  1. Has anybody heard of My Morning Jacket? I saw an episode of American Dad devoted to the band. They seem to have a pretty cool sound.
  2. Also, The Army of Darkness has pretty rad theme song
  3. Man for some reason I've had the Super Man theme song running through my head all week. I haven't seen that movie since I was a young lad. Just wondering what some of you all's favorite movie soundtracks. It could be anywhere from Danny Elfman to John Williams. I'd have to say my favorite sound tracks are: The Good, the bad, and the ugly Jurassic Park Rocky IV Indiana Jones
  4. 1) Headlong Flight 2) The Garden 3) Far Cry 4) Anarchist 5) Armour and Sword Honorable mention : Clockwork Angles
  5. That so called "drum solo" part in Tom Sawyer. :D :D
  6. It's gotta be that 'Ding' in Hemispheres! That's the greatest single summation of all the notes of all the Rush Songs. It's perfect, it fits well. I love it!
  7. This is funny. Reading this thread I was like this is old news, and then I realized it is an old thread. Then I saw someone posted like 'I'll give 16 months'
  8. Meh, If this disc where to have the full Live Hemispheres suite, then I'd think about buying it. I've heard so many awesome stories from fans at those times who got to here those songs live. For newer (younger) fans like me, it sucks so hard I'll never get to hear Hemisphere live.
  9. What the hell does this have to do with RUSH? Aren't the threads in this area suppose to be about RUSH? If you wan to bitch about other members post it in random samples place.
  10. 1) Angry young man - Styx 2) Time - Pink Floyd 3) Freewill - RUSH 4) I can see for Miles - The Who 5) Halo Effect - RUSH 6) The Song Is Over - The Who
  11. Does anyone know how to view the list? All I see are a bunch of comments filled with hashtags and other symbols
  12. This a pretty sweet toopic. I'm just amazed about how many of those songs I said, "That's the greatest album opener ever!" Anyway I went with 2112 Overture. That song I think is like the opener to a more mature and higher quatily Rush than the previous albums. And boy do the boys shine one that. The drums, the bass, the guitar, man that guitar is awesome!
  13. Never bought or cared to listen to the album. It'd be cool to hear them whip out a cover in concert. I think that would neat and rockin. But, listening to them put a "spin" on songs I already heard from artists I like...meh
  14. http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/518ZJ5RMJHL._SX300_.jpg Man, this was serious jam at the time for me!
  15. I've been in a bit a of Who kick lately. This past sat I listened to all Who songs I had while building a tent. It was awesome!
  16. This has some cool insight on the song and breakdown of the numbers. http://www.songfacts.com/detail.php?id=3308 The one i get a kick out is 1001001 spells out "egg" in morse code. Seems interesting
  17. The best explanation of prog rock ever: http://www.cracked.com/funny-2359-progressive-rock/
  18. Don't get me wrong, I like the boss. But, a buddy of mine pointed out, every picture of him looks like he's constipated. I kinda agree
  19. Haha, I love Grand Funk. Reminds me of Homer Simpson's explanation of BTO: "That's BTO, Canada's answer to ELP, with their hit song TCB. That's how we talked in the 70's, we didn't have a momement to spare." And also his explanation of Grand Funk: "You kids don't know Grand Funk? The wild shirtless lyrics of Mark Farner? The bong-rattling bass of Mel Schacher? The competent drumwork of Don Brewer? Oh, man!"
  20. Man, I can't believe this happened. http://www.wwe.com/inside/ultimate-warrior-passes-away-26223975
  21. I kind of felt AFTK had a good theme running throughout it. "Mankind's drive to leave a legacy" 1) AFTK (title track) - how the future world will look at us 2) XANADU - one man's drive for fame and fortune, leaves him locked as a prisoner of his own quest 3) Closer to the heart - King's and comoners and artisians using their skills to leave a legacy for betterment of sociecity 4) Cindellra Man - A guy using his fortune for the betterment of sociecity 5) Madrigal - something about love. And love lasts forever. 6) Cygnus X-1 - Man's legacy, to be the first person to visit a black hole. Ends up completely removing himself from the Universe, inorder to create a legacy.
  22. Seeing your avatar and then "No." just made me burst out laughing
  23. I heard that song by Tal Bachman. Never new that was his son! Someone told me that Randy Bachman was a huge influence on Neil Young. Like Young looked up to Bachman's guitar playing in high school. Does anyone know any truth to that?
  24. I've been listening to some BTO lately. I only know five songs by the boys, but they'e awesome. "Let it Ride" "TCB" "Hey You" "You aint seen nuttin yet" "Roll on down the highway" I love the raw and gruff power in their voices and guitar playing. I kind of think of them as "The Canadian ZZTop" Want to know what are some albums or songs to look into. And if there are any fans of the band. Or if anybody's got any stories about them.
  25. I especially love the one part of the song where it goes all like "BRAGGHHH" And then, And then he goes all like "CRAWWWSSHHH" And then the other guy goes like "SoooWeeeesssH :D-13: And then "BRGRGGRGRGRGRRGRG" :bang bang: And then "BOOOOOMM", "CRWASHH", "CRACH, CRACH< CRAH" :Neil: :madra: What's that song? "Rivendell"? Yeah, that's my jam.
