  2. QUOTE (Hatchetaxe&saw @ May 27 2011, 08:40 AM) QUOTE (Cosy Toes @ May 26 2011, 10:36 PM) A man called Michael is now heading your way with a Glock. Be afraid, be very afraid. Oh..........a Glock, I thought you said "c...". Yes matron, I'm putting it away now. Nah, Mosbach doesn't have a cock, that's why he's tooled up with a shooter...
  3. QUOTE (Tony R @ May 26 2011, 11:21 PM) Brian Robertson's Wild Horses supported Rush at Bingley didn't they? Wild Horses supported Rush at Bingley in 1979. They were shite - Wild Horses not Rush. Rush were still good back then. That's what daddy tells me...
  4. It's about Brian Walden presenting a current affairs programme on a Sunday Lunchtime.

  6. QUOTE (Gentle Giant @ May 26 2011, 09:13 PM) I also felt the use of the back projections were inconsistent, with some songs featuring some or no back projections. OMFG!!!!!!!!!!! Even Curmudgeonmeistergeneral Nickslikk2112 wouldn't moan about that!!!!!
  7. QUOTE (s_b_g @ May 26 2011, 09:09 PM) QUOTE (Cosy Toes @ May 26 2011, 04:53 AM) QUOTE (Gilby @ May 25 2011, 09:54 PM) ... but there seems to be talk about Rush doing some UK festivals to promote the new album. (woohoo) Yeah promote the new album - which will most likely be shit - at a festival where half the peeps there couldn't give a shit about the headliners. Way to go. while i know i should not bother myself with this kind of pathetic shit ... i will but i will limit it to ... anyone who feels the need to post deliberately antagonistic posts on any fan site in this manner is a f***ing loser by any definition of the word - but please feel free to keep wasting your pathetic life doing so if it makes you feel good ... But the new album most probably will be shit - guide the future by the past - and a Festival is no place to play your latest material. Festival crowds want the HITS. Magnum fell on their arses at HV last year, because they played lots of new stuff and not enough old stuff. Mummy say so. You're the antagonistic one calling me a "f***ing Loser" you'll be sorry when I get my D&D mates out of their basement to come and give you a good going over sunshine. And please capitalise "i" when referring to yourself and please capitalise the beginning words of your sentences. Don't start your sentences with "But" either. Thank You.
  8. QUOTE (Alvy Singer @ May 26 2011, 01:03 PM) Sorry, but this is terrible news if true. Rush are an arena band, they've said so themselves many times. I remember in the 80s when they were linked with Donington every year but it never happened. Who wants to trudge all the way to London to see Rush 3mm high from the back of a muddy field? Fingers crossed for an arena tour. Amen Bro. If Rush play festivals then it will be the last nail in their integrity coffin. Not that HV will be muddy. It's in Larndan.

    Signals

Were you born when Signals came out? The answer appears to be "no". At the time Signals was a schismatic album. So what? What does it matter to you 30 years down the line? FWIW it was Moving Pictures that was the big let down. Jeez, how could a band that had recorded the mighty HEMISPHERES release such a pander to the masses blatantly commercial releases AT least that's what daddy tells me...
  10. Vic Reeve's Big Night Out The Smell of Reeves and Mortimer Bag, Bang it's Reeves and Mortimer Catterick Father Ted

  22. QUOTE (AJ71 @ May 23 2011, 12:19 PM) QUOTE (StuartBruce @ May 23 2011, 06:51 AM) Well I thought the guys just ripped it up last night. Maybe you need to be in the floor sections to appreciate it, but they nailed just about every song. I was really impressed at how powerful Presto was and Far Cry rocked the joint. Not sure how you judge classics, but if you want Rush to become a sorry tribute to themselves like AC/DC, Metallica etc then forget it, they are to proud. Moving Pictures was just so sweet from top to bottom. Er, I judge classics by them being classics! Not average fodder like Presto, Marathon, Time Stand Still, Stick It Out, Faithless, Leave That Thing Alone ... and the two new ones. They're not 'shit', but you'd have to be crazy to try and convince me the band don't have better songs they could play As for AC/DC being a 'sorry tribute' ... You can leave Marathon out of that list, surprisingly I thought it to be just about the best bit of the show. But yes, there were a lot of non-classic songs performed. And like AC/DC, Metallica aren't a sorry tribute to themselves. They came back with a storming - if not classic - album after the worst album of their career, something Rush didn't manage, plus Metallica shake up their setlists so you never know exactly what you're going to get.
  23. It'd be a lot better birthday if you were English.
