I still have this 45 somewhere in the house.

This was so popular at our neighborhood slumber parties!  We all used to bring stacks of 45's, it was so much fun.  The station in Pgh was KQV, with Jim Quinn as the cool DJ.  He used to play that Manfred Mann song, "The Mighty Quinn" for himself!

I'm 45. Am I an old fart? My oldest brother had a tape player and this band. To this day this music takes me back to the days of listening to these songs endlessly

I had not even hit double digit age when this came out, but I vividly remember loving it ... I still do

Probably a Top 10 all time song for me

One song I've always loved that nobody ever seems to recall anymore is Across 110th Street, by Bobby Womack. I love that tune!

Some others...mainly in the soul category:

Bill Withers- Grandma's Hands
Rufus feat. Chaka Khan- Tell Me Something Good
Sly and the Family Stone- I Want to Take You Higher
Booker T. and the MG's- Green Onions
Gladys Knight & the Pips- Midnight Train to Georgia

The glory days of AM radio in the '60s are certainly a little before my time, but I know all of these songs you guys have posted (and Silly Love Songs, too, TM)...

Hmmm, what else...

Hey, who remembers the 13th Floor Elevators?
