Elsa Lanchester was ugly...

Harsh but eew.

Show a little respect, young man... :codger:

To be fair...she was my age in that movie!

Defining "goth" 50 years in advance...

I didnt say her look was ugly.

Just her face.

What's this, internet trolling circa 2001?

PS: all in good humor, Segue, I allowed myself one last shot.

There are tons of Divas from that era that I consider classic goddesses. Check out Ida Lupino for example.

Or every actresses that worked with Fritz Lang. But anyway, it might be "a thing" only for me.

Dawn Of The Dead (1978)

An amazing artistic achievment for its time, as well as a great movie in its own right, I still find myself longing for the running zombies of the 2004 remake. The remake absolutely freaks me out. The original? Gross, unsettling, curiously funny...not convincingly terrifying.

Sorry guys! That is my generation for ya!

Don't forget the makeup of the legendary Tom Savini.

Some of the makeup is dreadful.

Blue faces? And yet the skin is the normal colour?

And all zombies plod along slowly...except the two zombie children that move like sugared up brats.

Some of the acting is dire.

It is ponderously slow at times.

Brilliant? Yes it is!

I recommend the World War Z novel...it expands beyond even the films over the top scenarios!

They could make a fortune developing a WWZ franchise...

I have both of these: Gravity is rather atmospheric and World War Z has Peter Capaldi! :D

Ida Lupino certainly is gorgeous: I have her with Basil Rathbone in a Sherlock Holmes movie called The Adventures Of Sherlock Holmes (1939).

I adore Peter Cushing!

He's great in this too! He totally rules the action!

Chief of police: Do you expect us to believe all this childish rubbish sir? Do you take us for fools??

Cushing: YES!

I did hear that the novel blows the movie out of the water...

Men In Black 3

That movie was better than it had any right to be considering how awful 2 was. I even got a little teary eyed at the end and Brolin was hilarious as the young Agent K. Quite a pleasant surprise that movie was.

I thought it was pretty good too. Part two I agree it was pretty bad so I had hesitated about seeing part three.
