Dan Marino had individual greatness. Yes, Trent Dilfer and Brad Johnson are examples of mediocre QBs playing for a Super Bowl winner. But still, Montana went to 4, Elway went to 5, Peyton went to 4, and Brady has gone to 6. Clearly, there's some correlation between a team's long term success and the quality of its QB. But Dan was a fantastic QB and very well could/should have won a super bowl.I can think of several reasons why I believe this to be true.
