priest_of_syrinx
QUOTE (DustFerret @ Aug 19 2007, 09:54 AM) My favorite was the Wal. Me too. Second is Rickenbacker, then Fender, then Steinberger: wwwaaayyy back in last place.
jazzbass
Better how? Construction, playability, bang for the buck, road worthy, sound? Thats a very subjective question. Personally, I prefer passive single coils. That means Fenders and Ricks. I generally prefer a good jazz over a rick. I don't dislike Ricks, but I've come to favor playing a jazz. I would not throw a Rick away if it was given to me, but it would not be my first choice to reach for. The Wals and Stein's sound to artificial to me. I like my bass to have a bit more breating room. Counteparts has my favorite overall bass tone from Ged with his Jazz. MP is second. Counterparts sounds alittle less processed and raw.
