been amazing, it rivals anything else he's put out since the Beatles. Harrison holds my favorite post Beatle solo album with All Things Must Pass. Then released his second best work while fighting cancer with Brainwashed.
  3. The other Beatles had much better songs. Other than Ringo, he and John were equal to each other
  4. I heard Cristina Scabbia in The Theory of Everything and she was good in that. Though I don't dig Lucna Coil much
  5. Ventilator Blues is one of my all time favorite Stones songs
  6. Spirit and Led Zeppelin played together in the late 60's. It's very possible that Page did hear that song
  7. Surprised they didn't go after Zeppelin sooner. It isn't the first time they got shit for "borrowing" elements of someone else's song.
  8. I voted that they're about even now. The new Vapor Trail remix grew on me a bit after this poll. So I changed my vote. I like both a lot
  9. I got to see Royal Thunder in August last year. Really good show
  10. To my knowledge, he's worked with Paul McCartney, Tom Petty (Petty offered him a place in the Heartbreakers when he fired his drummer and before Dave started Foo Fighters), The Rolling Stones, Jimmy Page & John Paul Jones, Rush, Queen, Elton John (On a ...Like Clockwork), Bruce Springsteen, Steven Tyler. Who hasn't he worked with by now?
  11. A band I've really fallen in love with this last year are the Truckfighters. Really awesome fuzz rock. If you like Queens of the Stone Age, you'll probably like them http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TwmFMgYlWSs http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JLMPA4xPFpg
  12. The song "Montana" is one of my all time faves by him
  13. He's basically his own genre. It depends on the sort of stuff do you like. If you like Steve Vai, check out his song "Watermelon in Easter Hay". It's a fantastic instrumental. His albums, Hot Rats, Joe's Garage, & Apostrophe are great starting points.
  14. I'm gonna have to skip it. I'll be in Vancouver then
  15. "Watching your bastard die gave me more relief than a thousand lying whores" *Drops the mic*
  16. I didn't like it much either but hey it's original material from a member of Rush
  17. http://exclaim.ca/News/keram_unveils_come_to_life_premieres_11-minute_epic_with_rushs_alex_lifeson Scroll to the bottom to listen to it. There are 2 others on the album
  18. Really? I am not impressed by this answer. Katatonia are truly brilliant! What next? Porcupine Tree? Anathema? Paradise Lost? THE SPICE GIRLS??? What is this world coming to? Actually now that I think about it, I was never really embarrassed to be a Katatonia fan. I do feel embarrassed about bands I used to like like Finger Eleven and Three Doors Down and Korn and Killswitch Engage and Breaking Benjamin and Green Day. But I was younger then so I don't really care now
  19. And the Devin Townsend Project has a new album coming out next week
  20. Won't affect me that much as well. There's plenty of albums this year I still need to check out. It's not been cancelled guys, August will soon be here... I know, and several albums come out before August so that'll keep me busy
  21. With all the other albums coming out this year, it won't affect me too much if this bombs.
  22. Rush - Power Windows Yes - Close to the Edge Genesis - Genesis Paul McCartney - Ram George Harrison - All Things Must Pass Steven Wilson - The Raven That Refused To Sing (And Other Stories) Devin Townsend - Terria Alice in Chains - The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here Porcupine Tree - Deadwing King Crimson - Red
  23. This is another great one. The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Johnny Cash, and I think Ted Nugent
  24. does the deluxe edition come with a cod piece? sign me up! http://media.giphy.com/media/3qgSQVx6FrwEo/giphy.gif
