Rush is too classy to not show up like I want, so I could see them using Tom Cochrane. He inducted them into something a while back (Canadian HOF maybe???) I wouldn't be shocked to see the I Love You Man guys back. It might be fun if it was Animal.

It's funny you say this. I have had a similar experience with the last few albums, I listen to them and think, Oh no, I don't really like this. Then after 5 - 10 listens it hits me. On S&A I just couldn't understand what the fuss was over Workin Them Angels. It just didn't sound good to me. Then about 6 months later it suddenly was my favorite song from the album. I haven't gotten enough real good listens to CA yet, but I do like it so far, there are a couple of songs that will take a little time to grow in me.

So I guess the answer for Rush is to simply stop touring and recording. That would solve all these problems. Of course, then you would just bitch that they still have another great album in them and they are selfishly keeping it away from their fans. Have you seen the ticket prices for comparable acts? Van Halen is selling tickets for $100 in the area Rush charged $60. I paid $100 per ticket for each of the last 4 Rush shows I went to and sat no worse then the 6th row.

I loved Geddy's line: "There are a lot of empty calories on the radio" So true... Yeah, that was my favorite line of the show.

I have to vote PW. As a Rush fan I'm a non-conformist. The popular choice would be MP, therefore I am forced to vote for PW. Plus, it has TSOR.

There were many prog bands before them. One being Yes who started many years before Rush, had more commercial success, and still never got in because there were prog bands around before them! A different form of prog of course, but it had already been started before Yes came around, like 6 years before Rush's first album came out, which wasnt even prog. Rush has ALWAYS been a band that did was others were doing, but just tried to do it better, and they often did, but that's not what the hall is looking for. Im not trying to defend them, but they have set rules. I said in the other thread I think and exception will be made for Rush someday, but I do understand why they arent in knowing what they base their selections on. I'm not sure I agree with this. If the hall only lets in those who pioneer trends in music most of the bands that are there shouldn't be. AC-DC, Fleetwood Mac, among others didn't do anything new or special. I'm nor saying they don't deserve to be there, I just don't see how the hall can induct them but not Rush. In all honesty, I hope they are never inducted. It's too late to not be an insult now. Or better yet, refuse the "honor", but they are too classy to do that.

Maples, Oaks... The shots of the guys on the wrong instruments were from a pre-recorded video - very funny. And not to be a dick or anything, but, MgCygnus, I was quite happy that security stepped in and sent people back to their seats. I was in the second row of section 5, pretty much directly behind where you and about 25 other people were crowding at the start of the show. I bought those seats because it meant only 1 row of people in front of me. Suddenly there was a large crowd of people there. If they wanted to be closer they should have bought better seats. I thought security did a great job of allowing people to walk up, snap a pic or two and then go back to their seat, which went on all concert long. They got their picture and we kept our view. As far as the show goes, it was as good as everyone else has already said. The stage props were fantastic, Neil's kit was gorgeous (loved the color), and the videos were the funniest yet, especially the one after the show with the I Love You Man characters. Are you sure it isn't Pee Art?

Janie, I received an email from music today Tuesday am alerting me to a pre sale. No citi card, just used my regular old debit card. I purchased my tickets thru them for the last tour also, so I guess I was on the mailing list. I wasn't expecting to be able to buy anything until Sat. so I was pleasantly surprised. I just went back to see what type of tickets were left, but it says that tickets available from them were sold out. Sorry that I didn't see your post earlier.
