This is one of the best tips I have ever found- best of all it works perfectly! I can load images of Pam Andersons boobs in like 0.7 seconds now!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you are sick of waiting for index pages to load, this is really...yes really the best tip for ages. Print the text below and follow the instructions. If you do not use Firefox yet...you should.

http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/

12.23.2004 - LOAD PAGES AT THE SPEED OF SOUND (DSL / BROADBAND + FIREFOX BROWSER)

You will have to switch from Internet Explorer, to FIREFOX. Trust us, if you have DSL, or Broadband, this is the most amazing tweak you can find. Your browser will load the site so much faster, that you will never use Internet Explorer again! - Download and install Firefox. You can import all your bookmarks, and passwords easily, with a simple wizard.

- Type "about:config" into the address bar and hit return. Scroll down and look for the following entries:
network.http.pipelining
network.http.proxy.pipelining
network.http.pipelining.maxrequests
Normally the browser will make one request to a web page at a time. When you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which really speeds up page loading. - Alter the entries as follows:
Set "network.http.pipelining" to "true"
Set "network.http.proxy.pipelining" to "true"
Set "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" to some number like 30. This means it will make 30 requests at once.

- Lastly right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" and set its value to "0". This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it receives.

FASTEN YOUR SEATBELT, you've never seen a browser load this fast.

There's only one problem with using Firefox. Not all sites will accept it, therefore you have to use Internet Explorer.

I've never had this problem. confused13.gif

I've had it happen two or three times in the 7 months I've been using FF, so it doesn't happen often. It seems to happen mainly with financial websites from what I've experienced.

Man, I love this browser! The more I use it the more I like it. It is so customizable. You can make it what you want it to be, unlike IE.

Three cheers for Firefox cheer.gif common001.gif 1287.gif applaudit.gif new_thumbsupsmileyanim.gif trink39.gif 1022.gif

Tabs are cool! Works just like ALT+TAB on IE.

Damn, I just realized that you can drag addresses to just below the URL window and make shortcut buttons right there! Cool.

I also like that when it doesn't connect to a page it just gives an small window showing the error, instead of the IE white page of death.

I guess I need to play with this thing more and see what it can do that I don't realize.
