1974FAN
Tinkering around one day while I was going through my entire RUSH collection, I thought how it would be to list all their (studio) songs alphabetically. So...I started with "2112" and ended with "You Bet Your Life". Hey, you've got one hell of a mix there. So folks! Give it a try. Yeah it'll take a while to tape/burn, but I think you'll find it worth your while!

Pags
madra - same with me. I've got an MP3 player that I keep the entire Rush collection on - I have about 15 different song lists created for Rush alone. One of them being a chronological - every album and every track in order. Others being the Retrospectives - and another being Rush A-Z as listed here. It's awesome!!! The best part about the A-Z is that it is not time bound. The 90's mix with the 70's mix with today, etc. Very nice thread!
barney_rebel
I think I already mentioned it, but I have two MP3 CDs in my car, both at 192kbps CD 1 Rush 1974-1981 (478MB) CD 2 Rush 1982-2004 (650+MB) All there minus all thew live albums. Fits fine that way - takes less rooms and I don't have to worry about my CDs getting stolen from my car.

Moonraker
sure its a word. I find ways to use it in my vocabulary all the time. For instance. "I was trying to figure out this problem on a test, and BAM, just like a YYZ to the brain I figured it out" "Oh crappo, that stoopid cat took another YYZ right in the middle of the bathroom carpet again" or my favorite, just inserting YYZ in place of a regular word like 'the'.. "YYZ, YYZ first thing that YYZ plumber did was fix YYZ, YYZ drain in YYZ kitchen" Developing a stutter during this time is very fun

The smart answer is we alphabetize alphabetically Just checked the phone book, Abacus Education Services is listed before ABC bookshop, so I guess we would put you before YYZ. The iPod puts YYZ last as well. Hell, what does it matter, 148 songs, 13.1 hours of music, and the "Rush A to Z" playlist is running as I speak. Thanks for the prompt 1974 fan , and you're right 1-0-0-1-0-0-1, I do have waaay to much time on my hands.

Slaine mac Roth
Whichever way you look at it, You Bet Your Life shouldn't be the last song anyway. It should either be YYZ or You Can't Fight It (which wasn't on the list anyway). Another song MIA was Not Fade Away.

I usually get up to take a piss when that comes on though. Kidding - it's a good song.

I think I remember listening to it on my way down to Shoreline.. Moonraker? Ditigal Man? Yup they did. That was way cool. I had my laptop tuned in almost all the time during those days. At CP, Trinity I think kept tabs on every single tune and listed them all.
Moonraker
They did for both the VT Mountain View show (9/20/02) and for the R30 Mountain View show (7/10/04). There was an exception though, they forgot to play Hand Over Fist on the VT tour one. The bone is a very good station. The past few weekends they have been doing a 3fer thing, where they play 3 songs from a band at a time. They got to Rush a few times, and played a lot of rare tunes you wouldnt expect to hear on the radio. Lets see, they got to In The Mood, Distant Early Warning, Xanadu (all 11 minutes). They play a lot of Rush tunes on that station and they arent all just the main radio hits.
